I was truly on the fence about hiring a wedding planner. Weddings are expensive, and I wondered if it was an expense we really needed. I work full time, though, and while my daughter and I were ready to take the bull by the horns and be very involved in the planning, I wanted both her and her fiancé to have an exceptional wedding they would remember for the rest of their lives. I interviewed several planners, but something about Mandi immediately resonated with me. I took the leap, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Mandi started working with us nearly a year in advance and was there every step of the way. She kept us organized, reviewed every detail, and was always just a text, email, or phone call away. She also kept track of vendor contracts, invoices, payments, and deadlines, which took an enormous amount off our plate and made sure nothing was overlooked. Her experience and relationships within the wedding community were invaluable. She knew who to call, how to bring our ideas to life, and connected us with an incredible team of vendors. As the wedding approached and everything kicked into high gear, Mandi made sure nothing fell through the cracks. When it came time to execute everything we had spent so many months planning, Mandi had an exceptional team alongside her. On the wedding day, they were organized, professional, and seemingly everywhere at once, making sure every detail came together exactly as it should. The result was an absolutely spectacular wedding for my daughter and new son in law. The compliments from our guests haven't stopped. They were blown away by the beauty, the attention to detail, and how seamlessly everything came together. But perhaps the greatest gift Mandi gave me was peace of mind. When the wedding day arrived, I didn't have to manage a hundred moving pieces. I got to simply be the mother of the bride, to be present, take it all in, and watch two people I love have the wedding we had all worked so hard to create. That was priceless. If you're on the fence about hiring a planner like I was, hire Mandi. She was worth every penny, and knowing what I know now, I would choose her again without hesitation. Thank you, Mandi, for helping us create a wedding that our daughter, son in law, and entire family will remember forever. read more

I got married in 2020, yes during the pandemic. Why? Well my dad's been battling cancer and so has my husbands step-father. It was the right thing to do because at the end of the year my husbands grandfather passed away, we are so fortunate that he made our wedding. With that said, planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is next level. Luckily, I had Emily from a sparkling event by my side every step of the way. Emily was literally a God send. From the minute I got engaged (before the pandemic) to planning all the details, Emily was there answering all my questions and handling tough things like discrepancies with vendors and making sure things got done in a timely manner. She was my go to when I was having a breakdown as so many crazy things happened during the planning process that I was going to write a memoir. But when the day came, and I looked all around me, it was worth it. I got to marry my husband knowing that all the blood sweat and tears Emily and I had endured was priceless and I am forever grateful for her support and her let's get it done attitude. I highly recommend a sparkling event for your next event whatever it may be, if they can weather the storm during 2020, they can definitely handle anything. read more

I was lucky, because my future daughter-in-law hired Mandi for her November wedding in Carmel Valley, CA. Mandi managed the rehearsal dinner that we hosted for our son and his bride. Having a destination event, required that I have a local and experienced person working with me. Mandi was perfect, as she had insight into the bride's preferences, yet worked with me as the host. She managed the venue staff, the photographer, florist, and decorating details. I was able to ship supplies directly to her and she handled all the details. The winery garden dinner for 45 was flawless! Most impressive was the personal service and quick replies during the planning and organizing. She's a kind and generous person who happens to be an amazing professional event planner! read more

A Sparkling Event - Setup before guests arrive - all is ready! - Wedding Planning Near Me - Monterey, California

The best advice I can give a bride is... hire Emily with A Sparkling Event. I will admit, I originally didn't think I needed a wedding planner but my venue required it. We interviewed a few companies and by far ASE was the best. Emily has a calming energy and can make even the most stressful situations better. She was vital to our wedding especially since we are from out of town. I'm so grateful for Emily as she was able to fulfill my vision and make the most memorable wed! THANKS EMILY!! read more

