What a cute plant store! I came in to replace a plant that kept dying on me so I needed some knowledge of the plant instead of replacing it at a big box store. These ladies were super sweet and helpful. All the plants looked healthy. You're gonna spend a little more here but, to me, it's worth the extra few bucks to support a small business and get a quality product and service. read more

This is my new favorite store in Boise! Upon walking in your greeted by very pleasent staff who explain how true shop is set up, and ask if they can be of any help in finding anything. Then you're set loose to immerse yourself in a jungle of unique, beautiful plants. The hardest thing about visiting A Succulent Day is deciding what your going to take home! I must have wandered around for 30 minutes before I finally made my final decision to only purchase two small plant babies: an Asparagus Fern ($12.00) and Snake Plant ($10.00). I have about 50 other plants at home, but two more little guys won't make a difference, right?! Also, I love vibe. Everyone in this store was so HAPPY. Not just the employees but the customers as well. I mean, how can you not be happy when you're surrounded by so much beauty?! If you're having a bad day, pop in and you'll see what I mean. You'll find the perfect plant here. From succulents to ferns, common to rare, big to small, easy to needy. Be warned, you just might walk out with your own jungle! I'll be back to add to my collection soon. Maybe that String of Dolphins will come home with me next time. Thank you to the owner for bringing such a wonderful shop to Boise. I only wish this place huge success and growth! :) read more

Plant lovers will find their happy place at A Succulent Day! This space is absolutely beautiful with an amazing selection of house plants, succulents, planters and planting supplies. The staff here are so friendly, approachable, and willing and wanting to share all of their knowledge. If you're a plant newbie like me, having someone to help guide your plant parenthood is wonderful. They all know how much water, sunlight, humidity and just about everything each plant needs. This new location is bigger and better than ever after moving from their previous spot also on State Street. As we all know, State can be a crazy road to turn in and out of big their giant sign makes it hard to miss! There is also extra street parking towards the residential side if the lot is full. I believe that they usually get their shipment of new plants in store on Wednesdays and I love coming in on those days and seeing all the different beauties that come in. The number 1 thing is that none of the plants I've bought here have ever had any unwanted bugs/pests. All of the plants are in great health and ready to thrive in a new home! I think that the plants are very reasonably priced, which makes it easy for you to grab a couple succulents and house plants... and then a locally made ceramic planter... and you need to grab a little bag of soil to repot and everything adds up. With that said, I've never regretted a day that I spent a little bit too much at A Succulent Day. Coming here is one of my favorite forms of self-care. read more

Ooooooooh so cute!!!! Cheers to Martha, the amazing owner of this little shoppe! She was so kind to answer questions, and we had an amazing little chat. I think the thing I was MOST excited about upon entry was ALL. THE. AMAZING. POTS. that this shoppe has! I was kicking myself, because I had just settled on some lackluster pots the day before. UGH! Well, I guess that means that it's time for more plants! The selection is vast, and she has this little place dressed head to toe! Plants, Pots, and more! The prices are awesome compared to a few other places I have gone to. Right now they are only letting 3 customers in at once since it is on the small side - so WINDOW SHOP and get excited for what you will see upon entry. I live way too close to this place and it is going to be dangerous! :) Amazing work Martha, can't wait to grow our friendship & plantship! read more

A very cute store with a beautiful variety of plants. The employees were kind, knowledgeable, and offered assistance quickly. Prices are a little bit hefty but worth it for the experience and advice given by the staff. Highly recommend this store if you looking for unique succulents, cactus, etc. read more

Cute cute cute! I'm kicking myself because I had a ton of great pictures that I put on IG and then forgot to put on here and then deleted! Silly me. But that's just more reason for you to go yourself and patronize this beautiful shop. I had a chance to meet Martha, the lovely owner. You could tell that she was passionate about plants, her customers and her shop. This tiny store is connected to Lit and Co. so that's a huge bonus. But the itty bittyness just adds to this place's punch. So many incredible plants and planters. And not just succulents. Huge fiddle leaf figs and ferns and palms. Each one a beautiful green with shiny leaves. There are also tons of pots, each one unique and cute. A Succulent Day offers lots of planting materials and tools and will patiently instruct you on how to take care of your plant baby. Brave the State St. construction and patronize this great local business. You will not regret it for a second. read more

I'm from California and I'm visiting my friends who moved here. They were on a plant hunt so I accompanied them here, the place is SO cute, the customer service is amazing and the pricing on the pots and plants are great! I impulse bought a cute little pot and a succulent. One of the girls potted it for me and put pebbles on top, when I mentioned I would be taking this back home on a plane, she took the extra step and boxed it up with a lot of tissue. I highly recommend it this plant haven! They don't have a place like this with this good customer service I'm Los Angeles! read more

My daughter and I stopped by yesterday afternoon hoping to have my large glass vase turned into a succulent garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They asked questions about the lighting in the space I intended to place the vase, then advised which of the plants would work best there. Once I chose the plants I wanted, they put everything together for me in my vase. I was very pleased with the end result. read more

This place is everything you could hope for in a plant store. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, offering great advice on any plant you buy. They will pot a plant for you, offer tips on soil and watering, and make great suggestions, without you having to ask for any of that. The selection is great and they change things up relatively frequently. The plants are great, but the people are what makes this place awesome! They only allow in 2-3 customers at a time during COVID since it's a small space, but the short wait will only build your anticipation to interact with these lovely humans! Can't wait to come back and make my house into a jungle. read more

I came across this wonderful little shop via Instagram. Martha, the owner was so welcoming and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the plants. She helped me create a plan of what will go in my house, what would work in what environment and sent me with proper care instructions to ensure the longevity of my plants. Even when I have had questions after the fact, I have been able to send a quick message via Instagram and she sent a fast response! I would hands down recommend her because she's local, she has a passion for her art and she truly cares about matching up people with the best plants for their space. The other awesome thing is that she has a fabulous variety of pots to pair with whatever sweet plants you choose for purchase. While you're there, check out their neighbor Lit & Co. read more
