This is one of the best if not the absolute best school in Northern California. My friends and I passed the exam all on our first tries and all got jobs within a month of our testing dates. I started with a different school and after two days I realized it wasn't as advertised and pulled out. Came straight to Easy CDL after reading the Google reviews. It was a night and day difference between the awful first school and Easy CDL. Since then I have had more than 5 friends become truck drivers and they all went through this school. Just as you may be doing now, I did my due diligence & looked over all the positive reviews that former students had. After calling & speaking with Ali, I knew this was the right school for me to attend. Eventually I made the 3 hour drive up there & spoke with him in person regarding the whole process & about his program. After discussing everything & receiving a tour, I signed myself up. As a former student, I can attest that the whole experience & training here are beyond great. From his generous hospitality to his great instructors, Ali provides YOU the student with all the tools needed for you to obtain your license. Sometimes in life we can encounter individuals or business organizations that can care less about providing a great service & only care about taking our money BUT that is far from being the case here. Ali genuinely cares about the student becoming successful in passing & obtaining their license. If you have any questions or need assistance, there is always someone in the office to answer them. Outside there are numerous instructors that fully engage with the students & assist them with the pre-trip, skills or driving as needed. There are also several yards provided so you can practice your skills & pre-trip. Overall, if you want to obtain your commercial license & in the process be properly trained, this is the school you want to enroll yourself in. He provided instruction in a calm, gentle, and straightforward manner--perfect for my daughter, who was extremely anxious. She had NEVER driven before. She didn't even give my teen a chance to get her bearings before suggesting she go onto Greenback Lane. My teen came back a wreck. Her first hour of driving ever and we have had to do a lot of work over the past few months to undo the trauma to get her to even want to go out again. Wendy may be decent in situations where there is prior driving experience, but not for an absolute beginner.

We found Empire instead. They have been great. Really impressed with the level of attention and detail. Pleasant to work with, both on the phone and in the car. The kids have commented on this as well, given that they know what their older sibling went through having had to listen to a chatterbox instructor - just one of several problems with the other company. I have no idea how they compare price-wise - they might be more or less expensive than whatever else you find. They did offer to us what I, as a parent, considered an outstanding opportunity: they gave my kids a couple of hours of a CHP class with an officer. It was a class the CHP offers for young drivers. It was well worth it. They were also extremely accomodating when it came to our busy schedules. And, unlike the other reviewer here, I've had excellent results with them returning my calls. You'll get plenty of time learning about all the needed bits of the inspection and Air brakes along with skills and dont be nervous to ask about anything your there to learn, and they'll gladly help as they did with me. I would strongly advise any of you wanting to drive to take the chance to speak up as there are a-lot of students and only so many hours in the day to actually get a good drive in but those hours are worth it. There was obvious lack of communication between the instructors and the higher ups. Everyone has a different thought process and learn at a different pace although the instructors didn't seem to get that through their head. I felt very small with the constant yelling in your face and in the walkie talkie. They expected students to learn and teach other but that did not work out as most of the students didn't know what they were doing and some were too cocky and was busy playing on their phone. I barely got to drive out in the street and did not get my full refresher before my test as they were down to 1 manual & 1 automatic truck with several new students. The only plus was the hour lunch breaks.

The school has NO classroom on-site (so no classroom hours are possible, as required by DOT). However Kashmir Singh, the owner, allegedly forges these hours on the students records so they can go test for their CDL A license at the DMV. I know this both from my son's peers at school as well as my son's experience himself. They are completely overbooked and understaffed. Their website says you "go from paper to pavement" - yet there is no paper because there is no classroom training. Mr. Singh also sends students out with "instructors" who didn't have their license (Mr. Harry has his license now, but only had a permit three months ago while he was first taking students out on the road for their driving training). There are countless drivers now on the road that have their CDL A license - having been trained by an instructor with no license! I have never seen (nor smelled) anything like that commercial building the school is housed in. It is infested with rats, mice, cockroaches and a plethora of black mold. The walls are, literally, caving in from water damage/black mold. Drive up to the office. You can see Mr Singh's feet through the walls! You could probably put your hand right through the wall. They try to cover up this rat/mouse/cockroach/black mold smell with incense. It doesn't work. The smell is horrendous! The reason the commercial truck building has no classroom is because Mr. Singh houses out-of-state students in all of the rooms in the commercial building. On filthy, black mattresses! Not even any sheets! The kitchen and bathroom are so disgusting and smelly that all of the students spend their time at the school either sitting in their vehicles or sitting at an outdoor picnic table - rain or shine, waiting for their time behind the wheel. The shower looks like something you would see in a Freddy Kruger movie! The bathroom ceiling looks like it's going to cave in any minute. No toilet paper. Only a bidet! My son went out on the highway for some road training with an instructor, Mr. Ballhair, on January 2nd. They came to a railroad crossing with the crossing arms down. After they sat there for about 10 minutes, cars started driving around the arms and going through. The instructor, Mr. Ballhair, gotcha out of the truck and looked both ways down the track. He then got back in the truck and told my son to get out and hold the crossing arms up so he could drive under with the semi. My son refused. Mr. Ballhair tried for another 10 minutes to coerce my son to lift the crossing arms. Finally my son became too uncomfortable with Ballhair's demeanor, got out of the truck and called my husband to tell him what was happening. Then the crossing arms raised up, but Mr.. Ballhair just drove off, leaving my son stranded on the side of the road. When my husband went and picked up my son and took him back to the school, Mr. Ballhair denied he had tried to coerce my son to manually lift the crossing arms. We asked for the dash-cam video (because Mr. Singh said it was a matter of "he said, he said"), only to find out that Mr. Singh doesn't have dash-cams in the trucks. Also against DOT regulations. Mr. Singh is currently being investigated by the BBB, CalOSHA, DOT, Union Pacific, and a handful of other governmental agencies. I can post all of these emails from the varying agencies, should anyone be interested. If you have a child who is considering becoming a semi-truck driver, or if you are trying to decide on a truck driving school for yourself, I would highly suggest you avoid this fraudulent business altogether. The other truck driving schools don't charge you if you don't pass the CDL A test at the DMV. Kashmir Singh charges you $300 every time you fail. This guy is a complete scam-artist! BEWARE!