I hired A Sparkling Event for wedding coordination services for my October wedding this year. I would have loved to hire Mandi for full wedding planning services; however, my budget was completely inflexible. Cautiously optimistic, I decided to plan my wedding with support from A Sparkling Event. Mandi and her wonderful team set me up with an online planning tool and a complete list of suggested vendors. Once I got the ball rolling, planning wasn't as daunting as I thought it would be and knowing that I could reach out to Mandi and Emily anytime with questions or concerns put me at ease. About six weeks before my wedding, check ins with the team became more regular and eventually I turned everything I had planned over to A Sparkling Event. Mandi and her team confirmed with all my vendors, coordinated with the venue, created a day of timeline, and essentially offered any additional support that I needed to make sure we were ready for the big day (as ready as one can realistically be). At our rehearsal, Mandi made sure we felt confident about the schedule of events for the next day and even created a cheat sheet, so we knew where everybody needed to be and when. It was a total life saver for our large and distractible wedding party. On the day of our wedding, I felt incredibly calm knowing that, at that point, I had done everything I could, and the rest was in Mandi's capable hands. Our wedding went off without a hitch, or if things did go wrong, I never knew about it, which is ultimately the best outcome you can ask for! Thank you, Mandi and Emily, - you two are the best! read more

I am at a loss for words with your review, Mandi. You were so far above and beyond what I ever thought a planner provided for their clients. From the 3 hour phones calls and not jumping off until every last question was answered, to fully handling the overwhelming amount of items that our venue required, to coming up with creative ways to get what we needed, to finding ways to save us money on our contracts without us even asking (and when it ultimately creates more work for you!!). We would have been so lost without you. You 100% were our fairy god mother throughout the entire process. You were worth every single penny and then some. Just know the insane amount of work and heavy lifting did not gone unnoticed. Every bride and groom should benefit from having a Mandi in their corner! You are such a great listener, you're assertive and take initiative, and you're so knowledgeable. You were meant for this job. Thank you thank you thank you for all of your guidance and for tackling the major items (all of the vendor coordination) and the smallest of tasks (grabbing us all champagne before we walked out, not letting my forget my veil for sunset photos, etc., etc., etc.!). It made our lives so much easier and enabled us to focus on the wedding weekend, each other, and our loved ones. You are such a gift. If you are a bride or groom seeking a wedding planner I promise you will not regret hiring Mandi for a second. read more

This is a groom's perspective. It may be unusual for a groom to review a wedding planner but Mandi was just that good. As my wife mentioned in her review, we experienced a bad "Carmel" wedding planner and came across Mandi only weeks before my wedding. My wife and I were doing much of the wedding planning ourselves and initially thought we'd use Mandi as a "standby". Ultimately, Mandi became an absolute integral part of our wedding process. I met Mandi the day before my wedding (I live in San Diego but had a Carmel wedding). During this meeting, with a million things running through my head, I mumbled to myself about still needing to call the musician. Mandi heard this and said to me "I already called him". It was at that moment I realized Mandi was capable of taking a tremendous load off my wife and I that had been suffocating us for the last two months. Mandi did exactly that, everything, from the moment we met her all the way until the end of the reception. She was our saving grace and she was the one person that truly allowed my wife and I to fully enjoy our day. Mandi kept surprising us. The way she decorated the courtyard was amazingly beautiful and incorporated a unique piece of my wife and I, the way she set up the wedding reception (at Christopher's on Lincoln) and our must-have ice cream bar along with the special labeled bottles of beer my father-in-law made in his Cleveland basement, and I have no idea how she pulled this off, but she decorated the honeymoon suite for the arrival of my new bride and I. In addition, Mandi worked well with my mother and girlfriends of my wife who all pitched in to help. Mandi's professionalism and knowledge allowed me to focus on the one thing that was most important to me, my beautiful wife. I can't thank Mandi enough for that. She really made a special day truly great! read more

