Been coming here with my 2004 Chevy Tahoe and they do a great job. Radiator change, fluids, inspections, power steering replacement, brakes have all been done here, instead of going to the Chevrolet house in Richardson! (Don't go there!). I went to another auto place which is called Major auto in Plano. They told me that I needed a new engine and that I had pitted cylinders, found spark plugs and a blown head gasket. Triple AAA discount tire and auto however, was recommended to me by a friend and they determined I needed a new fan, diagnosed the vehicle and replaced a small gasket not the head gasket I got a very reasonably priced synthetic oil change, and my car is running with no issues. If you want trustworthy, honest , reasonably priced and friendly service this is the place to go. They will be busy because they thrive on their repeat business! read more

The shadiest of dealings go on here. I took my car there and they were supposed to have fixed the brakes and rotors. I followed it up with a trip to Firestone, who verified that they had not done anything. I went back to AAA and the little Middle Eastern guy there got bent out of shape and would not check on the brakes, as if I had insulted him. Bad business! Sometimes, you need to go ahead and pay the big bucks for what you need to get done, especially your car. Back to Firestone I go. read more

I went there for an inspection, and the printout clearly showed $18.50. However, they told me it was $20.00. I confronted them, pointing out the discrepancy. The same thing happened when I took my wife there for an inspection. Three guys aggressively approached me, so I got in my car and drove off. DO NOT GO! I took my Jeep to have two tires replaced here. My jeep has custom rims. They heavily scratched two rims on their machine. I spoke to the owner, Hawar Ramazan, about the issue and he first vehemently denied that his team did the damage. After acknowledging that I had pictures of my vehicle prior to the damage, he admitted his machines likely caused the damage but said, "I'm still not doing anything about it or paying for it." read more

Good mechanics, you just have to understand how they communicate and operate and be patient! They are honest with their pricing.

This takes great care of senior citizens. Honest and reliable. Their prices are reasonable. They only fix what they know to fix.

I took my car here last year because it wasn't blowing cold air. They told me I needed a new AC compressor. I purchased one, brought it in and they installed it. Blew cold air for about 3 months (strange particles were also coming out of the vent when it was on high). Took the car back and complained that the cold air was intermittent. They added freon instead of getting to the root cause. Came back after the freon ran out a short while later and they said it needed an o-ring. He charged me for an o-ring and more freon $100+. Problem still was unresolved. I came back to find out why I still don't have cold air and he said it could be anything. Okay, well you first told me it was the compressor and I paid $300+ for that. You then tell me it was an o-ring and freon and I paid another $100+ for that and now you're saying you don't really know the issue???? I had the owner hand write me a 90 service warranty because I refused to pay another dime. I came back 80 days later and he wouldn't honor the warranty in his own hand writing. He then offered me a discount if I purchased ANOTHER compressor and had him install it. But being as how you haven't identified the issue and you've already unsuccessfully diagnosed my problem multiple times, why then would I allow you to do it again. This place is very far from my house, but I went there off of one recommendation opposed to Yelp/Google reviews which sucked at the time. Needless to say I was out over $500 with parts and labor and STILL my AC isn't working. I just took it today to another mechanic to redo correctly all of the wrong that was done incorrectly. I do NOT recommend this place. I feel like I've been stolen from and lied to and dismissed as a customer. read more

I have used these guys for 15 years. The owner charged only half of what these other places charge. This has been my experience with 4 of our cars he's worked on. He does not like working on Volkswagen hybrids but he still diagnosed my daughters car and was able to give us info on best places to go. read more

It might not be up to normal people standards in cleanliness; but for their honesty, their prices, and their hard work, they are the best car place I have ever been to. I was here for state inspection, it was quick but they were very rude and had a very bad attitude.

