Aaron looked up the serial # and was able to tell me it is 95 years old! I knew it was old but had no idea how old. I wasn't sure it could even be tuned since it probably had not been tuned for at least 50 years. It had been at my parents house and came to my house after they passed. I requested a tuning on my piano. He was here about one hour and charged $200. I am pretty certain…read morethat all 230 strings were not addressed, and mainly the the midrange keys were the only ones tuned. The resulting tuning was not good and the pedals were not adjusted as needed. He was not friendly at all, never introduced himself and left abruptly. He is hard of hearing which of course is no fault of his, but it's probabaly a handicap for a piano tuner. I will be hiring someone else next time.

Jim's assistant Paige promptly reached out and coordinated a schedule to come tune the piano, making the whole process very smooth. Once Jim arrived for the tuning, it took maybe a little more than an hour. He was able to easily take apart and tune the ancient Wurlitzer that sounded like a run down old honky tonk piano and turn it into a terrific sounding instrument. Price was very reasonable for the result, and the entire process was very pleasant. Will use again as soon as the piano needs it.