Mandi was an absolute godsend. I reached out to her about six months prior to my wedding. My first impressions of Mandi were that she was a fantastic listener, very knowledgeable (rattled of prices of chair costs, etc), organized, and action oriented. When my husband and I met Mandi in person, she was incredibly organized (had a binder full of our wedding details) and we knew we were in good hands! She did a terrific job taking the stress / logistics out of my hands and managed the vendors during crunch time. My photographer even commented how wonderful Mandi was without me even asking. When you get unsolicited compliments like that, you know that she must have made a great impression. Mandi did a great job making recommendations on our timeline. We seriously had no clue what the appropriate flow for the wedding should be and I was so exhausted of making decisions so it was awesome to have someone guiding us through the process. I'm kind of a control freak but Mandi made me so comfortable and every time I asked her any type of question she was on top of it. The day of, I was incredibly relaxed and was so happy to enjoy the day and really focus on my husband and having fun with my friends and family. I didn't have to pick up a phone or manage any of the logistical aspects of my wedding. Mandi went above and beyond and stayed at my wedding until the very end. Herding 30 drunk people into a shuttle is not an easy job, but Mandi was always smiling and had an awesome attitude throughout the entire day. Mandi went above and beyond my expectations. Instead of having my florist stay and clean up and charging me another arm and a leg, Mandi offered to help out and clean up the flowers. She also left my husband and I a treat in our room, which was incredibly thoughtful. I would highly recommend Mandi for your wedding day. She is an awesome wedding planner :) read more

I've been meaning to write this review quite awhile now. I hired Mandi to help me plan my wedding back in October 2017. She wasn't exactly cheap, but I think you get what you pay for when it comes to most wedding stuff and worth every penny! I realized I was way in over my head because I lived out of state at the time and was having trouble staying organized and on top of vendors. And of course there was the typical day-of snafus and vendor miscommunications, but Mandi was on top of all of it and kept everything running smoothly! My husband and I are both hypoglycemic and she made sure we were fed as well. The amazing part was I had little idea how much "stuff" she had to fix until my parents told me about all the things that went wrong long after the fact. It's been over a year and I'm still hearing new anecdotal stories from my mom, which just shows how good she really is at what she does. Our special day turned out perfect and we could not have done it with out her! read more

We hired Mandi as our day of wedding coordinator and we're so glad we did! Mandi was great to work with before the big day and exceeded our expectations on the day of. Our venue wasn't typical and we had a lot of decor to set up in a short amount of time but Mandi handled everything perfectly. Not the smallest detail was missed. As the bride I was able to fully relax and enjoy the celebration. It wasn't until after the wedding that I could fully appreciate Mandi's attentiveness and professionalism behind the scenes. My mother and other guests told me stories of how much she helped out. Like how Mandi ran after some guests when they forgot their favors and how she protected some artwork from a few tipsy guests without anyone being the wiser. I had no idea any of these things were going on, truly the work of a great day of coordinator. read more

