Came in today to do passport pix, & Bryon assisted. He was okay, he upell my hubby on getting AA membership. He got it. I asked him questions about it he was stuck, mine up i used to work in car industry. So he should had explained if I break down & I call AA will they come out for me. I was testing his knowledge. Hubby lost wallet today and we walked in to get an interim license and also to return license plates. The staff was very pleasant. We explained he drives for work and is was necessary to have the interim license immediately. The staff was very understanding and cordial. The representative explained we would need to wait for the appointments to be assisted first. Fortunately, we were in and out in less than 30 minutes with all transactions completed. The space is very clean and streamlined. Management must be very nice because all the staff we saw looked happy and approachable. The representative who assisted us was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. He was very compassionate when hubby explained he lost his wallet. We've been AAA members for many years and this membership pays for itself. Tons of perks. Excellent service with compassion and a smile! I love this location!!!! read more

This location was so convenient! I needed renew my license quickly as it was expiring in 2days. The staff was so helpful letting me know what I needed to bring and what time I needed to arrive being that I did not have an appointment. Everyone was courteous and professional, and because of their advice I was the first in line. The whole process was so quick as opposed to my usual experience at the DMV. The three stars is an average. The technician was amazing, but if I was only talking about the dispatch service, they would get 0 stars. I first want to commend Tymel E. (Y1015) for his amazing service. If I could give him 5,000 stars, I would. My car stopped late in the evening on 4/6/2024 and I needed to be towed. After the AAA dispatch putting in my address wrong (twice) even though I clarified, this ended in a AAA technician being sent to the wrong location and letting me know that he had to cancel the service because I wasn't close enough. This was after an hour and a half of waiting and another 20 minutes being on hold to try again and get help. The third dispatch person that I spoke to was finally able to listen to the address and zipcode that I was giving and dispatched Tymel to my location. The moment the tow was set up, Tymel gave me a courtesy call to let me know that he was on his way and gave me an estimated time of arrival. He went above and beyond as he did not have to do this, but after feeling as though I was alone and the previous people that I dealt with seemed uninterested in helping me, it was a breath of fresh air. Tymel came to tow my car, answered my questions, was kind and even went out of his way to find a place to drop my car off on the street of the mechanic that I usually use after a safe parking spot could not be located at my residence. Tymel is truly an asset to AAA and I am so blessed that he was my technician. While AAA needs to do some serious training to ensure that the dispatchers are better communicators and take in correct information when it is clearly stated, I can only sing Tymel's praises. What started off as a bad interaction with AAA turned around due to Tymel's kindness and thoughtfulness. Make sure you take care of your good ones like Tymel, they are valuable! read more

Have been a member since 1970s -- have never seen such terrible road service. I had a flat, was told at 6:20 pm , I would get a call Between 7:15 and 8:15 as to when they would arrive. By 8:45 there was no call-- I called them again, 3 times --at each I was told they would call me back, never happened. I had to leave my car and Uber home. Still waiting for their call. I came to this branch nearly five years ago to arrange for a trip to visit my cancer-stricken brother in Florida. The person who helped me was very efficient and thorough and thoughtful. Her name was Roceter Payton and I had a great trip thanks to her and I always meant to give her the much deserved praise for her efforts. That being said when I realized that I could have my driver's license renewed by returning to AAA NORTHEAST I decided to do just that. I am so glad to report that the same efficient and thorough and thoughtful service I got five years ago is still the standard in practice. read more

