Our boy is a Europeon Doberman and is now 3yrs old. He's been enjoying doggy daycare at Oaklane Kennels for 2 1/2 years now and I can't complain about one thing. He goes weekly and we use their boarding services when traveling without him. Everyone treats us great and he is always excited to go for a stay. (Prices are great too!) Thanks goes out to everyone at Oaklane Kennel for great services and loving our boy, Wils. read more

Oaklane Kennels - Wils on his 3rd birthday enjoying the beach - Pet Sitting Near Me - Valrico, Florida

I give this place a try because the person I used to call to take care of my baby move to another city. When I picked her up this morning she just pull me to the grass and she pee and poo a lot liked as if no one had taken her to go potty more earlier. And she been to stressful all day. When we been at home she just stay under my beed for hours and when I walked her she was scared and pull me to go inside home again. They charge me 38 dollars and that's the price for the small kennel. When I do the reservation the night before I choose the medium one plus the extra to leave her 15 minutes to walk in the yard by herself. I don't gonna leave my baby in this place again. read more

I've been to plenty of bad kennel and boarding places so as I researched, I found Oaklane Kennels. They had great reviews and setting up my two dogs for boarding was super easy. They called my vet for their updates shots and it was a very easy and smooth set up. My dogs seemed to do fine and came back with no injuries or issues so I am a happy fur mama! My flight also got delayed so my dogs had to stay two more days which was no issue with them and so that was very helpful. A couple of things to take into account, you pay before you board. Their hours for boarding are 7:30a-12p, 3p-5p. Latest for pickup is 5:30pm. You have to bag up the dog food for each day as they board or you will be charged a fee per day if they have to do it - completely understandable. They were very friendly and helpful when I called. I think I've found my new boarding place for my fur babies! read more

Oaklane Kennels - Entrance - Pet Sitting Near Me - Valrico, Florida

These people just love pets and our dogs just love going here. This place is clean and their service and caring is top notch. Our dogs just love this place and they will not allow just any dog into the place. They verify with your vet that your pet's shots are up to date before allowing your pet to be boarded, they take cats as well. If your dog is a swimmer they have a pool, if it is a chaser they have plenty of ground for that as well. Also they have some extras services for the dogs to get some extra special attention. read more

I am related to the owner so I know the inside scoop and I can tell you they love every guest and care for them as if they are all family. I bring my dogs to daycare for excercise and socialization and I LOVE when I pick them up and their tongues are hanging out with big smiles. read more

These guys are awesome! I spoke to two different people there and it came across as absolutely clear that they are in this for the love of animals. Their only concern with everything they do is to make sure that the pets in their care are taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new doggy day care or boarding (overnight camp as my dogs know it as). read more

I have been going to this Kennel for over 10 years. One of our dogs who passed away was their first doggy daycare dog. He went from a scared rescue dog to a great home dog that spent some of his energy at doggy daycare. As other mentioned, they love the animals out there. For the daycare, they always have someone watching and separate the dogs according to size. They invested in the area over the years including a pool for them to refresh in the summer. So if you are looking for a place where your dog socializes and spends energy I very highly recommend it. They are courteous and that means that once in a while you may have to wait 1 or 2 minutes to get or drop your dog while they finish with another customer. There isn't a big rotation of personnel which is a rare thing in that industry, so they must do something right with the employees also :) We didn't do a lot of kenneling with them, but each time we did, we had no trouble. As happen often the dogs didn't eat as much as usual and we had a bit left on our return from a week trip. One of the dog needed medication and there was no problem there. I would also recommend the kenneling. read more

Soooo I have been trying to contact this place for the last week. And their hours suck. Not to mention I call then with in their operating hours and all I ever get is an answering machine. I have two puppies and a cat and I will be taking them else where. My concern is it seems with their hours of operation they are only there during the times my pups won't need them. In the morning and the late afternoon. And the rest of the time my dogs will be alone. That's crap I board my dogs so they won't be alone. I would have tried this place but it seems as though they can't even answer the phone to take my pets much less stay open long enough to watch them. To end this I do not recommend this place to any one. For what they ask your can leave your pet at home and they would probably be better off. Here are their hours Mon-fri 8am-12pm Mon-fri 3pm- 5pm Sat 8am-10am Soooo let me get this right. You can save money pay your neighbor or best friend to stop by your house take them out feed then and put them in a crate. What are they doing from 12pm-3Pm. I read online that this is nap time. My dogs don't need a nap. They will sleep when they very well feel like it. As will any pet. And on Sundays. Apparently they are closed so no one is available for you. Lord forbid that you come back early to pick your pet up or try and board a pet on a Sunday. In addition it seems skeptical that some one comes and check on the dogs. I prefer to leave my dogs at home. Oh and some of these reviews seem to be people related to the owners which I think is a bit of a skewed review. If you need your family members to write a review for you that's a bit sad. read more

My dog has been attending daycare at Oaklane Kennels for 10 yrs. She absolutely loves getting to play and socialize with other dogs. The staff genuinely cares for her and doesn't hesitate to cuddle her when she arrives, which she loves! The owner is a responsible caring person who makes sure that the staff and facility is well maintained and the animals are carefully looked after. They are the priority. Holly has utilized the boarding services as well in the last few years since her Grammy passed away and couldn't watch her when we went on vacation. Because of the familiarity of the owner and staff, I did not hesitate to leave my dog in their care. They cater to her needs and really love her. It is a wonderful place with a gold heart at it's core. read more

I love this place and the friendly staff. I take my dog noodle here. I love the fact that they have indoor outdoor runs and they tend to my dogs special needs like the fact that he uses pee pads and drinks bottled water. I would never go anywhere else. They are very clean here and I feel safe when my dog is there and I have to leave. read more

