Taylor could have easily cut bait after the first door but he saw it through to the end and we got the perfect door. I am sure he lost money on the door, but they did it anyway. Much appreciated. By the way, Robbie, the installer was courteous, prompt and professional. Two separate contractors looked at it and immediately said the drill bit lifted the wood fibers and caused the split. Not water. Not "moisture bubbling." Mechanical stress from drilling. The door is bone dry. We live 0.4 miles away. It was transported covered. There has been zero exposure to the kind of water that would cause structural separation. You'd need a flood, not a short drive home. And at the very least, the door would have still been wet. These pictures were taken less than 20 minutes from when the door was picked up. Rather than take responsibility, we were told it "can only be water" and offered to have it "steamed." Steam. For a drilling split. We were actively purchasing three additional doors the same day. Those have now been canceled. We've found another supplier who understands how doors, and accountability, work. Mistakes happen. Refusing to own them is the real issue.

They answered my call right away. I mean, there was actually someone sitting at a desk taking calls, not going to a phone recorder to leave a message. Their estimators were all out in the field but she assured me that they would get back to me after 3 p.m. on a Thursday. Sure enough; I received a call from Dennis, who I believe is the owner of the business. He came out the next day to do an estimate and give me a quote, which was very reasonable. He said he could do the job the following week. He called me the following Tuesday morning and said they were in the middle of a big job, but that they could come out and fit us in between or they'd have to do it the following week. I told him let's go for it. So he and his crew came to the house about an hour later. Picked up the door and re-installed it about 3 hours later. He noticed that our old slider wasn't sliding very well, so he also replaced the rollers on it too! Now it slides like a brand new door.