I'm not sure where to begin. Perhaps by saying that Mandi was not available for our event date, and referred us to one of her associate planners, Janeen. That's where the train went off the tracks. Janeen certainly has her strengths. She's very friendly, and is quite creative. You can tell she really loves the visual element of designing a beautiful wedding. She also has a short list of great vendors in the area, which is why we got a local planner despite living in SF. A Sparkling Event certainly delivered on that front, and we got a great photographer, florist, bakery, etc. Despite having already selected a venue, I invested in the full planning package, mostly because I work long hours, my parents weren't involved, and we had a 7 month timeline. The service was expensive, and fell short in a number of critical areas: 1) Budget. We discussed it very clearly early on. Janeen said it wouldn't be a problem. A couple of months in, after getting a pretty expensive floral quote, I started adding up what we committed to and we were tracking at least 20% over. She never raised the point herself, and made excuses when we did. 2) Proactive engagement. I felt like Janeen didn't tune into our wedding until 4 weeks out. There's a [much cheaper] package for month-of, but that's not what I paid for. Until the final month, I had to be the one to ask if she'd followed up with vendors, what we needed to tackle next, etc. Janeen treats the process as if you've been married before and know what to do, and she's there to answer questions along the way. There was absolutely no guidance in the process. 3) Details. We all know this is where the devil is. The issue was pervasive, but as an example, we were getting 'competitive quotes' for services that weren't the same (e.g. 6 hours vs 4). I had to go through everything with a fine-toothed comb to make sure there weren't any errors, because there were so many throughout the processes. 4) Communication. Janeen, in general, isn't a great communicator. She'll go dark for weeks and then send 6 emails on different topics in the span of an hour on a Thursday morning. I asked her if we could consolidate, and perhaps track all the items in motion in one thread consistently, and she could just never adapt. 5) Problem solving. One example: Combing through one of the contracts, it became clear that not all of our guests could fit on a single shuttle, and she hadn't planned for multiple trips. I asked Janeen to work with the transportation company to come up with a solution, and she came back with an email asking me to reach out to each of my attendees to understand if they would be driving themselves. Rather than making 45 phone calls, I just wrote a schedule that made one extra trip and sent it to her. We struggled with Janeen early and often. I had a call with Mandi early on to give feedback, and started using her as an additional resource when Janeen wasn't delivering. Overall, Mandi was far more capable, but also incredibly defensive of Janeen. I didn't feel valued as a customer, from the second time we spoke until the last, when I gave overall feedback following the event. My single biggest regret from my wedding, without question, is not switching planners after that initial phone call. Our wedding went smoothly in spite of, not because of, Janeen. I can't in good conscious recommend this service to anyone. I'm sure Mandi is a great planner, but she simply didn't put the customer first in the way she handled our feedback throughout the process, and didn't offer to make it right in any way. I couldn't be more disappointed with the service, and certainly don't feel like I got my money's worth. read more

We could not have had a better experience with the A Sparkling Event team, specifically Mandi. We got married in Carmel last weekend and it was the best weekend of our lives. We live in New York City and did not know most local vendors, etc. Mandi was a godsend - she recommended top-notch vendors, she was on top of planning everything and staying organized, she handled unforeseen events (because there always will be some) with patience and efficiency, and she went above and beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend Mandi enough - she is everything that you want in a wedding planner and I can't imagine our wedding without her. I was not stressed at all during our entire wedding weekend (consisting of multiple events with all out of town guests) and it is all because of Mandi and her team. Thank you!!!! read more

A Sparkling Event - Mandy is the best! - Wedding Planning Near Me - Monterey, California

There are many things that you will doubt in the months, weeks, and days leading up to your wedding. But I can confidently say that hiring Mandi Nack and her extraordinary team over at A Sparkling Event was not one of them. Mandi TRULY gave us the wedding of our dreams. She heard every wish, hope, and desire we expressed and saw to it personally that the things we held most sacred were honored and intact on our special day. She helped us find and hire impeccable vendors who were local to the area and on the day of the wedding she took care of EVERYTHING. We had a more beautiful, fun and love filled wedding than I ever could've imagined. Our family and friends (and strangers on the internet) are still raving about it; and I believe in my heart of hearts that none of this would have been possible without her. I HONESTLY cannot endorse her enough! So, from one (former) bride and groom to another, hire A Sparkling Event. You will not regret it. Mandi - We can never thank you enough for all you did for us. Mandi Nack was our wedding planner for our recent wedding at The Lodge in Pebble Beach. My wife Janice and I have been working with Mandi for about 6 months and she is undoubtedly the best wedding planner on the planet! Mandi first of all is quite personable, friendly and professional. Mandi takes the time to get to know you as a couple and as people. We are not just clients to her. We were made to feel like family by Mandi and her highly professional team. Mandi took the time to understand our history, our desires for a destination wedding in Pebble Beach (Janice and I live in the Seattle, WA area) and what things we wanted in the wedding to make it a success for us. From the first time we met Mandi, we felt at ease with her and it is obvious that Mandi is only concerned with providing you with the best wedding experience you can have, Mandi is well known in the Monterey Peninsula and her network of vendors (Officients, Singers, Musicians, Venue Management, Caterers, Chefs, DJs, Decorators etc. is quite extensive. It is obvious that all the vendors think quite highly of Mandi and her connections allowed us to have the best vendors available for our special day. Mandi chose 6 possible venues in the Carmel, Carmel Valley and Pebble Beach areas for us to look at. But she wasn't pushy at all. She allowed us to savor each venue and determine for ourselves what kind of place we wanted to get married in. We eventually settled for the Lodge at Pebble Beach. But at each venue, her relationship with the venue management was quite apparent. Once we settled on the Lodge, Mandi and her team worked tirelessly for months on every conceivable detail. Mandi is always available for questions anytime of the day or night. At the day of the wedding, Mandi and her team are there, helping with every detail. Mandi is tireless in trying to give her clients the best wedding experience ever. Every detail is looked after. Every I dotted every T crossed. On the wedding day, you are relaxed as you can be since Mandi and her team are taking care of everything. We had an awesome experience at our wedding and much of it is due to our new friend, Mandi! Mandi's team is loyal and dedicated and we loved all of them. Janice and I highly recommend Mandi and her team. As I said, they are family and we cannot thank them enough for a marvelous, magical and professional wedding planning experience!! read more

