Her teacher is so creative and is constantly coming up with new and interesting lesson plans for our one-year-old. It is such a joy to see her mind expanded every day when she walks in the door, and she comes home with amazing new skills and interests (she learned how to sign "more" and "all done" in one day). The teachers and staff are all extremely friendly and engaged with all of the children: they bring in musical instruments that they play for the kids, have all sorts of amazing toys and sensory experiences available to them (water, finger paint, feathers, cold spaghetti, you name it!), and even manage to take them on adventures around the neighborhood, including a recent trip to the Central Street library. Ultimately the staff seem to genuinely care for each and every child and their own unique needs, and our daughter's teacher in particular does a fantastic job of creating an atmosphere of fun and playfulness while also maintaining a sense of calm order to the room, which is a truly key and critical combination for infants. The facility itself is beautiful - very clean and organized while still fostering a sense of exploration, space, and wonder. We especially love the giant indoor playspace for the kids to get their wiggles out rain or shine (there is also an outdoor playground for the children to play in on nice days too). When my husband and I first heard about the cloth diaper policy we were a little skeptical about it, but it hasn't been an issue at all and has been extremely easy! We have enjoyed our experience so much at the Little Green Treehouse and cannot wait to see our daughter continue to grow and learn here for years to come!

The owners and administrators run this center like it is any old business, they do not appear to have any real interest in creating a nurturing environment that allows kids to thrive. Their sole focus is keeping the classrooms full. This disconnect is hard to escape. As just one example, a number of families pulled their kids out at the same time in the fall of 2022 (at least 6, including ours), and I don't believe they asked a single family why they chose to leave. They definitely did not ask us. As long as they have a wait list to pull from, it does not seem to matter whether or how they could serve their kids or staff better. It's truly disheartening. That said, we are forever grateful for some wonderful teachers who are trying their best to do right by the kids. This, despite a lack of internal support that was so bad that many of them vocalized their frustration to parents. It only seemed to be getting worse the longer we were there. If you can find care elsewhere, do it.

The small group makes for good friendships with children of different ages and a great teacher to child ratio. Ana has lesson plans for each month with a special focus for each age group. The kids do tons of crafts and cooking each week and there are also music and dance instructors that come once a week. Its great that there is also a lot of outdoor time all year round with a backyard play area and trips around the neighborhood and to various nearby parks. All of the food is home-made and Ana has gone above and beyond to be accommodating and to learn all she can when we found out about my son's food allergies. I can't say how lucky my family feels that we found Mi Casita to love and teach our kids.

Her company had preferential tie up with Bright Horizons and we enrolled for the maximum (9 hrs a day plan). There was a tour before we enrolled and we were impressed with the professionalism. However, the real wow factor lies in the quality of their teaching personnel. Our son started at Young preschool program and the two teachers were exceptionally good at handling toddlers. They inculcate confidence and learning in a fun environment. As he turned three and moved to pre-school section, the learning methods were attuned to be slightly more regimented, while still giving each kid freedom to explore their individual likes. The pre school teachers were also excellent. They were great with kids, equipped with experience and teaching skill. We owe a lot to the day care for confidence and cognitive development for our son.

On the first day we dropped our daughter off, Lupe made us feel like she was safe and in good hands. Brielle could always get a smile from our daughter and made sure to share all of her accomplishments with us. Brielle also said her laughter would sometimes wake up the other babies... so sorry about that! I always appreciated how Brielle and Lupe always took the time at pick up to describe our daughters day. They would also share observations and things we could look out for at home. Tamera and Sarah rounded out the team in the infant room and contributed the positive environment.

But they go beyond just the standard indoor playground; they offer care (play care, in their terminology) so your children are well cared for whilst you bring home the bacon. Their "playmakers" (it's whimsical; I love it) engage in fun and meaningful play and I love the idea that I could be nearby when my daughter is here but actually get work done. Because I was following their social media, I saw that Little Giggles Speech Therapy was holding a class called First Signs here, which is what has brought me to Itsy Bitsy for now. Itsy Bitsy's facilities are really nice and very clean. When you enter, you walk into the cafe area. There's a limited menu but for coffee drinkers you'll probably find something here! There are a few tables as well. To the right of the door is the co-working space with several desks ready for you to roll up your sleeves and get to work. On the left side of the building is the children's play space, and I think it's a smart way to design the place--it helps keep the distraction down. I'm not sure what the youngest age limit is for play care here. I met a woman who's purchased a membership here and her son is about seven months old; mine is only about four so she may be too little for the place, still. But I'm going to ask when I'm back next week for the signing class, because this is a great concept and I think it would be incredibly useful to be able to come here on my remote workdays and the rates are very reasonable. This business also offers open play times and you can rent for events, so it will be a place for me to keep in mind for birthday parties--though parking seems to be street only, and though at least some of the side streets around here don't appear to require a permit the parking is still limited. I'm just loving the concept of this business and really hope to use it more fully soon, and to see the community that builds here.

Our daughter, Lily grew up at The Goddard School of Skokie, she started there at the age of 14…read moremonths, and she just graduated last month. She's more than ready for Kindergarten. She's smart, curious, artistic, funny, sensitive, and the list goes on and on. Her teachers nurtured her, they cared for her and they loved her all along the way. She sings, acts, draws, paints, plays pretend games, and she learned all these through play. Mary, and Andrew made us feel like family, the entire staff knew our names, and welcomed us with open arms, and smiley faces every morning. We all became family, we made so many wonderful friends along the way, and I don't just mean the children. The parents formed close bonds as well, we had a blast throughout these years, and we've made quite a few memories together.
