All I needed was one page notarized, this was quick (no appointment) and Jim was very nice and told me a funny story about the day he went to be sworn in as a notary that gave me a good laugh. There were a lot of people waiting when I walked in, it looked as though they were all there to get a new license and I realized that was the last time I had been in an AAA office (2018). I am a Plus member so there was no charge and thanks again to Jim! read more

Got my RealID sorted out in record time, why even bother going to the RMV? Very pleasant people

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to write this one. Yesterday I went in looking for assistance for my 90 four-year-old dad in terms of a mass. ID try to talk to the guy but the way he was talking was like. I felt like he was a little racist based on not even trying to listen to what I was saying. l. Please be aware when you go there. Fast reliable service. Nice people. I'd recommend this location- much better service and faster service than other.

This review based on my experience guys. It's quite long but in short if you meet Suzanne DeGicco as an insurance agent just ESCAPE! She is typical sales lier. She is selling auto insurance policy and then she doesn't care... Before getting my policy I asked her if I cancel within 3 or 6 months should I pay any cancellation penalty she said NO. Now I was trying to cancel it over 4 days this company is a big JOKE! Finally when I cancelled first they send me final balance 0.59 refund and next day I got another final balance which says I have to pay over $423. I contacted even with the supervisor over the phone of AAA North East explaining the situation that your insurance agent provided me inaccurate information which cause the bill that I am getting of her fault. supervisor who was Jean Wilkinson is another "gem" talking with me ironically and disrespectful. Her response was " you as an adult had to check from another source". Guys I am shocked so it means your agents aren't trustworthy and providing wrong information. I am so disappointed! Worst experience I have ever faced 0 costumer service, inability problem solving! read more

If renewing your license or getting a Real ID come during "off hours". I made the mistake along with everyone else with the same thought to come here on a Friday afternoon. There's a check in area where they examine the documents to ensure you have the proper documentation. They gave me an estimate of 45 minutes to an hour. The total time was a bit over an hour. I overheard that they also had some issues earlier in the day that caused a backup. The poor employees also said that they haven't had a moment to sit except during lunch. While they also offered other travel services and local discounts the majority of the people there were for auxiliary RMV services so we could avoid going to the one in Watertown. Thankfully they have a seating area after you check in to wait and even some charging cords if your phone is running low on juice. The service was fine and understandably they all were spread thin with the influx of people. I can only imagine what the Saturday morning crowd is like. There are other shops in the area so you could check in and potentially just come back here when it's closer to your spot in the line, which is what one of the mother's did while dragging her 2 daughters with her stopping by the next door Dunkin's. This is more of a 3.5/5 but I'm rounding up. read more

Worst experience. The "greeter" at the door had a horrible attitude, and was as unhelpful as possible. They did not give a name or wear a name tag like most greeters. I had a scheduled appointment that they were running late on, so this was going to be my lunch hour today. I brought the documents for a real ID, they wouldn't accept one (even though it is on the list) and wanted a copy of my taxes, and said I should come back when I have it. I let her know I can pull it on my phone, and she said it has to be printed and I should reschedule after I printed it. This person wanted me out the door. They did not want to help. Which is their position. I hope they receive the same level of customer service going forward in their life. AAA, is this how you treat your customers now? That greeter is not a good look for you, and you won't won anyone over with their attitude. read more

Beat waiting at the RMV y'all, quick wait for a license renewal / REAL ID. Bring all the required docs! you'd get your photo taken and the temp license before the actual plastic license arrives in the mail. read more

A+ member. 1 hour and 10 minutes response time in the summertime in a business district. They've never been quick. Now, it's slow and a last resort rather than a first. read more

Mother of 3 stranded by AAA. Beware, anyone who joins AAA thinking that they and their vehicle are covered for roadside assistance is sadly mistaken. I have had a family membership for almost a decade and my married daughter, who was using my wife's car while we were away, was stranded with 3 children under the age of 3 with a flat tire. After elevating to a supervisor I was told that the membership goes only with the member and although my daughter was previously covered now that she was married she no longer was and my wife needed to be present to have someone come and change the tire. She actually had the gaul to suggest that my daughter should sign up so that this problem could be taken care of. They may be good when everything works as planned but one curveball and the whole thing falls apart. read more

I am writing this review solely based on the travel area. My fiancé and I came in a few weeks ago looking for some information on our upcoming honeymoon and sat down with a travel agent, Judy. She was nice, but definitely seemed overwhelmed. She told us she would email us information and packages based on what we discussed and we haven't heard from her since. I was really disappointed since this branch has been helpful with other things before. Unfortunately they lost business and I would not recommend this place to anyone for any travel accommodations. read more

