My coworker and I wanted to switch it up from our usual Jersey Mike's or Twisted Burrito lunch options. I'd been thinking about trying this place since they put it in, but never wanted to stop. There was more on the menu than I expected, but ended up going with three tenders, fries & Texas toast combo. I went with the garlic Parmesan since I've never been led astray when it comes to the seasoning. When I opened the box, I just stared at it for a solid few minutes thinking to myself that they surely didn't do what I think they did. Imagine just a parmesan cheese shaker with the top off just being dumped onto some average (at best) tenders and that's what you have here. A good suggestion would be to annotate which sauces are dry and which are wet, because I would have never picked these had I known. The fries were just okay. The seating area is tiny (and not the most ideal) with a whopping total of 24 seats. Four four-tops and four two-tops. For space purposes, it probably would have been smart for them to do all two-tops that way more people can sit comfortably in the crammed space and if they need to be pulled together, they can be. It didn't help that one of the people working there brought in one of their kids and she was taking up one of the four four-top tables. Delicious fried rice at a chicken wing joint? Whaaaat? Oh yeah, and pretty good wings to boot! Friends have been bringing wings from A-Town Wings to parties for a while but for some reason I didn't care much for them. Perhaps it was because by the time they arrived to the final destination, they were already cold and lost their crunch. However, one day I asked my husband to order take out because I was at work quite late. Instead of opting for some of our old faithfuls, he ordered takeout from A-Town. I was welcomed by a great smell when I got home. He told me that they seemed to not understand him when he ordered fries so he got fried rice but that the wings are great--and he wasn't kidding. He ordered honey lemon pepper wings and hot wings and the lemon pepper wings were amazing! There was actual honey dropping off of each piece of chicken...a salty and sweet delight. Now, the fried rice is another story. I love fried rice. No, seriously. I. Love. Fried. Rice. I opened up the little styrofoam container and it revealed to me a warm steaming mound of veggie fried rice that smelled and looked great. When I took my first bite, I was in love...and confused. How in the world is it that my favorite place to get fried rice is now going to be a chicken wing place? I guess there could be weirder things, right? Gr8 Customer service from Kaira. The food has gotten better since the restaurant Sac Daddy's went out of business. The now offer low country boils with snow crab, shrimp and crawfish. I have had the cajun crawfish 2 times. The crawfish are frozen but have a clean pull and don't hv a a frozen taste. They're not soggy, but the Cajun season was on the outside of my crawfish and not cooked in the crawfish. They charge too much for a tiny container of sauce if you order wings. The bathroom is nasty. You'll still hv to wait if you call in your order. The wings, onion rings, and fried catfish is good. You hv to order $150 worth of food to get a delivery. Too funny!
