I immediately pointed out that the area that WASN'T damaged had paint sticking up and looked like lint in the finish he did, he kept talking about "Depth" and other BS like we are too dumb to understand, "helloooo you screwed up somehow" he left, after it took 3 day's to dry (which he said a few hrs) the finish looked terrible, I called him back, after 3 weeks he returned and he just kept arguing with me about depth and this and that, I said, I accepted this in the area that was damaged, but this area was not damaged and it looks terrible, he just kept repeating himself, finally I just asked him to leave. It was obvious he wasn't going to fix nor take any responsablilty for his work. Maybe at one time he was reputable, but I think all the paint chemicals have gone to his head. Stear clear of this guy and his company. I hate to give a negative review...but now I have to find someone else to fix my dresser. TERRIBLE!!!!!!

We paid $100.00 per chair to repair our dinning room chairs, which only cost us $250 a chair brand new. When he brought the chairs back to us he tried to charge us $100 more than his quote claiming the chairs required more work than he anticipated. When my husband asked him to show us what he did, he said that the repairs were not noticeable by eye. Then when my husband and I sat in the chairs they literally fell apart right in front of him. He then claimed that it was because they really needed a $200 per chair repair job but he was trying to keep our costs low and only did a superficial repair. When we pointed out that when we gave the chairs to them they were only loose and now they were completely apart and we asked for our money back, he claimed that the chairs were already in the process of being completely apart when he got them. When we pointed out that the chairs were now missing about 6 screws per chair he said that the screws were missing when he got them. When we asked him why he did not point those things out to us when he first picked up the chairs, he said it was because he was in a rush to get to his next job. When we told him that we were not going to have him do the work on our dinning room table and buffet that he had come back to do, he tried to take the chairs back saying that he only charged us $100 per chair because he was going to be doing the other work. We had to threaten him with the police before he would leave. There is so much more that this man did and said that was highly unethical, inappropriate and outrageous! On an aside, we then hired a different person to repair the chairs. He only charged us $50. per chair and they are now as good as new! This man is a liar, cheat and bully. STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

Matt at Mr. Sandless Staten Island was extremely generous with his time explaining everything to me and his price was far more reasonable than the other franchise. The crew that came was professional and it really only took a few hours. What I love most is that the process did not remove the character which has developed in the century old wood; rather it cleaned them up and left them shiny and protected.
