Adem at AAC was amazing and I highly recommend him for HVAC services. I had two HVAC units that needed replacement after 25+ years of operation. He performed the job quickly with his helper and left everything clean. Since this was a large job, I reached out to 3 other companies for quotes including some very large names and another family operated business. Adem was the last person I met, was more knowledgeable, and provided a reasonable price. His quote was significantly cheaper than the large, brand name company that operates in the area and in line with the more reasonable operators but provided slightly better equipment. I ultimately chose him after speaking with a neighbor who provided a great recommendation for him as well. The process was smooth, both units inside and out were completed within a day and half with little to no oversight or bother to me (I work from home). After the units were installed he filed inspection paperwork and was in contact with me until that was complete. My first mechanical inspection failed, because of faulty work that was done by a prior technician. Adem had warned me about those potential minor issues before he left as well. Adem immediately returned and fixed those issues at no additional cost. I saved Adem's information and will never waste my time getting other quotes if I ever have an issue with my system at this property or any others in the area. Without confirming me, Adam installed a lower-end furnace. No respect toward a customer. A conditioner doesn't work properly, but the business doesn't answer my e-mails, Additionally, Adam doesn't fulfill his promise about the warranty. It looks like I have to take the matter to Court. read more

My 20-year-old gas furnace was making funny noises right before an exceptionally cold New Year's weekend. I called and Adam arrived 2 hours later, on a Friday night. The furnace had stopped making the noise by then, wouldn't you know, but a pile of metal debris under the heat exchanger led him to wonder if it was rusting and possibly leaking CO further up in the system. He said he could come back after New Year's Day with a camera and sensors to have a closer look at it, and gave me his number to call during the weekend if I had problems. He also recommended I put a CO detector in the basement until he could investigate further, which I did. He arrived the following week right on time, and showed me what he was seeing with the camera and sensors--a cracked pipe and some leaking of CO and natural gas whenever the furnace fired up. There were even two burn marks that could be seen on the outside of the furnace, which I'd never noticed before. He recommended replacing it, but he did not pressure me into the sale, nor did he even charge me for the diagnosis (for either trip to my house). When he left I spent a long time researching everything he said and it all checked out, including the price quote he gave me on a new furnace plus installation. In the end I did have it replaced by this company, with a Lennox high-efficiency furnace, and they did an excellent job, creating custom fittings in several places. Adam himself supervised and worked with two assistants to finish the job in a day, and they left the area around the installation cleaner than when they started. I was especially happy that Adam was immediately responsive to calls and texts. But of course the most important thing is that I now have a safe, high-efficiency functioning furnace, properly installed. I don't write many Yelp reviews, but this company is worth taking the time for. I'd definitely recommend them. read more

Let me start from the beginning. My elderly father (92) contracted with Adem (owner) to install a new heating system in his home last winter. He recommended a heat pump. Poor recommendation: as heat pumps do not operate properly in extreme cold. The are incapable of generating enough heat in cold weather. The verbal estimate he gave me was $5,000.00 dollars +/-. The final invoice was $ 7,900.00 (no 10% senior citizen discount as claimed on his web page). From the outset , the unit NEVER functioned properly. Heat output in the mid 60 degree range. My father had him come back several times to voice his dissatisfaction. Each time he was told everything is working properly. Yet we still experienced the same poor heat output. I hired my NJ heating contractor to come this winter (as the same thing was happening) . The results that my contractor found that (a) the aux heat strips inside the heat exchanger were wired incorrectly into the thermostat. They were wired into the emergency heat port on the thermostat. (b) the second heat strip inside the unit was also wired with a 30 amp wire , not the 40 amp wire required ( potential fire hazard!) The thermostat was also defective. (seems pretty simple to be able to figure that out if you are a heating contractor , don't you think?) After hundreds and hundreds of dollars to "fix" the errors on the initial new installation, the unit is now operational. Further: he was also asked to service the secondary oil fired boiler in the downstairs living area. He charged my father $1,000.00! I had my contractor look it over this spring , before the heating season arrived. I was shown that he unit was NEVER cleaned. Be careful of this guy ! Do yourself a favor and hire someone who is not only reputable, but knows what they are doing. read more