I went in today for a new passport pic (which is funny since I feel like I'm never going to get to fully leave the house; damn Covid) and the people working there were all very friendly and helpful, so big thumbs up on that. The only thing that would've given another star would have been if another employee would have jumped in to help the woman working with me when there was an issue downloading my pic, but to be clear, I do not at all fault her for the issue, just that it would've been great if someone had attempted to help her on my behalf. But they were all super nice and I would be happy to go back here again. Had I realized they were directly next door to a post office I'd have brought my expiring passport, filled out the form AAA gave me for renewal, and then walked it right in to the post office to finish it all up at once. It's awesome that they're next door to each other!!! read more

My son lost his wallet, his drivers license, and his AAA plus membership card. My passport needed to be renewed and I needed passport photos. On July 3rd, I visited the Waltham AAA branch and within 30 minutes I was able to walkout with a temporary AAA card for my son, a receipt for his replacement license, and new passport photos for me. In addition, because my own drivers license was four months away from its renewal date, I was able to renew on the spot. Best thirty minutes in a long time. read more

Went in over lunchtime on a Tuesday and received excellent service and was in/out in 10 minutes. The extremely nice woman at the front desk (apologies for not getting her name) knew exactly what to do, retrieved the correct form, took my pictures to specs and had me on my way with my completed International license in hand. She even offered me some suggestions for my travels and seemed to share some genuine excitement about my trip. Great experience at this Waltham location. read more

Went to Waltham AAA to "beat the rush" getting Real ID. Got there at 9:15. Proceeded to wait three hours (!). Was two people away from actually being serviced when the RMV computers statewide went down. Aargh. I decided I'd invested so much time waiting I might as well give it more time. Computers back up in 15 minutes. I walked out with application completed three and half hours after I arrived. That was the bad news. The good news: Everyone working at AAA was super nice. They handed out bottled waters about two hours into the wait. If I had to be somewhere for such a long time, much rather be there than with the RMV snarling employees. That said, don't think you'll "beat the rush" by getting there right at 9. I think early afternoon a much quieter time. read more

(Wednesday) I've just raised my rating to 4, from my rating = 1 on Monday. Today they had their act together, unlike on Monday. Different person at check-in who seemed much better organized. Also I arrived earlier, at ~9:10am. Check in with five people ahead of me took about 15 minutes. Then there was a ~50 minute wait while the folks ahead got their Real IDs processed, at about 7 minutes each on average. Also unlike on Monday, another AAA assistant occasionally came by the check-in line to ask whether anyone was there for reasons other than getting a Real ID. Several were, and were invited out of the line. The whole process might have gone faster at an RMV office but the AAA Waltham office is closer to home, so all things considered, more convenient. (Monday) I'm a new AAA member and thought I'd try their Real ID registration service. I went to the AAA Waltham office for that purpose at 11:30am yesterday (before lunch hour). There was a line of 5 or so to check in, which at first didn't seem all that bad. But the check-in line didn't move at all. The check-in assistant was busily typing on her terminal for someone, or something, but she wasn't completing whatever she was doing, and she looked exhausted and depressed. There were two others working in the office but apparently unable to help, and neither came by to explain the wait. While I stood there another 10 or so joined the line behind me. Still no progress. There were 10+ folks in chairs beside the line who had already checked in but were waiting for their transactions to be completed. One told me she'd been waiting 30 minutes. While I was there no one actually got what they were there for and left the office. More came to stand in line, no one got to leave. Finally I gave up and left empty handed. I just now tried to call the branch to learn more about usual wait times and about best times to go, and so on, and no one picked up the phone. I'll try again tomorrow and provide update if any change, but as of now it seems that AAA Waltham service has collapsed, for reasons unexplained. read more

I stopped into AAA on Lexington St Waltham at 12:50 on Saturday , they close at 1:00. I was greeted with a smile and "how can I help you today". I asked for some books on traveling to the Caribbean. I went in for an auto insurance quote. Rep had no customer service skills. Was not friendly at all. I told her I. The rack of free catalogs. First time going into triple AAA for something besides paying my membership and it will be my last. read more

My wife and I decided we needed a vacation, but only had a few days to plan it. We visited AAA on Lexington Street and met with Paula Dorfman, travel coordinator. As if by magic, she set us up for a combined air/hotel package in Puerto Rico. Price was great, accommodations were excellent. Paula is exceptionally knowledgeable and we couldn't have taken this great trip without her. She is very responsive and the travel documents package she provided was complete and useful. She and AAA are now our 'official' travel agents. Thank you, Paula ;) read more

Overall, the Waltham AAA office is excellent. The staff is helpful, friendly, and professional. Parking is free and almost always readily available right near the office entrance. On our last visit, my wife and I were purchasing money for a trip to London and Paris: pounds and euros. Jane, who helped us at the counter, was very informative and friendly. She carefully explained the process of buying the money from them, and expedited the actual purchase (better than a bank, because AAA does all the paperwork). The price was right, based on current exchange rates. All in all, our trip to AAA was pleasant and productive. I highly recommend the Waltham AAA office. read more
