Would give minus 5 stars for these clowns. Nasty attitude when they arrived. Slow as turtles (sorry turtles) and literally dropped the boxes with the "fragile" tapes apparently on purpose in front of us and then smirked.......Held up my claim for damages for 4 days (don't tell you they send it to a third party which takes extra days....then the third party takes a couple days to respond) so then it was past the 60 days to file. They destroyed 3 wardrobes ($2700), broke numerous crystal pieces, refused to put together the majority of what they took apart until I refused to sign the paperwork or pay until they did. They also smashed several boxes before they were brought back for delivery and left everything in utter chaos . They told us to buy plastic tubs for any liquids in case of an accidental spill. Then they picked up every such tub and turned them upside down !!!!!! They did accommodate a last minute storage request due to the sellers of the home we were purchasing being some kind of way with the closing but the fees were outrageous. Moving from Sugarland to Katy should not cost several thousand dollars and then several thousand dollars in damages that they won't pay for. There is NO value in this company and they should be shut down. DO NOT USE EVER EVEN IF THEY ARE THEY ONLY ONES AVAILABLE. read more

Not so happy with these movers. We stored our stuff with them for several months in their warehouse which is supposed to be "climate controlled" some furniture was delivered warped. There were also several pieces of furniture damaged which of course we didn't catch until the day after we had the furniture delivered. Several pieces of furniture which required to be reassembled was half-a**, my husband had to buy screws and such to reassemble himself. Sub-par service, find another mover there are too many competitors out there to tolerate this sorry service. read more

We recently moved from an apartment in the Woodlands to a house 15 minutes away. We got quotes from three local movers but Adams Transfer were the only one to come down to our place and give a binding quote. It was a worst case estimate (8 hours) but you pay per hour anyway and their rates are slightly less then the competitors'. They also included an insurance of up-to $30K in the quote free-of-charge so that was nice. On the day three guys showed up on time and started moving stuff. They wrapped big things like couches and tables into blankets and plastic but did not do it for smaller furniture like chairs. They took apart bigger items such as a dining table and a bed with no problem. At the house they put a few blankets and cartons at the entrance to minimize scratching. Our total charge was for 4.5 hours. Overall, the guys were reasonably efficient and did a good job. I would recommend them. read more

Very disappointed in my long distance mover! It's been awful!! The people that they sent to take my items to storage were all Hispanic and didn't speak fluent English, so that was definitely a problem. The gentlemen that picked up my items in TX evidently didn't leave all my personal belongings to be stored for a month, because several boxes and personal items never did get here; even after I reported them missing. I was told one thing by Adams and another thing by CSI-PROS, Adams claim agency! First of all, the movers broke the driveway at the house in Texas a little after 11:00 pm on Friday, June 28, 2019, when they were driving away. (Needless to say, I had already closed on the house in Bastrop.) If I heard the driveway breaking by the front door, I am positive they heard it, but they just kept going, even though I hollered at them to stop, they weren't going to stop. I reported the damage to Adams the following day, June 30, 2019, and they told me I had to make a claim to CSI-PROS. CSI-PROS said I couldn't prove that they broke it! I told them that my neighbor heard it and saw the damage after they left. My realtor and her broker also knew about it and were angry about how irresponsible Adams was. Now I realize that I am missing several tubs and boxes that had my new Christmas lights that were in tubes on a reel; telephone colored insulators, kitchen spatulas, towels, and small appliances; a queen bed frame; several parts of my patio table; they destroyed my clothes steamer; they destroyed my stand that held my TV folding tables, as well as two wall shelves, that weren't even protected, and several other items were damaged! This has all been reported to both Adams and CSI-PROS! I don't understand how they can do this to people and still be in business! By the way, I also got something that wasn't mine and when I finally got to the side wall in my garage, I reported it to Adams and a gal called back and asked for the # on it, which I gave to her; she said they would pick it up the next time they are in the area, but I doubt anything will be done! This item is quit big and I don't want it! It's not mine! I was also disappointed in the driver that brought my items to Nebraska, because he wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible and didn't care that things were missing. I told him that the queen bed frame was missing and he said he didn't have it! I asked if he would report it and he said I would have to file a claim! When I did that on a claim to CSI-PROS, they said it wasn't on the manifest! And I should have checked it before they took the items in TX; I am only one person and I couldn't be everywhere when they wrapped things in blankets! I asked CSI-PROS about all of this and it was my fault! I had never had to move this far by myself, but I do know one thing; I won't ever use Adams again! I suggest if you do use Adams and you are moving you items a long distance, check everything they put on their truck to make sure they have put it on the manifest! Also ask for a clear clean copy of the manifest; I could not read it and didn't get a clean copy until it was too late! Heck, the Hispanic guys that loaded the truck told me to sign the manifest before they had written everything down on it! I signed it only because I thought they were honest! Big mistake! The guy that delivered my belongings to my new home in Nebraska, said I had to sign the manifest and pay before he could even take anything off the truck! Plus an extra $225 to take three items down stairs. I had to get another company in Lincoln to take the rest of my items down stairs and it only cost me $177.65; for 5 big items! This was the most stressful move I will ever make! Next time I will ask friends or anyone who won't charge me the amount I had to pay for this move. read more

