Turned out just to be a dead battery but they came out on a Sunday and took care of the problem…read more Good service with a good attitude, would definitely use them again!

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A BUSINESS. I am 50 years old. Hands down - the worst. I…read morecould take you through the month long saga, but let me save us both the time... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I would seriously not trust them to put gasoline into your gas tank. they might try to pour it into your exhaust pipe. and that alone might take a week to accomplish. After I called the police, the lawyer, and finally signed a bumpkinesque version of an NDA (effective tonight at midnight - lol), they allowed me to have my truck towed off of their property and away from the Port-O-Let. They graciously waived a $1,300 storage fee (which magically appeared after I threatened to sue them and after I used some sailor jargon to describe their operation - at this point I had blown my own gasket, personally). They waived the newly discovered $1,300 fee in exchange for me signing the document. The document says that "They are not responsible." You ain't just whistlin' Dixie there, boys. I am inclined to concur. So tonight, half of the engine is in my front seat. I hired them to change out a blown head gasket... A MONTH AGO!! I had the truck towed to an actual mechanic who is familiar with motor vehicles and their parts. they were amazed at the utter ineptitude. bolts without nuts, wires cut, gaskets improperly installed, timing belt not in time (!!!)... I could go on... I have photos, videos and texts. They sold me on a low price. It cost me 2 paychecks and my truck. I cannot sue them. Save yourself!! AVOID!!!

East Coast Towing

East Coast Towing

I am Bill from Elizabeth City, NC and I want to give a "High Five, Thumbs Up and a Great Thanks"…read more to East Coast Towing in Wilmington, NC. The two gentlemen Bryan and Dave that helped me were outstanding in their professionalism, repairing my auto in a timely manner and certainly at an affordable price. My 88 Dodge truck right front brake caliber froze and was smoking when I got it off the road. I am 60 yrs old and never been left on the side of the road before. I am 5 hrs away from home and didn't know who to call for repair. I usually do work like this on my own vehicles and I knew what it would of cost me if I did it myself and what honest garages would charge in my area. I have heard stories of people being taken advantage of by repair shops when caught in this situation. I thought about it and decided to call a Auto parts store and ask them who would be the best to call in my situation. I figured these guys know all the auto shops and who was the best. East Coast Towing was recommended. I was on a major hwy with road construction on a Friday afternoon and 4th of July weekend and it's hot. I'm going to guess they arrived within 15-20 minutes after calling. The driver Dave was great and asked where I wanted to be towed. When I called ECT I was speaking to a fella I did not know at the time and he said he could do the repair or get me to another garage to do the repair. I choose to let them do the repair since they were recommended and could get right to it. I could not ask for a better experience in emergency road repair. Every aspect of the interaction between these two guys from the calling, towing, repair, being social and cost was so much better than ever expected. In fact my bill was a hundred less than I expected. My brakes performed as they should on my 5 hr drive home. There are a lot of places that can do this type of work and do a good job, however, I felt these guys really cared about the traveling public and the hardship of breaking down and being left on the side of the road 5 hrs away from home. Thanks for the great service and next time I'm down that way I will stop in just to hopefully to say "Hi". Bill Hurt Elizabeth City, NC 7/2/2016
