I dropped my laptop off on Tuesday and I paid around $85 dollars to run a diagnostic on my Macbook Air to see if we could figure out what was wrong. The man called me on Wednesday to give me an update, and he called me again on Thursday to let me know my laptop couldn't be fixed without a significant cost. It turned out to be an issue with the logic board which was out of my budget to fix as a student. During the phone call, the same guy explained the problem to me in incredible detail so I could make an informed choice about what to do next. I could tell his priority was finding a solution I was happy with because he kindly answered every question I had with a positive attitude and clear answers. I trusted his expertise a lot and I probably would have said yes to any service he recommended + I am appreciative he didn't treat my situation as a cash grab. I ended up buying a new laptop because it cost about $200 more than getting the logic board fixed. Per the man's recommendation, I purchased Apple Care, too. I highly recommend The MacMan!

I will add, we also had a small crack in the corner of the screen as well and questioned if that smaller crack had caused issues with the screen.