Ok, when I heard I was working with a sparkling event coordinator I took a deep exhale lol these folks know how to coordinate a wedding! Mandi and her team at A Sparkling Event did were invaluable to our wedding! We hired Mandi as a Day-of-Coordinator, but her guidance and services went above and beyond. We met with her several times in the months prior to wedding to make sure that we were on track. When my husband and I were feeling overwhelmed in the final weeks before the wedding, we were calmed and comforted by her professionalism, positive attitude, and the knowledge that she and her team would do a great job! Our venue did not include any services, so the Sparkling Event team was essential to setting up and making sure that everything went as planned. Amy and Andrew, the on-site coordinators for the day, transformed the empty room that our reception was held in, into a beautiful setting that we couldn't even have imagined. Amy made sure that every detail was just right and that my husband and I were comfortable throughout the day. Andrew even took on the role of MC, when the person that we hired left early! When we first started planning our wedding, my husband and I thought hiring a wedding coordinator may be too much of a strain on the budget, and we considered not hiring one. We were so wrong! Hiring A Sparkling Event was one of the smartest decisions that we made and I can't imagine our wedding without their excellent services! read more

I have had the privilege of working with Mandi at a wedding in Carmel where I was the hired photographer (manuelortegaphoto.com). She is amazing at her job and if I wasn't already married, she would definitely be the person I would hire to plan my wedding. Mandi has a magical way to bring your wedding day vision to life. When we got engaged, we were looking to have a destination wedding. We knew we needed someone to work with who was knowledgable of the wedding industry and dependable. Our first call with Mandi, we immediately picked up on her professionalism and reliability. These were two things that were most important to us in addition to credibility, which Mandi was. With only six months to plan a destination wedding, she was ready to get to work and helped us adapt to any new or unexpected changes to our wedding plans. Mandi worked within our budget and kept things real with us. Having Mandi with us at venue, rental and floral appointments was extremely beneficial. She asked all the right questions we wouldn't have known to ask at ourselves. The entire wedding process is already extremely overwhelming and it was a relief to know we had someone in our corner helping us out - someone who is familiar with the ropes. She gracefully conducted thorough research, priced out vendors and coordinated with all vendors for the day of. Having Mandi and her staff available on your big day is when you witness your ROI (return on investment). While you and the rest of the wedding party are getting ready for the day, she is at the ceremony/reception site making sure there are no hiccups and everything is running smoothly. It is inevitable that something WILL happen the day of your wedding - it happened to us. Mandi, our wedding coordinator, who was well versed with our vision and knew all the contract details because she had been involved since the first day of planning, quickly resolved a problem/miscommunication between what was contracted and what was delivered for our lighting set-up.This is something that could have easily been missed or ignored if we had worked with a "day of coordinator", someone who wasn't involved from the first day of planning (if the venue you select even offers one). Working with Mandi was the foundation that brought our dream wedding to life. To this day, we look back and know it couldn't have gone the way it did without her. The only thing we regret is not taking a picture with her on our special day. Mandi, many thanks for the amazing job! We loved working with you and will be sure to refer all newly engaged couples to you. Thank you! -Vanessa and Bobby Camarillo read more

