Curry (good for 2 people) and kimchi soup

Oh my gosh, where to begin! My boyfriend and I stayed at an airbnb nearby, whose owner has recommended Aardvark express for dinner. When we went there, the owner called Dan, the owner of Aardvark that we were coming and my gosh his hospitality was out of this world! He makes the most amazing meals, with such exquisite combination of ingredients and everything tasted like home to me! Dan is such an awesome guy and we are definitely coming back here!!!

If you are hiking this way, you have to stop at Aardvark Express for lunch. The Hurry Curry was phenomenal! Totally worth the stop and was the perfect ending to our morning hike. Service was quick and very friendly. They even had great lunch options for kids - we got the rice/teriyaki bowl for our three-year-old, who ate the whole thing. The little patio they have set up is the perfect way to relax and enjoy being outside while you eat. It was especially a bonus for us since we had our dog, who could sit with us while we eat. I have to say - this little place was quite a pleasant surprise! We will be back!

Location, Location, Location. Isn't that the golden rule of real estate? This place has such a cool location. I'm sitting in a little patio area, it's 80 F, and there's snow all around! Craziest thing I've seen. And by snow, I mean, 12 feet deep. The service is excellent. Nice guy, will chat with you if he's not too busy. The food is all good ingredients, homemade taste, a great place to eat. Reasonable prices, and they take credit cards.

A little chilly out on the patio, but totally worth it!

We came to Aardvark Express after the Cascade Express Marathon, and the Curry in a Hurry was an AMAZING post-run recovery meal. All 8 people in our party ordered Curry in a Hurry, and we all loved it. Our party's one critique is that the meal could include a little more sauce. Definitely a good choice for anyone stopping through Snoqualmie Pass!

Soup and hurry curry bowl.

Yummy! Stopped on a cold Tuesday for a bowl of soup and hurry curry bowl... fantastic. Well balanced flavors and a lot of food for the price! The curry bowl and soup easily fed two hungry adults.

Aardvark Express has some cool new digs! If don't stop here when going through Snoqualimie Pass you are missing out!

This is THE place to stop at Snocrummie Pass! I spend a bunch of time up at the pass and beyond, and I always make a big effort to get to this little food truck operation. he is growing too! He just added an Airstream trailer to get people out of the rain and snow for this winter, and he has plans to put in a RailCar next year. The real reason to go is the awesome food, really good stuff! If you go in the early fall you will find the place packed with thru-hikers from the PCT, they have been hiking from Mexico and are almost to Canada when they hit this place. Trust me when I tell you that the PCT hikers have been talking about stopping at Aardvark Express since they crossed the Oregon-Washington border! Also hit DRU-BRU brewpub across the street, Aardvark will even deliver your food to DRU-BRU if you want them to.....Chicken Curry and awesome fresh brew! Yes please!

Been here a couple times now and is good every time! Teriyaki bowl and the iron horse wrap is probably my favorite!!

Dan at the Aardvarkexpress continues to astound me. Here is a TOGO two Hurry Curry. These are still like totally ridiculously delicious.

Dan at the Aardvarkexpress continues to astound me. Here are two TOGO Hurry Curry. (See picture with three bowls). These are still like 11$ each. When I get home and mix it all up to heat up,,..well just look at it? Gad, it is like enough for 3 or 4 people. That is a huge bowl! The added apple chunks, the cilantro, the pineapple cake....totally ridiculously delicious. I love the review by Tim G. and Mary W. Both right on the spot. . ......Keep it up Dan, you're the Man...... So yeah my tip is..try to talk em into separate containers for rice/chicken and veg and sauce. That way when you get home you assemble and heat each. And this also solves the major problem of driving along smelling this delicious stuff and not able to resist eating huge blissful forkfuls....only to arrive home with the goods ....for your friends ...family looking somewhat diminished.....whoops. Beebop is my second favorite...and did you know the mac dog or burger has 4 kinds of cheese...including best Bleu....wow I sort of scarfed most of my friend Shelly's when she inadvertently offered me 'a taste'. whoops.....better order some more.

Shot Eight!

Dan and Aardvark have become a staple for Snoqualmie Pass patrons. His Hurry Curry and other amazing items which also include his amazing smoothies! I kept my lunch in the cooler today on our way over the pass so I could get some curry.

