We're so happy we found Bamboo Dog Resort - it's taken so much of the stress and worry away. We've boarded all 3 of our dogs here a couple times now to get them used to the whole process and every time we pick them up our dogs are happy, healthy and ready for a nap! Debbie is so sweet and you can tell she really cares about the dogs. Facilities are clean and I love how big the yards are for our dogs. Also, really happy with the dogs getting the one on one time and having 5+ times outside each day. There was so many extras that Debbie just includes that you would have to pay more for at other facilities. I also love how it isn't a huge facility, so you know your baby is getting the care and attention they deserve. So glad we found them and now have somewhere to watch our dogs whenever needed!

They started pushing treatment and tried to get me to claim ownership so they could charge me. It felt very manipulative I clearly stated I was not the owner and only wanted a scan, yet they still tried to push services. There was no compassion in this matter. Just a clear focus on billing someone I would not trust this clinic in a situation where genuine care and empathy matters

If you love your pet, DO NOT COME HERE! Reviews don't always show up on Google. The manager, Jim…read moreAntunano, Jr. and Dr. Courtney Carroll, will lie with no guilt. Jim, will have no problem gaslighting you when things go wrong. Incompetence, mistakes, negligence and a cover-up took place while I was there, and it caused prolonged suffering for my cat. They are a family-owned business, so that gives them so much incentive to lie. There are no cameras in the rooms, so they can lie all they want and make you seem like the one who is crazy. They offer people $5 for leaving a review, so that's very disingenuous. Jim is basically just a figurehead. He is not a medical professional. Dr. Carroll is the one in power since she can make things up, and he will side with her since he is not knowledgeable. Even after showing Jim a photo of my cat's unhealed eye, he was still not competent enough to realize that Dr. Carroll messed up or lied about his condition. If the manager cannot oversee the mess-ups of his employees, then who will? * I wasn't told about the other treatment options for entropion. * During the appointment for his vaccines, I mentioned I was worried about him still itching after the surgery. Dr. Carroll told me it could be allergy related and brushed it off as something we could handle later. It should've been handled right then and there. (He was itching a lot more after.) * After his operation, I realized his private was red and looked very sore. He was having trouble peeing and was in constant discomfort. Dr. Carroll told me it was sticking out while he was under anesthesia. She said she lubricated it and put it back in. Dr. Carroll didn't stick to one story. * 5 days after his surgery, he scratched at his stitches while eating and caused a tiny tear. When I came in to get it checked out, it was 7 days after his operation and Dr. Carroll decided to remove the stitches. * Dr. Carroll told the manager that my cat had removed most of the stitches himself. If that is true, why on earth would she not re-suture his eyelid? * The next morning while he was eating, he did one little swipe at his eye and the eyelid tore open. It clearly happened because his stitches were removed far too early. I blamed her for the extent of his injuries after she removed his stitches too early. I was told to come in the next day. The only reason why they didn't take him in that day was because they were busy. I am highly disappointed I wasn't advised to go to an emergency hospital with him since a wound that deep can get infected. * Jim claims that as a "courtesy" I was not charged for his re-suturing, which is false. I called stating that I was not comfortable paying for something that was caused by Dr. Carroll. I was told I still had to pay for the equipment and medication, so it was not free of charge. * Dr. Carroll lied about my cat's condition. She pretended to put the fluorescent stain on his eye and said he didn't have an ulcer. There was no green in his eye when she had me come over to look at his eye. The reason why she did this is because I complained to the manager about her not scheduling a revisit for my cat's eye since it wasn't fully healed. I showed a photo of my cat's unhealed to Jim, and he still took her side. I ended up scheduling a visit with my previous veterinarian. When she checked his eye she said there was an ulcer. * Dr. Carroll was not successful with his entropion surgery. * Dr. Carroll claimed he didn't need surgery for both eyelids when he did. She originally stated that he did, but then changed her mind. * They claim to have recommended an ophthalmologist, but that's a lie. * Also, Ashley, the veterinarian technician, may seem very nice and sociable, but she is a major participant in Dr. Carroll's mistakes and lies. In a previous visit, she was the one who told me the Oculenis was for repairing the eye. She said nothing when Dr. Carroll said it was just a lubricant. She was also the one who took part in the cover-up. She was in the room holding my cat when Dr. Carroll pretended to put the fluorescent stain in his eye. She even backed up Dr. Carroll by saying something along the lines of "the redness just being vascularization." All I had asked for after the terrible care and prolonged suffering that my cat had to experience was a full refund and for them to pay for his allergy testing and the first round of possible medication he would need. Jim said no to everything. I had asked for all of this before the last appointment when Dr. Carroll lied about my cat's eye being healed. Also, Jim, if you're reading this, just know that your father, who was the founder of the place and also an actual veterinarian, would be ashamed of your incompetence and lack of care towards patients and clients. He didn't die and leave this place in your hands for you to abuse your power and potentially ruin its reputation due to your inability to oversee your employees. That's only if he wasn't like you and actually cared.

