Did a two day skilz class with a buddy up in Truckee and loved it. Helped me better understand the trails and how to approach various features and bike more competently and safely. At first we didn't quite get the parking lot work, but then we came to understand the balance and the underpinning of the skills and their usefulness out on the trail. Easily improved my confidence and capabilities for cross country trail riding. I would recommend A Single Track mind to just about anyone.

I was recently near Truckee, CA for 8 days with my girlfriend. She had expressed interest in…read moremountain biking... and considering I'm heavily into mountain biking (11+ years) and want to mountain bike with her, I didn't want to mess up this opportunity! I called every mountain biking shop in Truckee. I decided to go with Dirt Gypsy Adventures and a private mountain biking clinic and mountain bike ride with our instructor (Mark). I couldn't have asked for it to go any better... my girlfriend learned a ton (and I learned a handful of things too) and it helped her feel more confident on the trails. At first, I didn't understand how we could spend 2 hours learning how to ride a bike - I quickly realized what I didn't know and how patient Mark was. I particularly loved his analogies and the way he articulated these concepts. We also rented a bike for the following morning and went out by ourselves, too. She's now riding with friends in the Bay Area this weekend and we've looked at a couple bikes for her. Mark, our instructor, did a great job - lifetime of experiences racing and teaching. I couldn't have asked for more. The whole process facilitated by Ryan went extremely smooth. Thank you!

Upon arrival my bike was ready to go in 5 minutes. We did a quick fit and, this is clutch, they spent time looking at my planned route and gave some feedback. For my return, same took about 5 minutes. The bike itself was in great condition.

Even though they now focus a bit more on multi-day tours, Jeff sent an insanely nice and informative response about the options in the area. This was super valuable because it was really difficult to find information on my own on the internet. To top it off, Jeff also recommended some alternative activities that might be fun. Communicating with Jeff was prompt, professional, and informative.

After choosing the location and date/time for Paddle Board the company got in contact with me in a short amount of time via email with all the information I needed. Chris responded to all of my questions very fast as well. What to say about Chris? She is fantastic! Very patient, calm, in touch with nature and knows what she is doing. She is the perfect instructor and I felt safe, comfortable and never in a rush! While paddling her husband joined us and both of them were friendly and provided lots of information on the area. When the lesson was over they gave me tips of where to go and I ended up at Sand Harbor (State Park) where i played volleyball on the beach and got a nice tan by a wonderful and breathtaking beach! Thank you Le Grand Adventure for the unforgettable experience! Wish you much success! Valeria

She was our captain and kept us on the best course for an awesome experience. OMG, we all had so much fun, got wet laughed, dipped in the calm water, then wooshed around the rapids, repeatedly. The trip was from Boca to Floriston with class I-III rapids. They also have a photographer who captured just about everything. I highly recommend this company. We will definitely do this again. We made reservations for 1:15 and got there at 12:30. We checked in and pretty soon we had more people show up. A young man, his name is Adam, started us off by handing out life jackets and helmets. Adam then told us how to put them on and telling us a little about the rafting. We then headed down to the River and he then started telling us about safety issues. At the end he started separating everyone into groups of 4 and 6. Since it was just my neighbor and I we were very lucky to get not just Adam, as our guide, but his girlfriend Reese(who is also a guide) and Reese's sister. It was a prefect day, no wind, it was hot and all I wanted to do was jump in. We started out, got a little ways down and we were able to jump in. Water was cold but felt really good. I went to get back in and the 2 girls knew exactly what they were doing just hoisted me in. Very impressive. We went down some really good rapids and Adam was very good on directing us on when to paddle and when to stop paddling. At one of the rapids we stopped at the bottom to wait for the rest of the boats in our group to make sure everyone got thru safely. One boat turn on its side and everyone fell out except the guide. Adam had already told us what to do if something like this should happen. So my neighbor and I put out our oars and pulled one person close to the boat and hoisted her in. We felt like pros! We had a really good time. Everyone was so friendly. My neighbor and I are already planning another trip! Sorry I don't have any pictures. I couldn't take my phone with me. There was a photographer there and he was on the shore at different places. At the end you could pictures if you would like