Breakfast sandwich with tofu bacon instead of regular bacon. Soooo good!!!!

Came across this place at random on the way back from a hike, and glad we did. Just ate the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. Got it with tofu bacon because I'm pescatarian. SOOOOO good, buttery, delicious. Husband really loved his curry, too. Very friendly cooks. Would highly recommend. Grab a napkin or two, it's messy! But so worth it.

Great way to break up a long drive! Stop at Aardvarks and get the curry! Just enough spice and the pineapple cake is rad.

Asked for 2 hot chocolates for kids. Got some spicy drink with the consistency of mud. It was too spicy for a 3 and 6 year old. A wasted $6.

Great place to hit for a break on I-90. Terrific fusion of asian and latino. Hands down the best food on the Pass.

Hi Dan! I hope you are well :) I know it's a long shot that you'll get this message but are you closed for good?! :(…

As other reviews have mentioned, they do get busy and it's a little bit of a wait, so don't go in thinking you'll be out in five minutes - you won't be. You're given a buzzer while your food is being prepped which gives you ample time to snag a drink and find a seat. The Swiftfired Pizza menu is extensive which makes it hard to choose - they have so many that sound good! I had to go with the PCT because as a pregnant person, I just couldn't pass up something with pickles on it. Admittedly that was the only word I saw, because I was shocked when I got it and it was covered in shredded broccoli (which is listed right there on the menu). The PCT is definitely a little different than what I was expecting, but still good. If possible, I think I'd ask for a different cheese other than provolone because that didn't mesh well in my opinion. On the simpler side, their cheese bread is delicious and their pre-packaged garden salad did a good job of giving me the veggie fix I needed. We pass through Cle Elum on the way to Leavenworth a couple of times a year at least, so I'm sure we will stop by again soon!

Working with Tim Putnam of Smokeblossom Catering turned out to be a completely and utterly…read morenightmare experience. Last winter (Dec 2017) we signed a contract with Tim to cater our wedding in the Methow (late summer 2018). We then promptly sent him a deposit check for $1,500. After not hearing anything for a week, we discovered that the deposit check had been stolen out of our mailbox at our home in Seattle. After this discovery, we immediately reached out to Tim to both send him a new check, as well as get his help by confirming with our bank that he had never received the stolen check. Tim had absolutely no empathy or understanding of the situation. He immediately backed out from the catering agreement which left us scrambling. In order for us to recover the stolen funds, our bank needed Tim to sign a document stating that he had not cashed the check and hadn't received payment. Tim absolutely refused to do this. He repeatedly accused myself, my fiance, and my sister (who was assisting with planning) of stealing the check ourselves, trying to steal his identity and personal information, and lying to him. Multiple times he hung up on us while telephoning and behaved completely irrational. We worked incredibly hard to make the process smooth for him. We spent hours on the phone with his bank and our bank, as well as the Seattle Police Department, trying to recover the $1,500 funds. We sent Tim written confirmation and documentation of our engagement and impending wedding, but he only threatened us and continued to accuse us of fraud and attempting to steal his personal information. In total, we spent over 50 hours trying to sort out this mess. We were absolutely stunned and heartbroken throughout the whole process, having not only lost a large portion of our wedding budget, but also being treated so poorly during what should have been a happy time. Our initial impression of Tim was positive, which is why we initially signed a contract to do our catering with him. However, as we worked to recover the funds (which we were never able to recover the $1,500 due to Tim's staunch refusal to confirm to the bank that he never received payment), it became extremely clear that we could never, ever recommend Tim and Smokeblossom Catering to anyone. I cannot speak to Tim's culinary abilities, but I would advise anyone interested in Tim Putnam and his catering company to steer clear of this irrational man and his business and his poor and distasteful business and communication skills. Thankfully, we found another fantastic and local catering company to work with, and the food at our wedding was lovely and enjoyed by all.

I did not try everything but it all looked good. The shrimp with a smokey aioli (?) was delicious: the fried chicken on a biscuit, the mushroom cups and the individual mac and cheese--fun! The desserts looked great too. They catered this event last year too and they are consistently wonderful.