We decided to fly home over Memorial Day weekend to surprise my dad for his 80th birthday, which…read morerequired boarding our dog from Friday through Monday (they wouldn't allow pick-up Sunday or Monday). He had previously stayed at Puppy Palace during a cruise, where he was placed in a suite. During that time, we were less concerned as my friend picked him up each morning for daytime playdates, ensuring he was well cared for. This time, however, was different. To provide context, our dog is on a consistent schedule: walks at 3:30AM, 10:30AM, 3:30PM, and 8:00PM, and he is fully house-trained. On Sunday morning at 5:53AM, I checked the suite camera and noticed feces in the room. It remained there until 8:30AM, which was concerning given our dog's routine and hygiene. Additionally, after the room was cleaned and reset, I observed that both his morning and evening meals had been given to him at once. By 6:00PM, all the food had been eaten, leaving him without food until 8:30AM the next day. Additionally, I had paid for the X-Night Walk, which was supposed to last 10 minutes. However, the walk was cut short; our dog was returned to his room in only 4 minutes. On Monday at 4:20AM, again feces in the room, not cleaned up until 8:30AM. Once again, both of his meals were placed in the room together first thing in the morning. We had also purchased the "Pamper My Pet" (PMP) service for the entire weekend, but I never received any pictures or a report for Monday. On Tuesday at 2AM, again feces in the room, not cleaned up until 6AM. Typically, staff are scheduled to arrive at 6:30AM, but no one notified us that there would be a delay until 8:30AM. As a result, our dog was locked in his room for a total of 11.5 hours. Who would subject a pet to this kind of treatment? It's beyond comprehension that a facility entrusted with caring for animals would allow such neglect to happen. What I find most concerning is the way our dog was treated by one of the male attendants. On both Sunday and Monday, he was returned to the room at 8:44AM in a distressed state. In the video footage, the attendant appears to toss him into the room while still attached to a leash, and our dog's tail is visibly tucked between his legs, cowering in fear. In stark contrast, when a female staff member returned our dog from his walk on Monday night, he was visibly happy, wagging his tail. This behavior suggests a troubling inconsistency in the care he received, which I find deeply unsettling. Jennifer called to discuss my concerns, and asked to speak with Alicia, which is not my name. During our conversation, she claimed that our dog had relieved himself on the shortened walk, which is why it was cut short. She did not offer an apology for the fact that we paid for a 10-minute walk and received only 4 minutes. Furthermore, she insisted that there was nothing concerning about the way the male attendant handled our dog. When I asked about the PMP service, she said someone had sent it, but she couldn't provide any specific details or resend the report. Obviously, the report was never sent, as I did receive the others. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a public review with supporting photos and videos, Jennifer's response was, "it will get buried." To make matters worse, Jennifer accused me of only out to seek compensation when she said, "I know where this is going, I know what type of person you are, you want a handout." This is not the case. My sole request is for an apology and acknowledgment of the fact that, instead of enjoying quality time with my family, I was forced to spend the entire weekend worrying about my dog's well-being. If you are truly committed to ensuring your pet's well-being do not entrust a pet to this facility. The care my dog received was nothing short of disgusting, and the level of customer service was absolutely terrible--further reinforcing my decision to never trust this facility with my pet again. I hope you do the same.
