This place is amazing!! Once you come for the first time, Farah (the owner) will be the only way to go. Whether you prefer waxing or threading, she does a great job. And her prices are not high like my old place. Hidden away inside Tri-Balance yoga is absolutely amazing eyebrow threading! It's super cheap but my eyebrows have never looked better. Even my boyfriend commented on how great they looked. Best Facial & Threading! Facial - I had a glorious facial! Everyone was super sweet, accommodating & professional! They use Dermatoligica products (professional grade) and it was wonderful. The Salon is clean, stylish & relaxing. Threading - I have always waxed & plucked my eyebrows, so I tried the threading. It was SUPER FAST, CLEAN & doesn't hurt anymore more than plucking! I will never go back to wax or tweezers again. And as weird, as this may sound, I think it needs to be said & there isn't a non-blunt way to say it so here it goes...I am Sicilian & Norwegian, I always try new things BUT I know "American" women are sometimes nervous about going to a Persian, Syrian, Indian...even Polish or whatever - non-"white" kind of salon. All I can tell you is GET OVER IT. You are missing out. So for the timid gals (and guys) out there...The women at As'raish speak perfect English, are modern, bubbly & welcoming. Don't get fooled by the fancy frew-frew $300 a service salons, Aa'raish Salon is just as good, has better prices, without the stuck up atmosphere. The lady who did my eyebrows today was fantastic, she even told me how to fix them (one was somewhat thinner and further back than the other). I didn't necessarily even notice that one was just a tad off. She explained to me everything she did and then trimmed them. This is a professional - someone who gives you their opinion instead of just rushing through the shaping to get the next customer in the chair. I'm impressed and my eyebrows look great. read more

I don't understand how a salon in Schaumburg has such steep prices when their esthetician's are not even licensed. A few weeks ago, a sweet, young woman really struggled with my waxing and took way too much time. The job eventually got done, but she needs more training. I don't blame her, but I do blame the owner for not properly training her at the least. You can't demand such outrageous prices and do mediocre work. I found AA'arish via internet and first visited them last year summer so its been a year that I've been using their services mainly facials, henna application (on hair), waxing, threading etc. I feel that I owe this review to people who rely on sites like Yelp before trying a new service and to the owner of Aa'raish who is a total professional. Here are my observations - THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING - (most of the indian salons in the US lack this) Excellent facials - I'm originally from India and living in the US from last decade; I must say this is by far THE BEST facial experience in terms of technician, time and products that are used. Other services are also how they should be - Impeccable and quick. NO-NONSENSE ATTITUDE - You must try them if you want get some real quality work done without lots of talking (no long stories etc). CLEAN, VALUE TIME (especially if you have taken appointment) without BANK BREAKING COST They have the expertise and a very positive attitude which provides an outstanding experience to the customer. The entire time you are there the owner will be either on her phone or playing with her laptop computer. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I will never go back! I'd rather go to HIBA salon next door! I have very full thick eyebrows and she made them too thin and uneven. I went home and had to use tweezers to get hairs she did miss. She also did not trim them and they NEED to be trimmed. I will take the trip to carol stream to Shardas Beauty Salon. They only charge $6 compared to the $8 charged here and do a much better job all around. read more

I started coming to this salon when I moved to Schaumburg. I was tired of going to Devon for my threading so I gave this place a try. I am EXTREMELY picky but after my first visit I was completely satisified. They did an excellent job with my threading and they were always attentive to what my concerns were and were mindful of them. I like the vibe of this salon and the owner, Anjum, so much that I booked her as my make up artist for my wedding and all of my other wedding services such as waxing and mehndi. I couldn't have been happier. She picked up on the fact that I am an extremely particular person and was able to really consult with me during my trial to understand what I wanted. She recommended for me to do the airbrush make up service but I was apprehensive. I don't wear a lot of face make up so I didn't want to look too "made up." After talking with Anjum and doing some research I decided to do it and it was worth every penny! The skin make up all looked so natural and I got never ending compliments on my make up. I go religiously every month for my microderm to Aa'raish, been going for the past year or so. I have tried micro in many places and believe me its one of the best micro I have gotten so far and for a great price. I see the results instantly. All the dead skin is gone and I have a great glow. I get my micro done from Anjum, she is very accommodating with my schedules, very professional and very attentive to my concerns. She also gives me great skin care advice during my microderm session. The salon is clean and staff is very friendly and welcoming. They give a face massage after the micro and the hot towel on shoulders. They do an excellent job at threading and waxing as well. Went here for an eyebrow threading- the girl who did it was very courteous and professional. It took barely any time at all- two of us were done within 15 minutes. The price for eyebrow threading was quite reasonable. However, the person I was with inquired about facial waxing, and the price was quite excessive, so I would definitely double check the prices before deciding whether to get it done or not. read more

My first time going to this place went okay at first. 20 minute wait, no big deal. So I sat down and began the eyebrow threading. She finished my eyebrows in 45 seconds and handed me the mirror to look in, leaving my ripped out hairs in my eyes to irritate them. I've never had a place do that, usually they wipe them away. Upon taking a 15 second glance I noticed she COMPLETELY ruined the shape of my left brow, and left hairs all underneath & on the sides. I have never had a worse job done on my eyebrows in my life. Super unsatisfied, and angry that I must spend an extra 10 minutes everyday to fill in and fix my left brow, on top of having to go home and finish the job myself. Brows are important. I had my makeup done from Anjum for my reception day. Being a bride, I feel like I was NOT satisfied with her work at all. First and foremost, I highly disliked the fact that there was barely any consultation from her side. She was more focused on what she wanted to do rather than how I wanted it to be done. Secondly, as a professional makeup artist, she should know how to work with your face. But I was highly disappointed after looking at my pictures. I could easily point out some major faults in her makeup skills (My wedding was in NYC and had my makeup done from a different makeup artist, which I absolutely loved, therefore, I can definitely a comparison and differentiate good vs. bad). Anjum used scotch tape to even out my eye makeup - I was shocked! This is a trick used on youtube by beginners not a professional. She is a first makeup artist I've ever met who likes to sit down while putting makeup on her client - Never seen that before. I barely had any space where she did my makeup but she said she HAD to sit as well else she can't do her work (like seriously???). Plus when she was done with my makeup, I noticed she barely gave me any coverage on my problematic areas and also, my lipstick was unevenly spreading out from my lower lip (again, her attitude makes me wanna question her expertise/knowledge in this profession) My point is, if you call yourself a professional and charging an arm and length, please make sure you know what you are doing. I personally would never suggest anybody to get their makeup done from Anjum - you can see lack of skills in her work from my eyeliner to face coverage to my lipstick and everything else. The waxing is over priced (even though they had a 20% off sign) I still paid about $45 for face waxing and it wasnt even thorough. But they are better then Hiba Salon....