Mandi was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was helpful in providing insight to decorations, set up of venue, purchasing flowers and any little hiccup that came around. It put our minds at ease to know she was there to help us find solutions to problems that occurred during the wedding process. On the day of the wedding she executed the set up all of our decorations perfectly. It was so beautiful and we got lots of compliments on the decor and setup. She went above and beyond our expectations. She did an amazing job of bringing our dream wedding and vision come true. She even helped with the clean up of the Venue when some of the wedding party flaked. We met Mandi through a mutual friend of ours, and she is so easy to talk to. Mandi is very friendly, and goes out of her way to make sure people are comfortable. While planning for our wedding day we knew right away that we wanted a wedding coordinator. We both knew that Mandi would be our woMAN for the job. We met with Mandi several times before the big day, and each time Mandi was extremely professional, and was helpful with suggesting different vendors and decoration options. When it came to the big day we were both very comfortable knowing that Mandi had our backs. She helped us with all of our floral arrangements, and made boutonnieres and boutiques for us and the wedding party. Mandi even went the extra step, and made arrangements for our rehearsal dinner as well! Everything turned out so beautiful, and I was amazed to see the finished product. Everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding, and we own that to Mandi. I know we could not have done it without her help. Also she loaned us her husband as our bartender, and he did a knock-out job as well! : ) We strongly recommend using Mandi for any event planning you have in the future. read more

Mandi was fantastic! She was very professional, and has a friendly demeanor that makes the process painless (while also charming all of our wedding guests!). She was a life-saver and there's no way we could've pulled off the day without her. We enlisted the help of A Sparkling Event after realizing that we were way over our heads. We had selected venues (ceremony at The Mission and lunch reception at Carmel Valley Ranch), but only had 3 months to pull it together. Since I reside in SF (with a fiance abroad at the time, and arriving only a couple of months prior to the wedding), it was a challenge to plan and coordinate meetings in an efficient manner. Selecting local vendors that could work within our budget was also a daunting task, since we had to rely solely on information we could find on the internet. I found A Sparkling Event on a list of preferred vendors for Carmel Valley Ranch and Mandi took over from there. She helped coordinate and plan prior to the wedding day and was on site with an assistant the day of. A few gems to note: - From my first consultation call, Mandi was friendly, informative and extremely reasonable in regards to fee. - Other than selecting the ceremony and reception venue (we secured them prior to contacting Mandi), Mandi found all the other vendors through her large network of local connections (folks I would've never found on my own!) - Mandi had extensive experience working with our venues. - Mandi understood my desired aesthetic and worked tirelessly to achieve them, all while being very sensitive to our budget restrictions. There were a few times that a very particular item that I wanted was not available due to vendor unavailability or budget restrictions. In other times, I had a concept, but no suggestion as to how to make it come to fruition. In all cases, Mandi always had design suggestions that worked with the budget. I recommend Mandi wholeheartedly! read more

I found Mandi at the last minute after having a bad experience with another planner, and I could not be happier. My husband and I live in San Diego and planned a Carmel wedding. We were finding much of what we needed to do was very difficult from a distance and that there were many things we simply didn't know and for which we needed guidance. Mandi and I spoke on the phone several times during the week and met for the first time at the reception venue just before the rehearsal. By that time my husband and I had done most everything ourselves, but still needed to wrap up a lot of little details and had many, many, many questions about how to do so. Mandi is a superb listener. She understood everything I asked of her. I never had to repeat a detail or name. She helped me understand what I needed to do to accomplish those last details. She executed everything perfectly and even went beyond what we asked for to make it better! She was very calm and nearly invisible, yet ever present like an invisible hand. I had become very stressed leading up to the wedding, but was able to relax as soon as I met Mandi. She made my wedding day a pleasure as I was able to delegate everything that remained to be done to her and actually enjoy being a bride. My husband felt the same. At one point near the end of our reception, I asked him if we should let her go home and he said he was afraid he'd panic if she wasn't there anymore! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! read more

