Yes this location in Friendswood off Parkwood is very helpful anything I've gone in to purchase…read morethey've always help make sure I get the right item.

This review is based upon multiple visits and is not a one-time experience…read more I stopped in and asked them to use their OBD engine code reader. She brought it out to the truck, plugged it in, and went back inside to plug the device back into their computer to interpret the code. Long story short, the printout she gave me was spot-on perfect (5 stars). I replaced the parts but upon my return, they wouldn't clear the code to make my engine light turn off (deduction of stars). On a subsequent visit, I returned some things I bought. Yes, I lost my receipt. They gave me store credit. It's policy. I get it and agree with it. However, returning two items should not take 30 minutes. It literally took 30 minutes. I'm not exaggerating. Also, he screwed up and ended up having to return the items separately giving me two different merchandise cards. The incompetence was staggering. My wife was waiting in the car and was livid when I got back in the car (more deductions). On yet another visit, I bought some things to use the above mentioned credits. I purchased way more than the $9 in credit I had. I also ordered a Mini Cooper wiper blade for my daughter's car. It wasn't in stock but I pre-paid and was told it would be in the store the next day. I went back two days later only to find out it wasn't available. No one called to tell me it wasn't there. No one called to ask me if they should order it from a different warehouse. I told them to refund my money. Well, since I had used a $9 credit along with my purchase, their system defaults to store credit even though I bought way more than $9 of product. It also forced them to give me store credit for the entire amount of the wiper, not just the original $9. I had my receipt. Now I'm stuck with another merchandise card for $13. This policy is stupid. I fully understand the policy if my original purchase not enough to cover the $13 but it was more than enough. This aggravation is not worth shipping here. I will go back to spend my $13 but that will be my final visit. Bottom line - Gross incompetence of the employees along with some ignorant corporate policies made my multiple experiences miserable. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Came in today for an unscheduled visit. Last Saturday(02/28), our TPMS light came on just minutes…read morebefore we were to set sail on a cruise out of Galveston. After checking to make sure there was no obvious blowout, we decided to park the car and look into the issue when we returned on March 5th. So this morning when we got off the ship, the light was still there, so we drove straight to the dealership. We were greeted promptly and our issue was inspected and resolved quickly. The only part of our experience that keeps this review from being 5 stars is that my wife needed a new battery for her key fob. She's the primary driver of our VW. So hers gets alot more use than mine. They charged us $14 to change the battery. My issue isn't the amount. It's the fact that we were even charged at all. I consider Volkswagen a quality car manufacturer. I don't expect to be nickled and dimed for trivial things. Especially when the car is barely 2 years old. I've been a customer of Gulf Coast Nissan for 19 years and they've NEVER charged me to replace a key fob battery. I consider Volkswagen to be of higher class than Nissan. Your customer service perks should reflect that.

We went to VW of Clearlake as a walk in on a Saturday evening and met with a great salesman, Jerry…read more Spent an hour or two working on pricing with him and his sales lead and then shook hands with salesman , sales lead , and floor manager. In fact the floor manager even went as far as saying " I'm happy to do the deal as long as you give us a great survey" . Floor manager returned a few minutes after all parties shook hands and then said "I'm not going to do the deal as we agreed , you'll need to pay us X amount more if you want the vehicle" . No explanation , only that they decided they didn't want to honor the agreement from 5 minutes prior. Needless to say - we were stunned as we had been at the dealer for nearly three hours and all parties agreed to take delivery late into the evening if the deal terms were signed up then and there. We politely left but then really thought about the events that unfolded and realized they were just typical tactics. Our salesman Jerry was in as much shock as we were that his management team unwound a deal after making an agreement. In fact , we were happy to hand him a win that he rightfully deserved after a slow Saturday. In this great state, a man's word and a handshake is a sacred bond. Unfortunately , this dealership chose to prioritize a tiny amount of profit for a lifelong local customer. We called a dealership on the north side of town when we exited the parking lot that seems to understand the value of transparency , honesty , and customer loyalty better and will now work with them despite living around the corner from clear lake VW. I wish Jerry the best , as he doesn't deserve the short end of the deal his management team gave him. I purchase 3-5 vehicles a year and have never seen events unfold in a manner like they did at Clear Lake VW
