I really want to give this 5 stars because the front desk and the assistants are super nice and…read morethey fit me in when I came to my appt on the wrong day. We adoptedo a kitten at Christmas and brought him in 2 weeks later to be treated for ringworms because we all got it from the cat with my daughter requiring very extensive treatment for 6 weeks. The vet told us he found no lesions, didn't even offer a test or educate us about ringworms and care. 2 months later we adopt another kitten and brought him in after 1 week for a checkup just to find out that he was infected with ringworms from our first cat. Dr Rivera was great and highly urged us to bring in the first cat for testing educating us that some cats do not show symptoms but are carriers or ringworm. Sure enough our first cat still has ringworms and now both cats are in isolation instead of getting used to each other and we've spent a lot of money on treatment for both cats when this could have been all completely done with if the first vet we saw had spent a bit more time listening to us, educating us and encouraging us to test our cat. The cat could have been treated and isolated 2 months ago and the new cat would have never gotten it and we would have been safer as well. Plus the additional stress and inconvenience of constant cleaning and sanitizing and not being able to socialize for 2 cats now vs just 1. Also having to tell friends and family who have been over to check for ringworms on themselves. Dr Riviera was great educating us but the first experience is just something I really needed to share here because it caused a very unfortunate and expensive situation for us, so hoping to avoid this for others in the future.
