Worst insurance company ever! My rate was just raising & raising for no reason! I was told to put a cup of water on my dash bored and not spill a drop???? I'm currently with HiRoad and my monthly premium is $213. Had over $85 discounts for good driving and paid $124 my first month for full coverage. Was skeptical before I considered joining, but my research on the company and visit to their office( to know how legit they are) persuaded me to switch. I was referred to this auto insurance company by my sister and friend they had lower prices than at the time than most. I became a member in March leaving my current insurance company even though they were great they went up in price. I guess you get what you pay for and I shouldn't have expected anything different from a barely known insurance company with fair prices advertising their here to help.(but, only if you don't cost them money or have an accident.) I had gotten backed into leaving a scrape on my front car which they did not even have to pay out for because I was not at fault so the other person's car insurance paid. Apparently according to their app it monitors you're driving and according to them I was almost at the lowest payment due to my good driving skills again according to their app. So then a in December I had an accident where when the person in front of me slammed on her breaks in result I also went to hit my breaks and when I braked my car slid on ice and hit the lady's car in front of me. SO I had one accident where my company had to pay out almost at the end of my policy and then a month later I get an email from my insurance company (Hiroads) telling me they are dropping me and not renewing my policy due to the accidents. I, nor have I ever heard any of my friends and family experience an accident and get dropped from a car insurance company. How are they here to help sounds like they are trying to gain customers and drop them as soon as they have to pay out. If that was the case I would have stayed with my old insurance company and paid the extra $20/$30 a month to know I was in good hands and taken care of in case of accidents or emergencies (isn't that what car insurance is for?)I feel that because my first accident I've ever been at fault for in my 31 years of driving was insulted and the company was bias and unfair by doing so. I would also like to add that after joining and becoming a member there were no live people to talk to, even when i initially enrolled (it could ONLY be done online) ask questions or anything only if you had a claim open. Also I have done some research on why insurance company would drop someone and for most if not all the sources this was the answers I got. 1. Says its rare 2. If you don't pay your premiums or payments (mine were always paid in full on- time) and SEVERAL at fault accidents. (I've only had one in my life and it happened to be with Hiroad) The company needs to be held accountable and act like a fair and un-bias insurance company looking to make a quick buck and to do what they are supposed to do and what their customers pay them for to provide a service, not pick and choose based off one accident they had to pay out on. Seems one sided. Also for others considering this insurance company that they know that if they are planning on committing or weary about leaving their insurance company due to a cheaper price that they are aware this is not a long term company and they will sack you if they have to pay out. **** I've attached 3 photos. the 1st 2 state they are dropping me based on my "Evaluation" I'm assuming yearly evaluation which I wasn't even aware of nor what they evaluate?(which leaves me to the 3rd photo which is my driving skills according to their app which shows I've actually been a good, low risk driving which is why the company has giving me the low sliding scale based on my good driving.( So to be clear they are evaluating the fact that a few weeks ago they had to pay out for my minor accident and mind you I have FULL COVERAGE.) read more

This is the worse insurance company I have ever dealt with in my entire life!! on June 23, one of their drives hit my car while it was parked, its now august 24 and the claim has not been processed. They are none responsive no matter the form of communication. based on some reviews they seem to only respond if they are not at fault if I can give 0 stars I would Update:: after posting the review I got a call back and they denied my claim!! Never thought I would be so happy with a car INSURANCE company!!! Not only do you pay according to YOUR driving, but they are also very helpful! A neighbor hit my car while it was parked, although it didn't need to go through my insurance they were very helpful and were there for me. I even received a dunkin card from my local agent, Ryan C. What made me even more excited was when I was looking through Instagram and saw that Hiroad was one of the sponsors at Providence Pride 2018!!!! I couldn't be happier!!!! Thank you very much! Whereas the other companies rate on things you can't control--like how old you are, your past, etc.--with HiRoad you pay based on how you choose to drive. At first it all seemed too good to be true, I even referred a couple of people who will also be canceling. Price was fair, my driving has always been clean, no tickets or accidents. I don't always use the vehicle I have insured which I only use for emergencies only and just have insurance to keep it legal. I reached out to customer service to inquire about the app since it even picks up when I am on a bike or ATV which is my main source or travel since I live in a small rural border town. When I let the rep know the vehicle is parked and I am mainly in Mexico caring for an aunt she then sent my account to be reviewed. Hence I live on a border town that is 2 blocks away from my home and where the car is. The car is not in use in Mexico and plus I have separate insurance for it for when it does cross over. The rep sent me an invasive email asking who owns the home I live in, how often I go to Mexico. This insurance and it's app go too far privacy wise. I immediately called to cancel did not even get a sorry from the reps. I am now shopping around for a plan and as soon as I find one the people I referred will go along with me they also find the app inconvenient. They use company cars all day and the app only allows a few not driving options. read more

They totaled our car over six weeks ago, the car has not even been picked up from the shop yet, but they have still taken 2 months of payments for a car that isn't even on the road.