Mandi and her team were AMAZING! I hired Mandi as a month of coordinator and she was helpful from the start. We spoke a few times before the big day and she answered the multitude of questions I had, as well as responding to emails along the way. I met with Mandi the day before my wedding and she was FABULOUS - not only did we go over ever little detail, but she offered to deliver my guest baskets for me AND helped to set up my rehearsal dinner (which I later discovered was a lifesaver because the restaurant had not set it up properly!). She ran my rehearsal with a 23 person wedding party like a pro and with a smile! On the wedding day, she took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Doesn't hurt that she is a sweetheart, too. I would HIGHLY recommend her, best money I spent!!! read more

My mom found Mandi for our late September wedding at the Monterey Plaza after realizing that we were going to be over our heads with planning our whole wedding on our own. And I am extremely happy that she did. I honestly don't know what we would have done without Mandi. And I truly mean that. She went above and beyond our expectations helping us to find many of our vendors and setting up and attending multiple meetings. She was there every step of the way for ANY questions that I had. My mom found most of our decor for the wedding and Mandi stored almost all of it for us at her office so that we wouldn't be overwhelmed bringing it all down at once for the wedding. Mandi really worked her butt off for us the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. She had schedules printed to give out to our wedding party and families at the rehearsal and set up taxis/ubers from the Plaza to the rehearsal dinner site. She even drove some people herself! I didn't have to worry about a thing. Multiple people commented on how great she was. And the day of the wedding I trusted her to do everything necessary to get vendors there on time, the ceremony and rehearsal venues set up, and literally everything else that needed to be done. Allowing me to really relax and enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids. I truly wasn't worried about something not getting done. If anything happened during the time we were getting ready I was none the wiser, which is exactly how it should be. The whole weekend was incredible. And to just top off the night, when my husband and I got back from the after party our hotel room was decorated with petals, candles, and some decor from the wedding. There were also two slices of our wedding cake, dessert from our dessert bar at the reception, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne with a note from Mandi congratulating us. We were in awe. We will honestly miss our planning meetings with Mandi. Highly highly recommend her services! read more

I hired Mandi from A Sparkling Event to put together my Mom's upscale 80th birthday party. We are not from the Monterey area and hired Mandi close to the date of the event. We trusted her to handle every part of the event including choosing the venue- all sight unseen by us. She aced it. She was patient when we shifted gears continuously with entertainers & music. She went above and beyond on small details that we didn't even think about, asking if certain ones would be acceptable to us (decorations and special touches in my Mom's hotel room) and others knowing she didn't need to ask and just going the extra mile. For some reason, we didn't go ahead with a professional photographer, maybe thinking so many people would have their phone. Without saying a word she brought a professional photographer! It was a little while after the party started that I noticed this person with a camera and asked who he was. She explained- no charge, she just thought it was really important! He was professional, personable and very talented. What can I say about a planner that saves me from my own mistakes and takes the cost on herself. She never asked me to pay for the photographer- he was complimentary. I think this one step on her part shows her commitment to making the event the best it can be period. She is upbeat, cheerful, friendly and patient. The entire event, was phenomenal and surpassed my expectations. Now months later you can only imagine how valuable those photos are. Thank you Mandi, I wish every vendor was like you. read more

Choosing Mandi Nack at A Sparkling Event to assist in the planning of my bridal shower & wedding was the best decision I made! I originally hired her to just do the day of decorating & keep everyone in line, but I ended up planning & bouncing ideas off of her for over a year. My husband was definitely a hands-off groom & my maid of honor was my younger sister who was still in school, so it was great to have someone to just brainstorm with & try out ideas with. She attended multiple meetings, made all our flower arrangements, helped set up a bridal workshop day to get favors & other décor made & was there on the rehearsal & big day to keep everyone in line. No matter how small or big your event may be, I would definitely recommend A Sparkling Event for your next event. I know we plan to use Mandi for ALL future events & are actually in the middle of planning a small birthday party for my grandma read more
