Snobby weather, from browsing to purchase …read more.. This used to be a chain pharmacy, a smaller version of a Pharmasave that stocked the essentials. Someone got the idea to renovate the space into an Integrative Holistic Mandala Pharmacy full of $100 face creams, locust juice kidney tonics, and plenty of woo. If you're into that kind of thing, you'll find all the jojoba soap you'd like to find, even if it's not from brands you're familiar with. As far as a pharmacy for filling prescriptions, I can't say. I went in to get some rubbing alcohol, as I need to IM inject for a medical condition. The labcoat person immediately made jokes as to whether or not I planned on drinking it there. Har har--you don't have me laugh, guv. As for the cashier -- a quintessential specimen of all that has become pretentious in Kitsilano's strange combination of Buddhism and Botox -- a more snobby person you wouldn't find. Customer service matters. Friendly service matters. Why patronize a shop that acts patronizingly towards you? There are plenty of friendly alternative pharmacies in the area. I'd avoid this one.

We've been going here regularly since my first review and we only like it all the more. We've had better advice and personal service here than any other pharmacy ever. The owner and head pharmacist are efficient and professional, yet gracious. It's a pleasure, not a chore, dealing with them. I could go on and on but that would be gushing! I wish all businesses could be this easy to deal with - intelligent, comprehensive interactions, decent prices and higher quality merchandise and environment right down to the interior air their employees and customers have to breathe.(it's actual air, not air mixed with "air fresheners") Well done, Pure.

The past 18 months were extraordinarily busy, plus strangely problematic, and I have been feeling a little too 'worse for wear' so I inquired about some healthy herbal reparation and support. In one of the small consultation rooms, Sun, a lovely Chinese Herbal Doctor, in his white clinical coat, took my pulses from each wrist (organ pulses) and prescribed a seven herb remedy. Consultation: 17$ Herbs- an interesting bunch of dried twigs, sliced stalks, roots and seeds?- for twice daily tea remedy, for one week wrapped in 7 brown paper packages: 77$ Sun told me to tell the woman taking payment that in China the 11th day of the 11th month is half price day! Pretty auspicious, I thought. Guess she didn't agree! She charged me full price. O well. =D Delightful to watch the two women measure out my remedy onto the 7 pieces of brown wrapping paper. Let you know how it goes.

I have been a customer of this pharmacy for two years, always paying $40 CAD for shipping. However, due to a Canadian postal strike, the pharmacy switched to a cheaper shipping method without informing me, but still charged me the full $40 CAD. When the package arrived in Brazil, the shipping company hired by the pharmacy, in addition to the customs fees, which I am required to pay, charged me an extra $42.75 CAD, which I did not agree to pay, as it was never previously agreed with me. I refused the package, and it was returned to Canada. Now, the manager Kade and her assistant Kelaiah seem to beare, in an indirect way, making it difficult for the returned package to be received, possibly in retaliation for my not paying the additional fee demanded by the carrier they hired, thus preventing the refund.
