Hugo and his team were really AMAZING! We decided it was time refinish and update our approx. 400 square foot backyard deck. Hugo came out for an estimate within 2 days of me requesting an appointment, and sent me the estimate the next day. I had other companies that I'd reached out to that wanted me to send them pictures first or couldn't come out for a while or there prices were seriously more than $1,000 what Hugo's price was. Hugo gave me 2 options on our deck, one more involved than the other as far as repair, but we appreciated the choices. He gave me a booklet of stain color choices and when I couldn't decide between 2 colors, he came over and painted 2 boards so I could see what each would turn out like. Seriously went the extra mile for us. Best of all, the finished product looks amazing! They sanded down and secured loose boards and the deck now looks near new. They took care to put plastic wrap around our doors and windows and outside furniture to protect it from any paint spray. Took 2 days total. Hugo was excellent with emailing/texting on timing and what they were doing. It seems so rare these days to find superior communication and results. Well.... Hugo did it again! After hiring Hugo last year to refurbish our 15 year old deck, we called him again to build us an additional deck on the lower part of our backyard. We received a few quotes just to do our due diligence but Hugo once again blew all the quotes out of the water! He is extremely responsive and had no issues with us making a few changes while the work was getting done. He even threw in a few extras - like staining the deck to match my existing deck and putting in some additional railings so my kids couldn't get into areas they shouldn't in the backyard. I emailed the company and several others while searching through several local ads and websites as i was looking to restore a 20' × 25' deck and received a call from Hugo 15 minutes later. He said he was finishing a quote and could come by in about 45 minutes to take a look at our deck and give us a quote. He arrived in 43 minutes and immediately pointed out safety issues structurally with the deck we were looking to restore that other contractors hadn't pointed out previously. He provided several ideas of what we could do to bring that area back to life while educating me on the different types of wood we could use.
