BEFORE YOU ARRIVE, have your items counted, have them bagged in a clear bag, or bring a dollar to buy five clear bags they helpfully have available in case you show up with a kitchen bag like I first did. If you're feeling extra kind, rinse those bottles and cans to deter those aggressive summer insects. After you make your way past those yellow carts, collect your cash, buy more beer, and cheers to CCRC!

Alright, I'm on the fence here... Fences are made of metal, so you can scrap them here, by the way…read more I mean, it's a scrapyard. You're not exactly dealing with Tiffany & Co. Diamond Consultants here. I will say that Ira is really nice, and so are most of his employees. They helped me empty my truck, and did their best to make sure my items were headed to the right place. But, like most scrapyards, they pay bupkis here. I am NOT a scrapper, I just go here to throw away large appliances for a few bucks instead of actually PAYING a dump to take them away. Better than nothing, I guess. I once had two refrigerators... Got $9.25. Not exactly a living wage unless you can find 16 busted appliances a day. Also, they do not close at 3PM. They close at 2:45. I once came at 2:50, and while they were happy to take my scrap metal for free, they wouldn't weigh my truck for the few dollars I would have received. I use my truck for work, and could not spend the night with a bunch of junk in it. You're probably better off throwing your metal on the curb and putting up a Craigslist ad... some scrapper will take it in less than 24 hours. Not really worth the trip here unless you somehow came across a bin full of pure copper.

Rob, who could run any major corporation didn't even blink when I threw him a curve right before his team was going to remove a big hot tub from our deck. Calmly reassured us that his team could handle a last minute change. And what a great team. They worked tirelessly until the job was successfully completed. Even cleaned up afterward. We highly recommend this company for it's professionalism, great communication, dependability and dedication.