Don't let the exterior of this place influence your opinion. This place has been doing tire and mechanical work on my vehicle for a number of years. No matter what the problem, they work very hard to resolve the issue. I have always felt they are very fair in pricing and practice. I have total trust of the workmanship that I have received from this location. In one particular instance, I had a front shock blow on my truck. It was discovered that it would need to be replaced but had been purchased and installed by a different company. AAA called the original location and discovered that the shock was under warranty. They then repaired my truck and took care of recovering the warranty replacement without charging me for the replacement parts. I appreciate the convenience and service that they extended. On another occasion, I called AAA because my passenger window motor stopped working on my way home from work. The manager took my vehicle information and had a part/motor waiting for me by the time I drove from McKinney to their shop in Plano. Even though it was already past 5, they stayed open and finished the work on my vehicle. Additionally, I have purchased 3 sets of tires here and though they use an "off-brand," I have had great results. I would not only recommend the service at this location but also the tires. It is sometimes difficult to feel that you are treated fairly when it comes to automotive repairs. I have always felt that AAA is fair and honest, sometimes going above and beyond my expectations to win my business. read more

I took my truck here for a 35 dollars oil change. He did so quick that I suspect he did not change the oil filter. When I asked, he said he changed the filter. When I got home and took a look under the truck, the old filter from my last oil change at Toyota dealer is still there. What a ripoff. read more

They are ok until they cannot fix something and the owner becomes defensive. Took car for break repairs 4 times already and they could not fix the issue. The owner (or one of them) became defensive when I told him that the issue is not fixed and I would need to take it back to Nissan or somewhere else to fix it and he should refund the charges. Unfortunately will have to go the legal way to resolve this issue. read more

I went back immediately & the boss did not even acknowledge my presence. He did not bother to check my car. And he stated, "we don't open the hood when we do inspection " am like really? I first heard about this place from a friend. I was having a problem with my air conditioning and shopped around at other shops in Rowlett and Garland. Range of quotes $1200-$2000 to fix, naturally. My friend told me to take my car here and have them give me a quote. Needless to say, very good price. About $600 cheaper than my lowest quote, parts and labor. I was satisfied with the work and price. They are a good group of guys; friendly, and do good work at fair prices. Never had a bad experience here. Big brand name dealers gave me an estimate for work for $650 and these guys were able to do for $175. These guys are good but unlike other places don't spend too much time to investigate the problem. They ask what the problem is and will give you solution. I felt that they have been right almost all the time. I would recommend these guys for sure. I have never been disappointed. read more

I discovered AAA Discount several years ago when a took a job near there shop. They have fixed many of my cars at a fraction of what the dealer wanted to do the same service. In addition to tire service they have fixed a fuel pump, thermostat, O2 sensors, vacuum leak, and AC on various cars. As others have noted, the waiting area isn't fancy but they provide good service at a fair price. I highly recommend them. read more

Earlier today, I stopped by this establishment to inquire about an oil change and state inspection. Upon entering the 12x12 lobby area, there were 7-8 men sitting around with music playing and eating lunch. Not one of them looked at me, greeted me, or asked how I may need assistance. After standing in awkward silence for a moment or two, I left to walk out, but before leaving asked of any one of them actually worked at the shop. Finally one of the men looked up and said yes, but they were currently eating lunch and to give them 15 minutes. I have no problem with waiting, but I do have an issue with the rude behavior and unprofessionalism of the men at this auto shop. I firmly believe in supporting local small businesses, but this is one that I will certainly not support in the future and will not recommend to others. read more

AAA has been servicing my vehicle since the warranty expired years ago. Their prices are markedly lower than other service shops and they work remarkably quickly, so much so I have wondered at times if they did anything at all. Shortly after the last time they changed the oil, a squealing noise would occur upon start up each morning. I returned the car to AAA to investigate the noise. They thought it might be the belt, so I paid them $140 cash to replace it. I had to pay cash because their internet was out (One of the co-owners was shouting at their service provider over the phone about it.), so the credit card machine wasn't working. Unfortunately, the squealing noise continued. I returned the car to AAA. Their mechanic looked at the power steering fluid and said it did not have the right color and consistency, as if the wrong fluid had been used. He flushed the power steering mechanism at least twice. He continued to work on the car until it became apparent the power steering was completely failing. I asked one of the owners (the yeller) for another mechanic, but was refused. It was apparent they were still just guessing at what was wrong and I couldn't afford to keep paying for unnecessary repairs while my car's condition continued to deteriorate, so I left with my car. Two reputable mechanics agreed the power steering pump and rack and pinion steering needed replacing. They also concurred the damage was not a result of normal wear and tear. The mechanic who did the work said the damage had been caused when the wrong fluid had been added to the power steering reservoir, something AAA's own mechanic observed. AAA refuses to take responsibility. Their cut rate oil change cost me $1,510. read more
