Bus canceled hours after reservation was made. No offer of a refund is ever broached. Only rescheduling to a less convenient date. Later that week, I somehow got an email reminder for my original trip, which is beyond aggravating. Sometimes they text or call right before departure, sometimes they don't. This company seems to be flying by the seat of its pants and provides little confidence. USB outlets are inconveniently located overhead, which means they disconnect with the slightest bump. Movies shown aboard are expectedly hit and miss, but mostly the latter as they are usually cultural artifacts at least thirty years old. And the price rose 10% this month. read more

I had a wonderful experience dealing with the staff here at SGS. I wanted to travel to Six Flags this summer, but didn't want to have to deal with the long drive from Brooklyn, but due to Covid, I didn't know a company still traveling to out there. One day, I see an advertisement for SGS on Facebook--$85 pp for the park entry and bus ride from Downtown Brooklyn to the park--I immediately jumped at it. I purchased the tickets online, the following day, I received a phone call with them requesting the names for the reservation. I had several questions and reached out to them on a few occasions, they were all extremely helpful. I then needed to purchase five other tickets and get information for the parking pass for my relatives, they also assisted with that. The bus itself was clean, the staff onboard were friendly and cordial. They had outlet, a movie playing and the ride was enjoyable. They were very clear and concise when describing where to be time, when to be there, the departure, etc.. the itinerary as very easy to follow. They also provided several text messages describing where they were and just making sure everyone was in the loop. My sole issue would be they have a lot of time on the way back home to a few late-comers on the bus, which can be frustrating, due to all the kids on the bus, it being very late, and people desperately wanting to get back home. Overall, I had a great time dealing with this company and SGS exceeded my expectations. read more

Had a great ride / customer service Friday 11/18/22. I had originally made reservations for pickup at 16th Street but at last minute had to change location to 81st street Bayridge. Had no problems and the ride was excellent. For those like me who would use MTA to NYC and then Port Authority this experience was like night and day. Smooth ride / clean bus / clean passengers ! Had a great time on an SGS bus to Atlantic City last week. Had to watch two PG-13 movies that were not that great, but not to bad either. Witnessed two women argue over their seats but that, however seemed to be quickly resolved. Overall a friendly group of people with a professional, no nonsense driver. I purchased tickets round trip for Atlantic city, was told by the guy who sold me the tickets that it would be good for a return trip for 4 days. I think "oh great" that sounds wonderful, until the return day when I was boarding the bus. The driver tells me that the return trip ticket was for one day only and charged me an extra 35 to get back. I call sgs travel scope and was told that it was only good for one day. The guy who sold me the tickets told me it was good for 4 days. It's back and forth. I am not dealing with this bus company anymore. Never again. read more

Worst experience of my life. This business is the biggest scam attempting to take your money. The service was terrible and the workers simply do not care for you. I originally bought a ticket to AC and was told it would be $35 for a round trip. What they don't tell you is that you only receive the return trip if you go back the same day!! Was down on money and was basically forced to pay another $35 to return home the next day. $70 round trip on an unimpressive archaic bus that still plays a loud dvd movie in the front. Seats were old and definitely not comfortable. Also had to deal with the funky smell the whole ride back. The ride there and back was a complete headache. WILL NEVER RIDE WITH THEM AGAIN. I will never use this company again. I planned a trip with my elderly/handicap grandmother and was shocked at how they treat their customers. I had asked for a handicap seat for my grandmother because she has a hard time walking and was stunned by the response from one of the workers. She was an older woman who pretty much made fun of me for asking, as well as saying there are no reserved seats on this bus. As we board the bus, we see names on seats. So people can reserve seats? I don't understand why this worker told us we can't reserve. I had a great weekend with my grandmother until the ride home. All seats were taken because people go for the day. Like I said above, my grandmother can barely walk and people watched her as she slowly walked her way down the aisle to find a seat.. IN THE BACK. No one cared. We sat down and soon to hear that if you stay overnight, you do have reserved seats. I was shocked since I was originally told we couldn't and I didn't see my name. The bus driver took our bags and could of said, look for your name, since we were misinformed. As I am leaving the bus to get off at my stop, I see my name on two seats. People did not care and sat down, I guess earlier (since it was a day bus), and never got up. I am young so I didn't care where I sat, but when you see an elderly woman barely walking, you would think people would be kind enough to offer a seat. I called up the SGS and left a message for Lou, but he never returned my phone call that day. That is not how you handle things. I called again the next day and was told he was busy and he will me back. Finally, Lou (the owner) called me back and told me it was my problem. Lou said, "You should of asked the bus driver for your seats," Well, if your workers knew what they were doing and told me I would have reserved seats, don't you think I would of? Lou even said his wife was on that bus and there were no issues. He has no respect for elderly people and will loose my business and my friends business. WORST COMPANY.RUDE PEOPLE. read more

I want to take this opportunity to thank SGS Travelscope and express my appreciation for their dedication and accountability. I travel on a weekly basis staying on an average three to four days in Atlantic City. When I purchase my roundtrip ticket the date I travel, the exact fare I am paying, and my return date are always printed on my tickets. The rate of my purchase and the dates that I am supposed to travel are never questioned. If I choose to stay in Atlantic City longer then the time specified on my ticket, all I have to do is contact SGS and let them know. I try to be considerate and inform them of any change so they are aware of any changes then they can then make necessary steps to inform their drivers. SGS has accommodated me for more then three years on a weekly basis without a hitch! I would never think of using another travel agency other then SGS. My family and I have used Sgs to Atlantic City for years and have never run into a problem with the service. Except for occasionally not liking the choice of movie shown, I can't say there is anything not to like. I went to AC with this company only once. I had a very good experience. I paid $35 for a round trip and received a $30 credit which I used to play in one of the casinos. I'm very happy that there is bus going from my neighborhood (Kings Highway and East 16th) to AC and I don't have to travel all the way to Port Authority in the city. The bus was pretty comfortable; however, we got a little cold on the way back because of the air conditioning. The bus left promptly at 9:15 am and we got to the first casino at 12. We had 6 hours to enjoy AC and at 6:15 we were already on the bus. Because of the traffic, it took us an hour longer to get back to Brooklyn. It appears that the company has its own regulars who know each other and the driver and travelled several times with the company. I am glad that I took this trip with this company. I will do it again and I definitely will recommend it to my friends P.S. Thank you to Valeriya who works at the office. She was very helpful. She gladly advised me about the AC and other travel destinations that the company offers. read more
