What a good old fashioned hardware store. They have everything from nuts and bolts of every kind to pet supplies, gardening flowers plants, ceiling fans , they cut keys, mix paint anything you need to make improvements on your home. The staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful. I especially love that they carry Frost top soda in their cooler. I love picking up a bottle on a hot day. It's so refreshing. I enjoy the nice break from the big home improvement stores. Like Lowe's and Home Depot. I frequent Ace Hardware in Lehigh Acres frequently. The staff is always so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Today I went in there twice. While hanging my curtains I pulled off some of the paint on the wall and inquired about a sample size can to buy. She explained to me that the samples are very hard to match up and usually they do not sell. The woman was so thoughtful, there was a regular size can of the color that would match my wall, and she just gave it to me because it was not sellable. I am very grateful to her, I wish I had gotten her name, she also was one of the cashiers today as well. Thank you Ace!! read more

I had come to area as a volunteer my general contractor to buy materials to help the and this store is the most professional hardware store besides Lowe's I've ever been into they literally have every material that I needed. are so professional. It's not even funny. I don't know anybody's name. I don't really have the ability to care but they are professional and this is the place that you can get anything for a decent value. I mean their stuff is so much cheaper than Home Depot. It is better quality. The people are very kind. I that I was doing in the manager gave me a my time to help people in Fort Myers and I that and one of the managers came up and said I'll give you $75 off of a chainsaw I said thank you a franchise but every one of them is respectful and kind especially They're good they're that love their customers and they're doing what they should. I'm like who doesn't care about their place actually has everything and if they can't get it, they'll have it delivered to you. They're an amazing this store deserves to be recognized as one of the best in the country for the Ace Hardware brand and I'm very proud the shop here when I'm in the area to help people I do business in the area as well and they always have but I mean they don't have a lot of box or whatever they have all the tools that I need I don't carry my expensive tools when I'm doing volunteer work here in this area, but they always have the right jobs and I've never returned anything to because everything is top especially the owner. probably an amazing human being he has amazing will go out of their way to help anybody if you're buying a $.99 or one cent screw they're gonna help you just as if you're buying a six $700 blower or they give you the same respect if you buy anything in the store whether it's cheap expensive or 1000 you're gonna get the same exact respect but actually the most respect I've ever gotten as a contractor general contractor who has spent $900,000 at the Home Depot the treated badly so I try to come to the store when I'm in the area as much as possible to get the right tools to help people out and they're always respectful and treat me with respect unlike the Home read more

0.03.20 Update to prior 1-star review: Management was responsive and followed up with me in person when I came into the store to exchange an item. Management has taken corrective action and didn't offer excuses. I appreciated that and have amended my review. But if you notice that you aren't greeted, helped while shopping, or thanked, then their corrective actions are slipping and you should say something to management. Second time I've been in here and been ignored by employees. Tonight, 6 of them were standing in the main aisle conversing. Only one (Jasmine?) said, "Hello." No one asked if they could help me. I'm a POC, and when the older white employee with an earpiece made it to my aisle, I addressed him THREE TIMES and he wouldn't answer me. Finally, he said, "I'm trying to help another customer (who wasn't standing there)." I said, "Well then, you could at least acknowledge that I am SPEAKING TO YOU and say, 'I'll be with you in a moment, please." instead of letting me stand here like I'm talking to myself! And NONE of you asked to help me when I walked in here!" He later returned to try to help me but I was done with him, and this store. I got my $1.20 worth of nuts and bolts and will order online, from Tractor Supply, or go to Lowe's next time. Oh, and the young (minority) cashier basically ignored me and handed me the receipt while he chatted with the other cashier. Didn't say "thanks" or "have a good night" or anything. Second time of POOR customer service. So manage your expectations accordingly. read more

If the question was simply on atmosphere, I'd rate it 4; but given their prices A-OK seems too generous. Everything in the store has quite a markup. I'm talking, go in any $3 part, and the markup is sufficient to pay for gas to the homedepot 14 minutes down the road. Soon as you buy a 2nd time, or more, your really starting to save a bundle. In short, it's only a store to go to if your in a hurry and price isn't important. read more

I very much enjoy my shopping experience at this store. However I must admit there is an employee who can be just a tad condescending when he's explaining something to a customer. I had a question and was put on hold for over ten minutes. They never got back with me. My mom said she was in their store five minutes before closing and they turned the lights out on them. She yelled and told the staff that they were still in there but they never turned the lights back on. Poor customer service here. read more

I initially went to check out the selection of plants and palm trees which is very small. Has an adequate selection of products for the location. Everything is a bit more expensive than Lowes and Home Depot. Guess you gotta pay for location convenience.... read more

The cashiers, except for one, are not only a bit rude but arrogant as well. They act like they are doing you a favor by being there. If you try to be polite with common courtesy's such as Hello or How are you today, your ignored. Most recently I said "Thank You" and the response was..."Yeah". Are you kidding me ??? I thank them for spending my money there and I get "Yeah" This review is based on over two years of experience, and it doesn't seem to have changed, in fact it has gotten worse. Maybe the store manager Nevin Rosas needs to alter his selection method for new hires....they're almost all the same....ZERO people skills, maybe some training might be in order, but hey what do I know, I was only the General Manager of a new car franchise for over 25 years with 60 plus employees. I suspect nothing will be done. My coffee cup has a better personality than these people. Today, after already having visited the store earlier, I called to see if they had a particular item in the store that I forgotten about. I was left on hold TWICE more than 5 minutes, called back a THIRD time and was told to leave a number and someone would call me back. A month ago when I left my number, no one ever called back. So contrary to another review here, Home Depot ( a half hour drive for me) is NOT over rated, I can call there and actually get some one on the phone that will and can answer my questions. I've been a loyal Ace Hardware customer for over 25 years, but this particular Ave Hardware can't compare to the one I shopped at before retiring....these employee attitudes would never be tolerated. I just threw my rewards card away and will never step foot in ANY Vision Ace Hardware again. I'll keep a list of what I need and take the half hour ride to Home Depot once a week or buy online, and if it's an emergency situation where I must have something now.....I will go to Home Depot or anywhere but this Ace Hardwar Store. read more

Home Depot is over rated. Support your local business's. Ace is the helpful hardware place. They always have great customer service. There a little pricey but you usually get what you pay for. I enjoy good customer service and a good return policy over pompous decent priced tools every time, if you get where I'm getting at. read more

Does not have the selection of items like a Home Depot but makes up for it in convenience and helpfulness. Some items are priced a bit high but that is always expected at smaller stores. Every employee I encountered at Ace has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A couple of times I have asked an employee a question that they could not answer but they quickly located someone who could. read more

Great store for all the necessities. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff in all areas. Easy in and easy out. May cost a few dollars more but so does the gas to drive to the big boxes. So first you've got to remember this is not a big box store. So plus is you're not spending 2 hours milling around trying to find something with no help.
