We were recommended to try the Himalayan Dine In. What a great recommendation! The service was great as was the food. If I lived in Airdrie, I'd be a regular. I wish I recalled the host's name as he was fabulous and really made us feel at home. He patiently walked us through Nepalese and North Indian options. We all had something different and all were very happy with our choices.

Anyway my friend called them to let them know we were running late, they were absolutely fine about it. I had checked online where the restaurant was on the map but as we nearing the place my friend said it was down a completely different street. So I quickly turned down the road she pointed to which led to Giffnock train station and there enough was the restaurant. Hmm??! I was bamboozled! So we headed in and I apologised for our lateness and said about our booked table. The waiter grunted and looked at me strange but led us to a booth set out for two. The food was delicious and the service was good too. It was a nice cosy restaurant and I would definitely go again. Anyway it still puzzled me that I had thought the restaurant was in another street. Well I only found out not long after that there is a "New" Turban Tandoori only 5 minutes from where we were. Doh! So no wonder the waiter looked confused at me. I was first asked for the address, which was in Airdrie, 2.4 miles or 9 mins away (google maps). After specifying what I would like to be delivered, I was told that my order wouldn't be possible to that address. Initially, I accepted this, before calling back to ask why. (It seemed to me that the order was not big enough to justify the effort) I asked why it wouldn't be possible, stating that I'd had it delivered there before, to be told: - it would take too long - we only have one driver - our "local regular" customers (of which I am one!) would have to wait longer if (IF!) they ordered. Determined, I asked if there was an extra surcharge that I could pay for the extra few minutes delivery, at which point the woman on the call told me that I was being "a spoiled brat". I asked if I could speak to the manager to find out why my business was not wanted, at which point I was told that she "was too busy and that I would be stopping other people placing their orders", before the phone was put down on me. Disgusting, disrespectful behaviour. Wouldn't know customer service if it hit them in the face.
