This course is exactly what I was looking for! Instructors are always ready to help and provide feedback you need to learn how to ride properly. The course contain theory and practice. I was watching tons of different videos to find out how to ride safely and all the information I found in internet was described by an instructor in a much more detailed way. All the questions were answered and this is wasn't just regular class where you can't wait until it's end. This class was pretty fun with a lot of examples, useful information and techniques. I really like the way how they teach you basics during the class. Then you go to the parking lot. Instructors will teach you how to ride properly. Even if you don't know how to ride a bike at all they will teach you! You will start from getting familiar with the controls and how to use clutch. Next step by step you will learn more advance techniques like cornering, leaning, braking, emergency braking, swerving, etc. As you obviously already understood I'm not a native speaker and my spoken english not pretty good, but even this wasn't a problem for me. I was able to get answers on all my questions and gain riding experience. I came to this course because I knew that it will let me waive DMV practice test but now after completion I know that even if there was no waiver I would attend this class because it was really useful for me. I would never go to this program if this is the one ran under Sierra College community. They berate you if you are a beginner rider then kick you out of classes when other students almost run into you. Then they take your personal information and use it to harass you at home for money. When reported they say that their staff was hacked but they only just found out about it and never offer an apology. What's funny is after i reported it the harassment for money stopped? More like the people who work there are skeezy and low lifes. They can kick you out of the class at will and not give you your money back. Don't go here...they're instructors are not patient and very rude and will say things that won't want you to ever get on a motorcycle again..Even though it says it is for beginners if you are the only one in the class that is a true beginner you will be losing your money they will ask you to leave and reschedule your life to come back and then can even possibly kick you out again if that class has experienced riders. NOT WORTH IT! GO somewhere else! They do not know what they are doing here read more

Patrick, John and all the staff (sorry staff members, am bad at remembering names) from classroom to the field are awesome. Just completed my 2 day training at Sierra college campus today (successfully)! From the class room instructions to the field training, everything is smooth (how you apply your front brakes on a motorcycle, LOL). You might thing 16 hours jeez, what they do and don't it get boring; I'd say heck no! it is very interesting, cheerful, learning experience that every new and/or returning rider should go through. highly recommend! And yes, they hand out cards (that you've completed training successfully) which can (possibly) lower your insurance rates and if your insurance does not accept that, then as Patrick said, time to change your insurance! Horrible, our class got cancelled due to smoke so I been trying to get ahold of the instructors for weeks through email and phone. They say " you need to show up and wait for a spot"... let me waste every weekend why don't i,WAITING.. horrible, they should accommodate us because they cancelled it.300 dollars, very mad. read more

I just complete my two days motorcycle course today. This course is hands on every step of the way. From the class room that (Patrice and Randy) taught to the field instructors (Chris and J.P. ) taught. All the instructors are very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. They encourage you and explain to you what you are need to accomplish to get the exercises correct as well as tell you your doing a great job. By the time time I finished the session I felt more confident and had the Knowledge needed to ride my bike safely. Thank you, Patrice, Randy, Chris and J.P.! I would recommend this class to anyone who just wants to brush up on their skills or who has never been on a motorcycle! read more

If you need to learn the basics and a bit more this is the place. I had a great experience here taking this motorcycle safety course it is well worth it. I suggest the morning class if its going to be a hot day (90s-100s). Our instructors were great (Kim and J.P. on the range and John in the classroom) they helped us out a lot and also gave us some real life experience advice. The first time I took this course I was 17 & still getting into riding. The staff was awesome and very encouraging. Everyone was thrilled that I wanted to learn at a young age. I had to have my mom sign some paper work & come to the classes with me because I was under 18. Im not sure if they still allow that or not. I passed the class, but slacked off and never went to take the actual written test for my licence. I took the course again when I was about 20. The class portion was all together & led by Candice. Then for the actual riding portion; they class was split into two courses running side by side. I had Candice as my instructor for the riding portion as well, and she was AWESOME. I felt like she was able to watch you and really analyzes everything you were doing. She gave great riding tips that I still think about to this day. We had a great time though out the whole class. I'm a women & was in a class of all guys, (except for our instructor Candice obviously) but felt SUPER comfortable. I recommend the class to literally everyone who tells me they are interested in learning how to ride. The safety skills they teach are really important. The other half of the class however, got stuck with a really awful teacher. He was yelling and getting frustrated with the students. Since we were side by side in the lot so we could overhear most of the class. I think everyone form that entire class complained about him & he was gone very soon after. Thank God. A few years after that second class I took- I met the owners & they are amazing people who are really invested in their business. They are always thinking about the student experience from a first timers perspective which I think is what creates such a comforting family-like atmosphere. If you want to learn about safety & how to ride in a very accepting open environment this is definitely the place to do it! read more

I recently went through this motorcycle safety training course, and I loved it. I took the Saturday/Sunday course which allowed me to complete it in one weekend so the days were a bit long but very fun. I was expecting maybe 6 hours of classroom and 2 hours of riding each day; but it's more like 40% classroom and 60% riding. Over the 2 days, you'll be on the motorcycles for upwards of 8-9 hours but it's a lot of fun and the training is great- I left feeling a LOT safer than had I never gone. Highly recommend- all the instructors are awesome. read more

I had zero hours of being on a motorcycle before this training. By the end of it I felt confident to further my training on my own. The instructors are very helpful and attentive to each of the attendees needs to be safe on the ride. Highly recommend for beginners. read more
