My wife and I had a safe that was purchased several years ago online that never worked properly and wouldn't open reliably. We were directed to Safe Home Lock & Key by the safe manufacturer. Despite replacing the locking mechanism, the safe still didn't open reliably. We troubleshot the lock with the lock tech support which revealed that Safe Home Lick & Key had installed the lock poorly, drilling out the body and contaminating the mechanism with his drill work to the point that the lock was considered damaged after the service attempt. Fortunately, we were able to find another locksmith to fix Safe Home's work and now the safe works as expected. Besides the shoddy work, he was also a painful person to deal with. He was late, forcing my spouse to wait several hours on more than one occasion despite appointments. He was condescending and spoke down to us, all the while screwing up our safe. He was mad at us for contacting the lock manufacturer; probably because this revealed his incompetence. He refused to stand behind his work or refund our money. The lock manufacturer felt so bad for us that they gave us a replacement lock so that we could sell it on eBay to try to recoup some of our out-of-pocket expenses since the work was some of the worst they'd ever seen before. I have no idea how he has so many five-star reviews, and suspect that they may be either self-fabricated, commissioned, or fraudulent. We would recommend steering clear of him.

Ben answered immediately and set an appointment within the hour. My plan was to dash to Home Depot and buy a new door handle and lock set. My problem was that I didn't want to miss the police officer who was going to make a report. Guess what? BEN DID MY SHOPPING FOR ME. Can you believe it? Now. THIS is great service. You will see by the photo that Ben did a stellar job in installing the new set. I sent him a picture of the original one and he was able to match the new one so that the holes all line up. While I had Ben here, he re-keyed all of the locks in the house and provided plenty of keys. So deeply grateful for the quick, professional, and excellent service. To top it off? Ben is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

He came out as scheduled but almost immediately I noticed a certain...arrogance, almost condescending attitude. He must be used to dealing with wealthy rubes who just want to throw around a lot of money but not do any thinking or research for themselves and I had done a LOT of research. For starters when I told him I was looking to get a good deal on an OLED from last year's model he told me with a smirk "no way you're going to find one this time of year" when in fact (and I showed him) SEVERAL places, including Amazon, Ebay and other online retailers where they were still available at a bargain. He also criticized my choice (an LG G3 77" OLED) sayng Samsung was better, but in my research and for my purposes the LG was widely considered across MANY consumer forums to be the superior set, with LG having a long standing track record for quality over Samsung. Perhaps more egregiously he told me that in no way should I buy the 5.1 system I wanted but that he could set me up with a SONOS soundbar system instead...for tripe the cost of course. Again, looking at A/V forums online soundbars, while better than ever, are still no match for a dedicated 5.1 system. SONOS is considered great for music, but subpar for movies and gaming which are my primary uses. Basically, aside from his smug and condescending attitude, which is hard to convey in words but definitely turned me off almost immediately, it was clear he was really trying to push me to buy what HE wanted to push, and NOT really listening or caring about what I wanted or what would be best for me, AND it was clear that he wasn't used to being questioned or dealing with people willing to do their own research... I had asked him to compare two 5.1 systems I was looking at and he DID get back to me (hence 2 stars instead of 1), but his argument against getting either of them were "they were being phased out of support". For my purposes that's not something I care about, and I told him as much...if I can get a good deal on a slightly older model I'll take it. If you have money to burn and don't care to do your own research and/or think for yourself, by all means call Frankwin. I'm sure his actual work is competent but both his personality and his advice really gave me a scummy vibe. YMMV...

I had a key fob that's been half-working for about six months. By the time he finished, I had a brand new key fob and two freshly cut keys. He also offered to replace the battery in the old one. For context, I drive a Mazda that requires manufacturer key fobs, so the total came out to about $350. They were very upfront about the cost and explained that Mazdas can be a little tricky with keys. Now instead of one key that works half the time, I have three keys that work perfectly and a backup.
