Great job! Needed a crane to move a hot tub out of my backyard as it heads away to its new home in Louisiana. The rigger and crane operator who showed up did an amazing job. They showed up on time, were polite and courteous, and were technically proficient. They took the time to place small wooden pallets on the sidewalk so as not to cause any damage to the concrete. Very impressed with these two and their company. Will do business with them again in the future and highly recommend; 5-stars. Also, keep in mind if you hire them for the 40-ton crane there is a 2-hour minimum charge for them to come out for a job. They did this job in about 30 minutes but did such a great job had no problem paying the $400 bill for this service. read more

This company has you sign a waiver so they can come onto your property and, knowingly, damage it. NEVER trust AAA or Summit (parent company) Crane. Their worker came solo to do a job that really required 2 people since it was to lift a swim spa over my house. Before the swim spa was even off-loaded, driver had shattered the concrete on my neighbor's and my driveway during set-up. I ended up in court with them but to no avail...the "temporary judge" didn't read the case in advance. I learned never to sue anyone because they don't have to pay anyway... you have to put a lien on anyone who choses not to pay. Lesson learned. NEVER use Summit or AAA Crane service. The $1900.00 damage done is on me and the owner's don't give a flying flip! read more

We needed a crane to lift a mature olive tree over our house and AAA crane was recommended by the tree farm. We found Geoff to be very responsive: he came to visit the site to double check measurements, and provided all the documents we needed to apply for the encroachment permit. Day-of couldn't have gone more smoothly. Crane arrived a bit early and set up efficiently, deftly avoiding the several nearby street trees. Our tree was gently finessed into place and there was flawless communication between the crane operator and the person directing movement. The city inspector was pleased with the arrangements and the care taken to protect the road surface. We've never done anything like this before and were apprehensive, thinking about all the possible ways things could go wrong. But clearly we were in the hands of friendly and competent professionals and they made the whole operation look easy. Thank you!! read more

I ordered a crane for a 300 pound sign. I did not say what size crane I needed, just that I needed a crane for Saturday. They showed up, did the work. I have used this company 100+ times in the past. They always charge me about $180 for a 1 up and 1 down service for our HVAC installation business. This time, they charged me $450! They said the truck was a 40 Ton truck. I did not order a 40 Ton truck. Don't know what a 40 Ton truck is. Yes, the truck was huge and overkill. I tried to talk to this company about getting a discount, and they refused. Where to begin is the question at hand.... This morning at 5:45am I was shook out of my bed by a crane setting up and a beeping noise so loud my dog defecated on the bed. What was going on you ask???? A delivery of A/C units to the building next door... now I think there is a city noise ordinance about performing such activities before 7am... so I called the office and left a very strongly worded voicemail. Yes I swore and used foul language but I didnt threaten bodily hard to any employee I was tired, cranky and irritated that the crew blew me off and told me to call the company... well I did get a call back. I recorded voicemail from a man who identified himself as Gary. Gary you threatened me with bodily harm, not cool at all. Such a touch guy from your desk I can tell. I'll be contacting the Better Biz bureau and my attorney. Hope you have a great weekend. To follow up.... harassment charges have been filed with the city. Gary I strongly urge you to stop with the phone calls. Next step protection order and potential criminal charges. Under no circumstance should a member of the community be verbally harassed by a biz owner... I have to ask myself who would anyone do any biz with someone who reduces themselves to prank phone calls. read more

This business was completely professional all the way. The dispatcher who initially answered the phone took all my information and asked questions about the job, and referred me to one of their estimators when I asked questions she didn't have the answers to. The estimator answered the phone immediately and had the information I needed. They called to confirm two days before the job date. My job was a bit complex including a pickup and transportation of a large outdoor kitchen from one location to another and then a crane lift into my backyard at the second location. Everyone showed up where and when they were supposed to and did their jobs quickly and safely. The kitchen was safely on the ground where it needed to be within 90 minutes of the crane's arrival. Called three crane companies to get quotes to move my 40' container onto some piers I built. Steve, the estimator came out within a day and quoted me a good price. Crane company #2 was double AAA. The 3rd. one didn't return my call. They always communicated well. They called the morning of the lift and told me another job finished early and did I want them earlier...hell ya. They showed up and were back on the road in 2 hours. Nice driver. Fun to BS with and a good experience was had by all. I have read a few other negative reviews and I though they were being a little unreasonable. To each their own. read more

This company has been giving us the run around for 4 days now! On Monday night, coming down the 80 Eastbound, a piece of sheet metal flew out of the back of one of their AAA Recycling trucks (owned and operated by AAA Crane) and hit our car. It was coming straight for our windshield but luckily I was able to swerve and it hit the passenger rear quarter panel. I tried to get the driver of the truck to pull over but he ignored me. I called 911/CHP and reported the incident. CHP instructed us to pull over at the next off ramp so a CHP officer can take a report. While waiting for the CHP, the driver of the truck swung back around and asked us what happened. I said I told you a piece of metal flew out of your truck and hit our car. The driver then laughed and said, "Good luck! Better take pics!" and then fled the scene. After the CHP officer made the report, we called our insurance company who told us to contact AAA Recycling/Crane and to let them know what happened. Today is day four. We have been getting nothing but the run around from this company. We have made multiple calls each day, to the office and directly to Danny (owner's son/brother?). Today we are finally told to speak to Gary (owner) but he is on vacation for another 5 days. I don't know why they couldn't just tell us this to begin with. Danny saw the pics of the damage and chuckled saying the damage wasn't that severe - which means he did acknowledge there was damage. Not severe??? Fixing the scrape and dings on our Audi Q7 is not going to be cheap. I am extremely upset with how this company has been handling this issue. If I didn't have time to swerve out to the way, who knows what could have happened! It could have gone through the windshield and hit my family! This has now been turned over completely to the insurance company. I was hoping to have this handled as quickly as possible. read more

I had all my deliveries scheduled and after waiting two weeks for this crane company to have availability, I had to cancel and reschedule all my deliveries AGAIN. Why? Have to say I'm surprised I'm the first review, or maybe everyone forgets the crane guys? Anyways I do specialty work for other management companies including work on homes. One call I received was about a 65' oak tree across a neighbors roof. Deemed the safest for relieving pressure on the house truss, I called several crane companies. AAA ended up being the company available when I needed the hoist. The operator quickly and professionally snatched the limbs in perfect coordination with my arborist. However the insurance company required the second dead tree in the back be removed as well. It was 120' from driveway and 4' base. The owner had heard we were going to have to take small pieces with the 50 ton crane and "stopped by" with a 100+ ton capable rig. He quickly assessed the operation and set up the lift. After booming my arborist into position for safety and making several small removals, the two professionals gained confidence in each others skill and the remainder of the extremely hazardous tree was in the front yard in about 30 mins! After my experience with this company then meeting the friendly owner, I will only be calling AAA crane for all my lifting needs. Professional, on time, highly experienced, and #1 above all... Safe!
