I ended up having complications but they were nothing that could have been predicted nor prevented by the doctor nor the staff. I am an especially hard stick when it comes to my IV lately and am waiting on a port. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Chen, was able to assist with an IV in my wrist. It was painful yet very affective and got the job done! Dr. Saad, the GI specialist performing my EGD, was not very friendly nor did he explain the results. Instead I vaguely remember him giving the info to the nurse to give to me when I woke up so he could leave. I remember waking up and wanting to be like, "It's okay to talk to me. I'm not scary. I'm just a person too." But he still did a great job and I appreciate his work!

I received tremendous care and guidance by first-rate therapists who sincerely cared about my recovery and worked with me to accomplish all my/their goals. My surgeon moved to Santa Fe and another hospital system but I'm planning on having him perform my otherTKR in early 2024. I'll be returning to Southern for my PT, no doubt about it! And I'm headed back to Southern shortly for neurological PT to help with my neuropathy-causing falls. I'm confidant I'll receive the same exemplary clinical care. If you require physical therapy, please consider this group. A great group of skilled, kind clinicians that I cannot recommend more highly.

So this is not my first rodeo with surgeries. I'm Highly…read moreupset with how I have been treated as a patient. After surgery I did not receive a phone call for follow up like most surgeries do. Then they said their reason for not calling me is because I already had a follow up appointment scheduled the following week. The surgery recovery staff had an attitude and rushed me to hurry up and wake up from recovery. He took the stitches out but cut my foot ugly. Like he rushed the work or experimented with my foot. Now the stitches are out you can see an infection is taking place. The doctor seem to have a don't care attitude since he already got paid from the Military. Tri-care paid him long before. Then I call to address my concern and be really didn't seem to care about my infection except the fact that he could prescribe me antibiotic. I had to call multiple times before they closed for the weekend. Otherwise I would of had to go to the ER to keep from The infection getting worse. I'm on the verge of filing a long suite
