Proceed with caution. I ordered a hair topper from Ersolene. Her business is not run professionally…read moreand she does not write anything down or give you a receipt. She said she wrote my phone number down wrong so she couldn't contact me to tell me the topper was in - but we had been texting, so I am not sure why she didn't look there for my number. I finally contacted her to find out what was going on and that's when she said she lost my number. She told me she's an expert, but unfortunately she sold me a product completely unsuitable for me - even though her website claims she will find the "perfect" hairpiece for her clients. She also told me she guarantees her work and I found out that was a lie. Once the topper came in, I went to the stylist that Ersolene personally recommended and the stylist said it was far too dense for me. I also noticed it was very wavy (not what we agreed upon) and completely the wrong texture for me. I asked Ersolene for a refund and she refused. She offered to thin it out, but I paid $650 for a custom topper designed for me, not an after-market, thinned out piece. I even offered to take less than 100% refund and she could keep the topper and she wouldn't even discuss it. Her business practices are deceptive and she is not at all customer-service-oriented. Once I complained and threatened a lawsuit she took her website down - which shows you just how shady this woman is. It's ok though, I have screenshots of all her dishonest claims that I can use in small claims court. I wish we could have worked something out, but she was unreasonable.

Her work is impeccable; I suffer from hair loss and have always been very self conscious about how my hair looks. Ersolene takes the time to get to know you and your unique issues. Look and feel your best; this is how I feel every time I leave Face Value Beauty Bar for my waxing…read moreand skin care needs. I've been seeing Julie for a few years now and she's always given the best-in-class service leaving me looking and feeling great. Aside from the high-quality job her prices are super competitive compared to big brand names and commercial enterprises who offer the same within the area and charge twice as much and take twice as long. That being said, it's a no-brainer to go with Julie as her skill is in a top-tier class all on its own. Aside from this, Julie is very personable, and it feels like interacting with a friend for a more humanized experience vs something transactional as just another customer/client. This adds a layer of personal touch thus she makes you feel understood with a more consultative approach to understanding human relations as much as she knows the technicalities of her services and skin care itself. Which is a great foundation of Face Value Beauty Bar being so successful. All in all, if you're reading this then without a doubt, I highly recommend Julie for your waxing and skin care needs. You'll love the outcome of the services you get, how you look, and how you feel! I 100% guarantee it! Just a heads up this is the same review I left on google, but I had such a good experience I wanted…read moreto let more people know. I knew from the first five minutes of my Zoom consultation with Dr. Khatib that he was "the guy." I could tell immediately how much he cared about his work. He spoke about the procedure and his career with a level of passion you rarely find. It's always a pleasure to listen to someone talk about something they truly love doing. I was an out-of-town patient, and the staff at CHI made sure I was well prepared for the entire procedure and my stay in Illinois. At the consultation, he walked me through every step, and together we decided on placement, style, and density. I even had an unusual request that he'd never heard before -- not only was he open-minded about it, he was genuinely excited. Dr. Khatib was professional, competent, and just super cool overall. If he wasn't my doctor, I'd want to be his friend. The procedure itself was a breeze. They made sure I was comfortable and pain-free the whole time. I'm only about 60 hours out from surgery, and so far zero discomfort. The rest of the staff were all lovely, with that great sense of humor you can only find in Chicago girls. Getting a hair transplant initially felt embarassing and kind of weird. I'd never had cosmetic surgery before, and in my head there was a bit of a stigma around it. Not once did I feel uncomfortable during my entire time at CHI. I could tell immediately after the surgery that the plan Dr. Khatib laid out was perfect. I'd recommend him to anyone considering the procedure, and I'd urge middle-aged men like myself to go natural and conservative with the hairline you choose. Another thing that's special about Chicago Hair Institute is that Dr. Khatib harvests and places each individual follicle himself. After doing some research, I learned this is rare and time-consuming, and not the standard at many other clinics that use multiple technicians to speed up the process. The doctors at CHI are artists who take pride in their work. Much respect to Dr. Konior for building a clinic that caters so well to its clients, and for hiring incredible physicians like Dr. Khatib. Also, it was way cheaper than I expected going in. Your experience may vary depending on your hair and genetics, but I was pleasantly surprised. You get what you pay for, and I'm glad I spent a bit more to stay in the U.S., communicate in my native language with the person doing surgery on my head, and skip an international flight home with bandages still on. I really can't say enough good things about the whole experience, and I will gladly tell anyone who will listen that I got a hair transplant and I got it at the Chicago Hair Institute. Might even go back just to say hi to the crew and fill a small patchy spot in my beard. I'm starting to understand why people can get "addicted" to cosmetic surgery, I feel great. Also, I'll gladly leave before and after photos if anyone is interested. In a couple of months when my hair grows back.

He was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and was honest and straightforward throughout the entire process. I never felt like I was being sold something or pressured into a decision. One thing that really stood out was how much time he spent designing my hairline. I originally wanted to lower it more, but he explained why that wasn't the best approach and focused on creating something that would look natural/ best for my face, and age well. Looking back, I'm so glad I trusted him. He was meticulous and thoughtful, and it was obvious he genuinely cared about getting it right. The procedure itself went flawlessly. Everything was clean, organized, and professional. Dr. Khatib personally placed the grafts, and the level of care and precision he put into his work was honestly impressive. So far, my healing has been smooth, my donor area looks great, and I'm falling more in love with my hairline every day. It's still early, but I couldn't be happier with how things are progressing. More than anything, I'm just grateful I found him. Dr. Khatib is not only incredibly talented at what he does, but he's also kind, genuine, and the type of doctor who makes you feel completely comfortable putting your trust in him. The entire staff was wonderful as well. I can't recommend them highly enough.
