I put off doing the roof as long as I could but this spring, I could wait no more. I found Altitude Contracting here on Yelp, but they were also recommended by my Allstate agent as well. I called them and Kyle Schroder the owner got right back with me to set up a time to come look at the house. He came and gave us an estimate and then went to work to help me file a claim with Allstate. As it turns out, Allstate was pretty hard to work with and Kyle went above and beyond to get Allstate to pay what they should. Once we were able to get Allstate on board, Kyle and company went to work. While it took 3 months to get Allstate to pay, it only took Altitude ONE DAY to do the roof from start to finish. They not only replaced the felt and shingles, but also the vent covers, flashing and all the other metal. It looked FABULOUS and when I looked around at the end of the day, you absolutely could not tell they had been there other than having great looking shingles. No trash, no debris, no nails or screws left behind to get in your tires. Perfect job. Now, they absolutely were NOT the cheapest (I had gotten quotes for up to 2000.00 less). However, I have had several roofs done over the years at various properties and Altitude was the fastest and most professional roofing company I have ever worked with. I hope not to need a roof again for several years, if ever. However if I do, I will definitely use Altitude Contracting again. You will not go wrong with these guys!!

They committed to painting our house as well as the roof replacement and said it would likely be a couple hundred dollars out of pocket for us for everything. In the end they wanted to charge us the full cost of the house painting, when including the painting was a huge part of his sales pitch and one of the main reasons we went with them. When I went on the roof after the replacement I noticed they did not replace the turtle vents, the same hail dented ones are still there, but they were billing me for the vents. After calling getting those taken off in the same conversation they added charges for roofing around my swamp cooler which was there when they did the assessment, evaluation and estimate, there was zero reason for there to be unknown cost regarding the swamp cooler. And these costs were only added after I called about the vents NOT being replaced. I felt that they had a specific dollar amount they were trying to get. As another person said here, they were out to get the most for doing the least. They were trying to bill for things that were not replaced and I am still mad, like why didn't you just replace the vents and we would have paid for them! Instead of not replacing them and trying to have me pay for work that was not done. Boils down to all the trust being totally broken. Could have had a customer for life. And what is really bad is posting about himself and the company doing things the right way and treating people right and that was NOT my experience at all.

He contracted for us and he tried to mislead us in how he wrote the contract. He kept asking for more money because he bid the job incorrectly so we paid him more so he could finish the job but he didn't come back. He even tried scare tactics by threatening to put a lean on our home to get more money, he had his lawyer send the paperwork so when I called his lawyer about it, his lawyer said that he wasn't aware of the several payment we sent him. He is a sneaky thief and we are in the process of taking him to court for fraud! There were more complaints of him on the BBB site you can review about some other businesses he had and did the same. People like him get away with this lying, stealing and cheating folks for so long thinking there are no consequences and then try to hide behind bogus lawyer tactics. Stay clear of him because you wont get what you wanted nor will the job be installed properly.
