I first went to Ace Hardware in LaBelle, Fl., where i was told that they only cut their key blanks. Asked how much it would cost me if I bought there key blanks and was told that they did not have it in stock (would have to order the key blanks). I attempted to order and was then told that they do not carry my key blanks (2007 Dodge Ram 1500). Bottom line cutting machine available, key and blanks in hand, and could not help me after requesting a supervisor. Ace Hardware was not providing any help at all. I was offered help as I was walking out of the store by informing me that they had a phone number of a locksmith the could resolve my key cutting that day. Great, wonder how much kick back there getting for referrals. I decided to call Builder's Choice Supply, not knowing if they cut car keys. Friendly, staff immediately answered and responded "If you have the blanks we cut them for free." I couldn't believe it, drove over, and in minutes walked out with keys in hand cut for free. Builder's Choice Supply is definitely there to help you without any intentions of making additional monies. I would never return to ace hardware, even if prices were cheaper in the future (hardly ever). I am now a loyal custom to Builder's Choice Supply.

The managers that we have had the pleasure to deal with, Roy, Josh and Roger are always friendly and helpful. The employees like Susan and Sabrina in garden and Liz, Dave, Elizabeth and Cosmo inside the store are always very helpful and pleasant. Even with Walmart now in our little town, we still and will continue to shop at our little wonder, Vision Ace.

Heading to Ace Hardware instead of a big box was pleasant and they absolutely have tons of stuff here. I can't think of anything that they DON'T carry here. We figured out what to buy, found an employee to open the case, and I'm now the owner of two reciprocal saw blades. We brought them back to the house, mounted the first one and within two minutes, bam, we're through the bolt. That's called using the right tool for the job! Friendly service, reasonable prices (everything's expensive these days!) and a tremendous selection. Waited by the lock cabinet for 10 minutes after we asked for help. I don't like to name drop, but I'm the great granddaughter of Arthur Losey. In the 80's and 90's he was well know by the owner! To top that off, the shameful treatment we received we chose ACE we only received because we didn't want to give the big box stores our business.

What a good old fashioned hardware store. They have everything from nuts and bolts of every kind…read moreto pet supplies, gardening flowers plants, ceiling fans , they cut keys, mix paint anything you need to make improvements on your home. The staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful. I especially love that they carry Frost top soda in their cooler. I love picking up a bottle on a hot day. It's so refreshing. I enjoy the nice break from the big home improvement stores. Like Lowe's and Home Depot. Here you get a down home personal touch from people who really care and want to help you with your home needs.

I ordered 2000 feet of 1.5 inch irrigation PVC to be delivered to my farm 14 miles away and after paying for it while waiting for delivery the next day, I was told that they wouldn't be working or delivering in 55° weather with light rain. At 1 PM, they called me asking if they could deliver, but since I didn't have my help here, we rescheduled for the next morning, once again could not deliver in 50° weather with sprinkling rain. I understand that's a little chilly for Florida, but for an industry that supplies outdoor infrastructure this is just silly. the owner had an awful attitude and refused to give me a time window when I could expect my delivery, told me I could come pick it up myself if I needed it so bad, and when I asked him why he felt the need to keep arguing with me about why they couldn't give me a reasonable delivery window he told me "oh I will argue with anyone" and then continue to dismiss me without letting me know when I should be expecting my products This volume of supplies requires that I have extra hands at my business to help me manage the unloading process, this is business as usual, and should be treated as such. Without a delivery time window I am unable to be present to receive. I was planning on using windmill to put in 5 acres of intensive farm irrigation on a new farm property but I ended up asking for my money back and canceling the order. I'm going to go somewhere else.