Gracie has been going to Oaklane Kennels Doggie Day Care and Kennel for almost 7 years. I would never take her anywhere else. Ted, Alice, Heather, Jamie and crew are the most attentive, loving people both to your dog and you personally. When I lost my husband a little over a year ago it was very hard on Gracie (she had been Daddy's girl). Ted and crew recognized she was in mourning and worked with her in the immediate weeks following. On a routine note, Gracie has her BFF's and routine in doggie day care. I get feedback on who she played with, did she swim or just stand stomach deep in the pool, etc. So it's not a place that you "drop off and pick up" it's family. If you are looking for that personal second home for your four-legged love, try them -- just don't take Gracies' spot!!!! read more

Just had my 8 dogs there while I moved my kennels for three weeks. They said that it would be $1489.60 per week. I pre-paid each week as requested. I go there today to pick up my animals who are very precious to me and they say I owe another $86 for no apparent reason...because the owner said so. I said, "What?" I got my dogs after a long to-do then the owner charged my card without my authorization. I will be reporting them everywhere I can. Nobody should be treated like this. What's more, my dogs are very skinny. I took them food every week. I was very specific about their feeding schedule. Shocked by the quality and business practices at this kennel. Watch out the owner is unscrupulous and greedy. read more

Lucy loves Oaklane Kennels so much, we now have to spell out the words in front of her so she doesn't have a freak out. She loves her day of play and her many friends, and we wouldn't consider any other place for boarding. She always comes home happy and tired. read more

My Bichon goes crazy when he knows he is going to Aunt Sally's and Uncle Ted's. Yuki LOVES doggie day care and I never ever worry when he is boarded. This is the best place for your fur babies hands down. Even my kitties were not psychotic after being boarded. The onsite pet groomer, Candace, is the best in town. Yuki also gets excited to see her. I have never been around people who love and care for pets as much as the wonderful people at Oaklane Kennel. I have been taking my pets to them for years and years. read more

We currently have two yellow labs and one golden retriever. We have been dog owners for more than 45 years, and we have lived in 20 US states. Never before have we been so please with the care and professionalism we've receive at Oaklane. The environment, the facility, the grounds, the large doggie pool and the play area, make this place the epitome of pet resorts. Above all, the friendliness makes Oaklane our favorite for our babies. The entire staff at Oaklane is truly caring. read more

Oaklane is simply the best and safest kennel for your fur baby to stay and play while you're away! We usually have family watch our two dogs when we go out of town but when that doesn't work out we want to know that Boone and Rossi are loved and taken care of. Our two boys LOVE Oaklane! It's like going to puppy Disney World for a few days, they get to swim in the pool and get one on one attention from the wonderful owners! I can't stress enough how thankful we are for Ted and everyone else at Oaklane! Their groomer is so talented and hand makes all his own shampoos so our boys are always smelling incredible when we pick them up! If you are looking for a trustworthy kennel to board your pets look no further! read more

we had used this kennel about 7 times this year, sometimes up to 2-3 weeks. the service is always excellent and the dogs well cared for. very through with our food and medication requirements. super clean facility. dog grooming/services next door. the hours can be a little hard to drop off/pick up on the weekends but if possible, they'll work with you. I am sure I'll be using them again soon read more

I can't say enough great things about Oaklane Kennels. I've lived in Fl for two years now and have tried every doggie day camp within a 50 mile radius, and keep coming back to Oaklane. This isn't to say that these other places were bad, they just weren't a good fit for my beloved pooch. Oaklane is a family owned business. They take great pride in what they do and how they care for our pets. They love love these animals so much, and it reflects in the happiness of our pets when we come to pick them up at the end of the day. I will agree that there are times when I call and get the answering machine, but this is because the staff is busy interacting with the animals, giving them meds if needed, making sure they always have plenty of fresh water, walking them, and cleaning out their kennels, and then it's time to give them breakfast or dinner. They are so busy taking care of our little bundles of joy, so that we can drop them off and go about our busy day and not have to worry. With every successful business, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes that most people are not aware of. A little kindness and appreciation goes a long way. So next time you get their answering machine, leave a message and they will call you back in an appropriate amount of time-they always do. In the meantime, if you love your pet(s) and want nothing short of the best for them, Oaklane is like a club med, peace of mind for you and pure pleasure and stimulation for your furry friend! Oaklane, you're the BEST! Julie S read more

Rip off- shady place. We have been taking our dogs to kennels for 10 years and never have I felt more ripped off and angry than I did when we took my dog here this weekend. We were quoted one price and told that we may or may not pick up our dog on Sunday. We were instructed to call and leave a message and they would call us back if they would allow us to get our dog. I thought this was a little odd like they were checking to see how much money they made that week and if it was not enough, you could not get your dog. We were desperate as we had to go out of town on short notice for a charity we volunteer with. When my husband arrived with our dog, we were asked if we wanted extras such as basic human contact for extra money and other options. We called the next day to see if we could pick up our dog and received a call back 3 hours later telling us we could get our dog at 6:45 pm. When my husband went to get her, we were charged $65.00!!!! For only about 32 hours of care. That is more than most places charge for 3 days. I called and spoke with the owner who told me she did us a favor by allowing us to get our dog on Sunday and that she was there for longer than a night so we were charged more. When I tried to speak with her about this she became argumentative and kept telling me they were closed on Sundays and she did us a favor by allowing us to get our dog. Yes, we got our dog and were charged an excessive amount of money to do so. We were charged for time she was not even there. This place and the owner seem shady, dishonest and have no sense of customer service. Do not take your animals here. read more
