My girlfriend came here to get a new license plate since her current plates were corroding. We got there a few minutes before noon and she was seen within a few minutes. The employees were friendly, efficient and seemed to be well informed. One tip for the EV/Hybrid folks is that they have a couple of parking spots with chargers. Unfortunately, you will have to pay for the charging and I rather get the free charging locations (who doesn't?). Overall a good experience at this branch and I'd recommend for any AAA member who are in the area! -ODL

My grandfather bought me an AAA membership when I got my license nearly 25 years ago and has renewed it automatically for me each year as part of my birthday gift. I always thought it was a nice gesture to make sure that I had support if my car ever had problems as I was traveling. Admittedly, I've only used their roadside service three times since being a member, twice for flat tires and once for a dead battery. Other than that, I have used their DMV services twice in the past 10 years - both times to renew my license. While it's a WAY BETTER option than visiting the RI DMV, I'm not sure that I'd invest in an AAA membership if I had to pay for it myself since I don't take advantage of any other perks. The staff in the walk in area of the headquarters are efficient and knowledgeable and wait times are far more reasonable than visiting the RI DMV. Today I visited to get a Real ID. Once you enter, you wait in a short line to make sure that you have the right paperwork and everything that you need for them to help you today. Once they have determined that you have all the correct documentation, you are placed in a queue and wait for someone to call your name. They even provide you with pens and clipboards to fill out the necessary paperwork and comfy chairs to sit in while you wait for someone at the counter to assist you. All in all, I was in and out within an hour and no worse for the wear. They also have a tech charging station in the waiting area, including cables that connect with most current cell phones, which was another helpful extra.

It was a bad blowout

I had a blowout on 295 in Prov RI, I had my dog in the car. I called AAA & requested help, I was quoted 2 hrs (online).. I called back & explained that I was not in a good spot & I had my dog with me & I didn't really feel safe waiting in the car but there was no other choice. The woman I spoke to was very helpful & compassionate about my situation.. not sure what she did but my hero, Sean, was there within an hour of my blowout. He had the tire changed right away & gave me some helpful tips about tires & lug nuts & how far/fast I can drive on a donut. He made sure I got into traffic safely & I was on the road again. AAA is the best, one small payment=peace of mind for a year!! What a concept! Thank you, AAA, once again.

Despite the fact that her lunch break was going to begin she gladly pushed past it to help me renew my license. The world needs more people like Sheilita. She was selfless, kind, professional and even though I briefly met her; I can tell that her personality is one of a kind. Kudos, AAA for finding an employee that's willing to go above and beyond for your customers because THAT- is so very hard to find nowadays. Booked a cruise through the AAA Show a few weeks back. We were told we would be contacted shortly…read moreby a AAA agent to give us our documents and Incentive (luggage). We were not contacted by the agent. Instead we had to go to another location and had the site manager find out who it would be. When we finally got a hold of the agent, she booked our reservation with the wrong last name. Even after emails with the correct name AND the booking slips. After a week, they finally fixed the last name. We made an appointment to go see the agent to collect our documents and "gift". We had to wait for over 30 minutes with no updates from the agent. The same booking directly from the cruise's website is actually $84 cheaper with the same incentives. Talk about a wasted effort. This is why it is better to just do it yourself. We will NEVER book anything through AAA again.
