Excellent service. We took some knives in to get sharpened. Fast and inexpensive. Will go back again.

I called Mr.Appliance and a REAL PERSON actually answered the phone, spoke to me and arranged for a technician to come on Tuesday. But on Monday AM I learned that an earlier doctor's appointment on Tuesday was being delayed by 1.5 hours. I called Mr. Appliance to request a later time on Tuesday and again a REAL PERSON answered the phone and gave me a later time slot. Tanner came and was polite and efficient and repaired the dryer. Overall I was pleased but in this day of AI and answering machines I really appreciated being able to directly communicate with REAL PEOPLE rather than answering machines.

Got the service scheduled for three days out, and received an immediate confirmation, as well as a day-before confirmation that included a photo of the technician. Received a text from the technician when he was on his way. Upon his inspection of the dryer, he determined he would need to order a new part, but said he would be able to get back to install it by the end of the day. Turned out even better than that--he was back in a couple of hours, telling me he decided it would be quicker to swing back to my place then instead of after his next stop, as he'd planned. After the new part was in, everything was fine. The repair wasn't cheap--replacing a circuit board won't be in any circumstances--but the repair went smoothly and the dryer is now working fine.

When I couldn't, I brought it back to the vacuum store. He got me in right away! I had my vacuum the next day and he even cleaned it! Then, to top it all off, he gave me a discount. He was such a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend them!

I asked the repairman about a Kirby i purchased that apparently needed a new electric cord He told me I would need to bring it in (OK) and he would charge me $49.95 to do a basic tune up on it... I told him I would not do that and i purchased my bags for my other Kirby and went on my merry way Yesterday I took the electric cord off the broken Kirby and woudlnt you know it the cord from the older Kirby fit exactly on to the newer Kirby. I hit the off and on switch and lo and behold the newer Kirby runs fine As i expected when you bring any machine into this store you get recommended a $49.95 tune up no matter what instead of just diagnosing what is wrong with your machine and fixing it.. This store makes a fortune doing fake tune ups.. there is no such thing The general public doesnt know this I sold these Kirby machines door to door for 8 years so I know a little about it We called these shysters BO JACKERS a cute little name for rip offs Im sure they are not all like this but this store definitely is I would think twice before i go there for anything except bags and belts which you can buy direct from the factory at a much lower price this is my story and Im sticking to it

I've used this service on 2 separate occasions. The good thing about them is that they will come to…read moreyour home and sharpen your knives for you outside your driveway, which is better than having to physically drive to someone and leaving them for hours or days to do the same thing. However they recently lost their traveling knife sharpener and in the process of training a new one, which was not made clear on the website when I was trying to book an appt only to find they had none. I'm glad they are eventually getting another person, but it is a frustrating dilemma because finding someone to sharpen knives is not easy to begin with. Beyond that their prices are kind of high, but you're paying a premium for convenience I guess.

This is a great service…read more Yes, I should sharpen my own knives. I should also take care of them better. But I don't. I don't have the time, or frankly the interest. The sad reality is that I have better knives than I deserve. So when the guilt and shame of having dull knives becomes too much to bear, I am thrilled that I can rely on Roaming Stone to come to the rescue. In the past, I've brought my knives out of the house to be sharpened, and it's a giant pain in the neck. For starters, I have a lot of dull knives. Traveling with them feels weird and creepy. Walking around with them, even when they are dull, feels quite unsafe. Plus these past excursions meant I was without my knives for a few days. With Jacob, it's quick and easy. I set up an appointment online. He showed up on time (actually a few minutes late, but he texted me in advance). I was handed a gray felt basket for my dull knives. Jacob did his thing in my driveway while I did some dishes in the kitchen. Then he was done. With a swipe of my credit card the bill was paid. Now I have functional knives again, and it feels so good. It's just $6 per regular straight knife, regardless of the size. Ten inch chefs knife? Six bucks. Eight inch cleaver? Six bucks. Crazy long butcher knife? Six bucks. Of course that meant my little paring knife was also six bucks, but it all comes out in the wash. Really, with my big knives, I still feel like I came out ahead. Regardless, it's a fair price for the service. Jacob even offered some helpful tips at the end of our session about how to best take care of my tools. He was a good sport when I told him my plan was to keep abusing them, and will set up another appointment once I could no longer face their diminished edges. If you have enough time to enjoy cooking, but not quite enough time to sharpen your knives, this is how you should roll.