July 6, 2022 Adams Moving & Storage Texas picked up our belongings kept then for 19 days before they brought them to us in Marietta, GA. July 13 it was pouring rain and everyone was wet. They dropped our sofa upside down, 42 boxes surrounding the sofa. Mattress and bed frames left unassembled in bedroom. They only gave us one dresser. We had 2. One night table. We had 2. Even our computer was not delivered. Mike, the delivery person said they needed us to sign and they would be back the next day to give us our missing things. They had another stop in Atlanta. Once truck was unloaded they would find our stuff. I signed believing they would return the next day. 2 days later I called Mike on his cell. He said he didn't have our things on the truck. We filed a claim with CSI their insurance company. They denied the claim because we signed the Bill of Lading. We are 78 years old and fill they bully us into signing. I would only give them one star. read more

Adams movers were on time, professional and finished earlier than expected. The final price was less than the initial quote. There was a minor damage in the caning of a chair. Adams came and picked up the chair, got it completely recaned and delivered it back in just a few days. We couldn't have been happier with their service. Another plus was that they gave us all the used boxes and packing paper we wanted for free. Then when we finished unpacking they came and picked it all back up! Exceptional! read more

Adams moved our furniture from Montgomery, TX on April 8th and delivered it to Georgetown, TX on April 9th. They did an outstanding job. Everything was perfect. Colton, Dustin, and Chris were the movers. They could not have been more courteous or professional. read more

If you are looking for a mover, avoid these people like the plague. Locations all over the country - we used the folks out of Houston. Movers arrived late, could not communicate with us, and after being told explicitly that our custom furniture had to be wrapped (they wanted to just shove it on the truck), they failed to protect the top of a custom built headboard, then proceeded to turn it upside down and run the headboard across the truck's floor. Our furniture was delivered on the last promise date, the delivery guys were and hour late, then fought with us because they wanted cash (over $3000 due). They eventually "allowed us" to pay using cashiers checks, and when my wife was trying to verify whether we received all of our goods (listing was illegible, driver could not understand the numbering system used), she was pressured into signing - not happening. After receiving the first check prior to pickup, the office would not pick up the phone or return messages. Even the driver said the woman running the office as a b#$%@. Prior to receiving our first check, everything was super, told repeatedly "have a blessed day" by Anthony. Not one thing they told us was truthful. Worst experience ever. read more

We recently moved from a much crowed 1 story 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms home. We contacted Adams Transfer to come in and pack the entire house and move use. The price was reasonable with the others that we had interviewed in the area however they were more detail oriented. For example we have an LG Washer and Dryer that they stated needed moving screws so the machines were not damaged during moving. No other movers pointed this out to us. Adams Transfer arrived for to our house for packing the day before the move. The materials they used were a very good quality. They arrived at 8am and were done around 3:30pm there was a crew of 3. They arrived the following day to move us. They arrived at 8am and were done loading the house by 1:30. They arrived at the new house around 2:00pm and were done by 5:15pm. They setup the living room, bedrooms and placed boxes were we wanted them. I would highly recommend this company for packing and moving. They have their business processes down and execute the perfectly. read more
