Wonderful food!! My nephew (a foodie) kept telling me about this incredible food at the top of Snoqualmie Pass. When he told me the restaurant was in a trailer, I was skeptical at best. I travel to and from Chelan on a regular basis, but I am one of those anal types that does not make a stop.....for anything. I now make regular stops at the Aardvark. Try anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed. Dan, the owner and chef, travels to Seattle to buy fresh produce and spices. He creates dishes you would hope to find on the menus at cutting edge restaurants in Seattle. Best tacos on the planet!!! I really enjoy the ying yang textures of flavor that Dan crafts into each of his creations. The guy is an outstanding chef. PERIOD. His ginger chicken tacos are not to be dismissed. And while you munch he will entertain you with lively conversation, witty quips. And if you are lucky a couple of none PC jokes. Be prepared though. The locals are a scruffy crowd. And the best people on this planet. Yip. And we eat and hang here. One word of caution. Dan has a bad Stink eye for "special" people that demand he offer Starbuck coffee. This is the best FOOD on the pass. This is not a stripper coffee shack. This place is incredible. Everything is cooked to perfection and never disappoints. Dan is very friendly and always good for conversation. Did not expect to find this place when the nearest grocery store is over 20 miles away- i got the teriyaki bowl and the hurry curry (at the owners recommendation). He was right about the curry bowl- it was a perfect meal with just the right amount of creamy and spice with a crunchy cabbage on top. Served with surprisingly addictive pineapple bread. If your into an explosion of flavor that's over the moon then you must visit the Aardvark at the pass. Don't let the small trapings of food served from inside an RV fool you. The saying that great things come in small packages would be applicable in this situation. A shack at the gas station... huh? The only reason I went is because the car was also low on gas. Shack is very cute, so I immediately felt better about my choice... Menu choices looked very interesting, actually intriguing, and I could imagine the dishes being great at a sit down restaurant. By the time I got my order in, there was a ten people line behind me. Then the food came... the cross between Bánh mì and a taco with blue cheese is a forbidden symphony of ingredients that should not work together, but they take you to another level of deliciousness. Then came the curry bowl with non other than a pineapple cake on the top... just the cake was so fluffy and flaky, by the time I even touched the curry I was in a frenzy. I remember getting a sample cup of something even better than what I was eating, but it all melted into a succulent haze by then... whew! Of course there is a story... I was at Snoqualmie Pass, and went to the US Forest Ranges office to ask about snowshoeing, and also if there's anything decent nearby where to grab a bite... Everyone gushed about the little shack by the gas station, called Aardvark. So a shack at the gas station... huh? This is one of those rare finds, a small casual unassuming little place with absolutely amazing food! I lived a life of a foodie in Manhattan for several years and it happens from time to time to randomly run into a little hole-in-the-wall place that just has excellent food. My accidental experience with Aardvark transported me right back to my best culinary adventures in New York City, and food wise it is comparable to any of those great places I remember. I'm still amazed by the food! Five stars is not enough...! I'll be back! I will make sure if I ever come within 20 miles from Snoqualmie Pass to definitely go there. There are even things on that menu I have not yet tried. I'm excited just thinking about this. Great job to the people running this place, and great job to Washingtonians for keeping it in business. I was in the area on vacation, and as I drove from Moses Lake to Seattle, I stopped at this place to get a coffee. As I stepped into this cute little log cabin looking food truck, i smelled the most delicious aroma. I asked the owner what it was and he said it was curry, something he's knowm for. He gave me a taste and it was amazing. Coming from Central California, I'm accustomed to eating really good curry, but this I have to say, surpassed my expectations. The flavor is spot on. I'm hooked! When all you want to do is get outdoors and not worry about packing a whole meal......you can stop at the Aardvark on the way and fill up with a hot and tasty curry. I keep meaning to try the other items on the menu, but can't pass up on the Hurry Curry bowl every time. The flavor is just the right combination of tender morsels of chicken and sweet, spicy, creamy curry goodness over rice. Top that with fresh cilantro and a hunk of pineapple cake....and it's a winnah! The trailer is hard to notice as you drive by, but I understand that will change when the planned for train car gets placed next to the gas station before winter. Absolutely wonderful food! We tried the tofu teriyaki bowl and the tofu curry bowl-- both were absolutely delicious and included some pineapple cake on top (quite the unique touch). At $9/bowl the prices may be a little steep but are quite normal for the area. Also ordered hot chocolate, which was perhaps the best I've ever had! Service was incredibly fast and friendly. I'd say this is the best food we've had in the Snoqualmie area and we'll definitely be back for more! read more

So pleasantly surprised! This small establishment has great service, good vibe and delicious, fresh food. We were hungry after a hike to Franklin Falls and really enjoyed this place.
