AAA service has been declining for years. The biggest service is the DMV. Walk in- there are 3 parties waiting in lobby for service. They make you give a name. One person working DMV. Someone leaves, then a person walks in, goes directly to the window. WTH? Later overheard the check-in person offer to "text" them when it gets close. So the 3 parties in line ahead of us was not the true number. It was not right- and how some got on a text list and not others. I'd rather deal with DMV. Thumbs down! read more

Since the DMV no longer does vehicle registration, they told me to go to the AAA office and have it renewed there. From the moment I walked in and the receptionist greeted me until I had my service completed by Raymond. It was a delightful visit exclamation point. read more

Title: "A Monday Morning Rescue with AAA" I had a fantastic experience with AAA on a Monday morning--My 2002 Ford F150 crew cab decided to break down, leaving me in quite the predicament. I needed to have it towed from my home in Hollister to my mechanic in Castroville. If you haven't read my review about that mechanic yet, I highly recommend checking it out! I initiated an online request through the AAA app and received a text confirmation that a tow truck was on its way with an estimated arrival time of an hour. Honestly, I was perfectly fine with that wait time; it gave me a chance to enjoy my morning coffee and get my thoughts in order. But here's where things took a delightful turn: just as I got settled and was about to pour my coffee, I received another text from the tow truck driver. To my surprise, he was just five minutes away! At first, I was a little taken aback. Typically, I'd be annoyed if someone showed up 55 minutes early for an appointment, but this was different; It was a flatbed tow truck, my lifeline to get my beloved old truck to my mechanic in Castroville and its arriving at 8:05 AM on a Monday. The driver was incredible. I wish I could remember the name of the company AAA contracted with, but I unfortunately didn't catch it. What I do remember, though, is his professionalism and kindness. He was patient with me while I hurried around, trying not to delay him in case an emergency came up that required his attention. People like this driver are truly invaluable. They deserve the same respect we give to emergency responders and their vehicles. These professionals choose to make a living by providing assistance to those in need, often dealing with stressed, upset, or even angry individuals. They work in chaotic environments and encounter danger daily, whether it's a driver that nearly clips them while they're securing a vehicle on the roadside or having to precariously pull a vehicle out of water and what about the accident scenes that they have witnessed? Without a doubt that would leave anyone with a case of PTSD. Every day, they face challenges that most of us can hardly imagine, yet they continue to show up to help others. So, to my incredible tow truck driver, thank you! You really made a tough situation so much easier, and I genuinely appreciate your hard work. read more

I had been working with the dmv in hollister and gilroy going back and forth with a difficult title issue and this office was able to solve it within two visits. Everytime I have came to the Hollister branch whether it be for insurance, travel or DMV I was always taken care of. I was unable to be insured through them for homeowners insurance, but that didn't stop her from helping me. She had gone above and beyond to help me get insured. The travel agent has also gone above and beyond to find me the best deals for our family vacations. Big shout out to this branch for having great customer service and care for those who walk through their door! read more

Dmv closes at 1730 Doesn't say that anywhere online or even on the door. But the counter folk will tell you as they walk you out the door. One of the only reasons to keep a AAA membership is the dmv crap and now that's even pissed right off too. Ugh read more

First I want to say that having the option to take care of my DMV needs at AAA is a nice option. I usually never have a problem or a reason to complain. However yesterday was the exception. When I arrived I was greeted by a man who took my name and advised me there were others ahead of me. No problem at this point. A few minutes later a lady came in for DMV as well. 2 ladies came from the back and started chit chatting about kids and how one them didn't like Panda Express and so forth. My complaint is, why didn't they help those of us waiting if they had so much time on their hands? It would have made our visit quicker and my review would probably be 5 stars. read more

BEST Customer Service in town, over and over and over! The office is always clean and kept at a nice temperature, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and never impatient or uninterested. Don't believe the false advertising about an easier way to get DMV stuff done here. They couldn't even help me get my registration card and tags despite the fact I had already paid my fees and passed smog. A complete waste of time. read more

Used AAA Roadside Assistance and they were quick and great to work with in an emergency. I had a tow truck get to my location in 5 minutes, and they were able to make my car drive-able to get home. I did not have to get towed, so I could take the time to find the right auto repair place. I do not have them as my auto insurance due to pricing, but I do recommend everyone become a Gold Member for Roadside Assistance. read more

Went in with a family member as I was just added under their insurance so we could get more clarification on how much the insurance went up. The older bilingual lady who works there seemed annoyed that we needed help with that and would smirk under her mask whenever my aunt didn't understand something. So rude, obviously we are not insurance agents and you should have ZERO problems explaining to your customers especially when it's their money & they want to know how much they're paying. Seemed like she just wanted to get us out of there, very rude & dismissive. read more

They tell you one thing on the phone and when you arrive at the local store they don't help they do the total opposite from when you spoke to them on the phone very bad service extremely bad and they are supposed to be helping you make your life easier not here! read more

I have been an AAA member for over 20 years and I buy my kids AAA also. The staff are friendly and I can get most of my DMV stuff handled without the long lines. read more
