I went from never touching a crane, having no knowledge of any heavy equipment operating... shivering and shaking in the cab... so much that the crane wasn't even on yet and I made the weight start swaying...To being certified for swing and fixed cab. (Of course with training)
Get the beginner package. It's worth every dollar. I was a total beginner and I totally needed the training. It's more cost efficient in the long run, I assure you. Even if you're familiar with running big equipment, I would at least purchase a few hours on the crane. You'll see.
I highly recommend this school. Of course the curriculum and knowledge for all this NCCCO is standardized and therefore it's relatively the same... but it's the other supporting stuff that matters: the people, the environment, and their method.

At the end of the day, do yourself a favor, if this is the path you want to pursue, choose these guys. Initiate your swing with these guys and you'll catch some certifications! I made the 2 hour trek one way for each day (three days) and had an awesome time. read more