I have been with AAA since 1995. That is 27 years. I used them TWICE in all those years. So, my renewal just arrived in the mail, I have Triple A+ They have three plans, AAA AAA+ AAA Premium So, I asked them what the extra benefits of AAA Premium were compared to AAA+ I made FIVE, yes FIVE CALLS to them today, First person knew nothing, Second person was the rudest person I ever spoke with at ANY company Third person's phone was SO Low I couldn't hear a word she was saying so I called back, FOUTH person was interrupting me CONSTANTLY and ASSUMING what I wanted to ask. He was VERY impatient, When I asked him to be more patient and to please stop interrupting me he asked me if I would like to cancel my membership, I then called back got a different buy who was absolutely brain dead and was telling me things that made NO sense at ALL. Even WORSE, he wouldn't admit he was wrong even when I read it to him right from the AAA website, THEN, I asked for a supervisor and he clicked over to some music, I put my phone on speaker phone, put it down and waited FORTY MINUTES so I hung up, The people at AAA are NOT trained. They know NOTHING, After 27 years, I am at this moment looking at different companies who offer the same thing that AAA offers. I used this company for roadside service for only THREE times in 27 years, I am an auto enthusiast and do my own repairs and upkeep etc, so I rarely need any mechanics, SO, I got stuck on the Bowery in Manhattan un my Audi TT. I called AAA. It took SIX hours. I am NOT exaggerating. SIX HOURS for the guy to get there .It was 2AM so there was NO traffic, When the guy showed up, I asked him what happened, He was a VERY nice guy and he told me that none of the drivers on that shift were available in NYC so they called HIM in Long Island and woke him up. He said it happens all the time but he didn't mind because they pay him extra since NYC isn't his route, TRUST ME. The customer service SUCKS. The service SUCKS, Only reason it took me this long to dump them is because I RARELY deal with them. Like 3 times in 27 years. After TODAY, I'm DONE, Now the search is on for a roadside service plan with another company, DO NOT USE AAA and if you do, don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I made an appointment to take care of some DMV items (it's so convenient to not have to go to the DMV) and had such a pleasant experience! I was greeted with all-around smiles from Tania, Josephine, and Rosita. First, I made sure to arrive with what I thought were all of the necessary documents and forms, printed and filled out. It turns out I was missing a document and instead of being frustrated with me, Tania let me email it over so she could print it. Next, I had to have my picture taken for my new license and I am easily one of the least photogenic people on earth and hate having my photo taken but Josephine was so patient with me and kept re-taking the photo, even making me laugh so it didn't come out like a mugshot! Rosita explained the whole process of what had to be done and then did my passport photos (and was just as patient with my non-photogenic self). Everything took about an hour and a half, and although they didn't need to, they kept apologizing for the wait! Throughout that hour and a half, I (and everyone else who came in) was treated with kindness and above-par customer service. Anything beats going to the DMV, but this was way better than expected! our second trip to this location in a week to get the NY state enhanced driver's license for my wife. Do yourself a favor and go to DMV. I did mine at DMV in 25 minute. they have no idea what they are doing. Our second time here for an hour and a half, and they can't get it done. today is july 25th 2022 , my husband , sister and i had appointments for 9:30 , 9:45 , and 10:00 at the aaa on ralph ave in brooklyn for our enhanced driver's license . i must say the staff were very efficient , courteous , and we were in and out in record time . trevor was so patient and informative . garfield was the photographer he was great , he make sure i had the perfect picture , he gave me napkins to wipe the shine off my face so that the glare was not there , he took 3 shots and make sure i was satisfied . he was so so courteous and patient . i recommend anyone to visit this branch . im a satisfied customer , thanks garfield and trevor . read more

My battery died by accident at the most inopportune time imaginable. At the end of this Caribbean Day/Labor Day Parade Celebration. Eventhough I wasn't in attendance I had to park my car in my neighborhood which happens to be blocks away from the Festivities. Anyways AAA had a hard time reaching me and wanted to give up trying due to police roadblocks. I still found that to be inexcusable seeing as though I had no way to charge this battery up to move my car. I felt like why am I paying for a member ship I barely use and when I need them the most they wanted to give up trying to reach me!? I still am contemplating cancelling this service. Outcome was the truck got to me a little over an hour because I persisted and insisted.Phone operator did little to comfort or assure me I would be taken care of. read more

In the middle of a pandemic when brands, companies and institutions are bending over backwards to do the right thing and help people, the AAA proved they are more concerned with sticking to their rules and finding reasons to deny service. My mother is 80 years old and relies on her 30 year old car which was having trouble. At great risk to her health, I agreed to take her car to be serviced while she waited in safety at home. The car stalled out halfway there and AAA refused to send a tow truck unless this 80 year old woman was present with the vehicle. Her son being there to manage this situation on her behalf with her consent on the phone was not good enough for the sticklers. Go straight to hell AAA for preferring to endanger an old woman in a crisis and especially the woman on the phone who had the nerve to condescend to me after refusing to help and saying "is there anything else I can help you with today?" You didn't help me in the first place, idiot. read more
