I took my 18' Key West to repair a few items after receiving a quote from another shop. My motor…read morewas getting oil in my water separator and I had a broken plastic fuel vent on the side of the hull. Another shop had quoted $1550 for motor tune up and valve. Turns out the issue was a simple check valve that allowed oil to flow back into the water separator. EC changed out the valve, the separator filter and a new fuel filter and installed a new custom flush mounted vent valve.. Cost a fraction of what the first company was quoting, saved well over $1000 and the boat runs like a top now. So happy I went there for a second opinion they know right away what I needed, had my boat back in 48 hours. 0)

However, I later discovered that the work was not performed in accordance with the permits that were submitted. In addition, the installation was incomplete and poorly executed. For example, if your lift is designed to operate with four motors and to allow the vessel to tilt properly so that water in the hull drains toward the stern and is removed by the bilge pump, this company installed only two motors. As a result, the boat does not sit correctly, and water remains trapped in the hull. When I requested the technical drawings and documentation for the work that was paid for, they refused to provide them. This makes the process of bringing the lift into code compliance significantly more difficult and more expensive. To make matters worse, they have denied installing the lift altogether. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this company.
