The retreat was expensive, especially since the retreat room was crowded and they served you cheap pizza each evening.

i just finished my first beginners quilting class here with janelle and honestly really loved it. i…read morealmost didn't go to my first class because i was so out of my comfort zone (i have a super basic sewing machine and zero experience, like didn't even know what a quarter inch seam was!!) im so glad i went. the staff are genuinely kind and helpful, and my classmates were great too which made it so fun and enjoyable. janelle was especially patient and encouraging the whole time. i work a lot, so having something creative like this has been such a nice mental break. i'm still kind of shocked i actually finished my first quilt!! the shop is awesome -it has beautiful fabrics and everything you could need, i've already gone back a few times. they offer tons of classes that run all the time and a really great rewards program which is a nice bonus. highly, highly recommend checking this shop out. SHOP LOCAL!

I had to purchase the required fabrics to finish the kit from another source, This is fraud! I contacted the shop and they refused to assist me or even reply. In the dozens of years I have shopped at quilt shops, I have never had an experience like this. I highly recomment you shop elsewhere - don't be sorry like I am!

This was maybe one of the worst experiences in retail I've ever had. The one-star review is…read morespecifically because of an employee named Magdalena. I came in today to exchange some items I had bought for my wife's birthday. Because I lost the receipt, I had to take 60% in credit of the sales price. No problem-- it's not their fault I lost the receipt, it's mine. But what was so glaringly one-star worthy was how painful the entire exchange was because of Magdalena's demeanor. From the sighing, to the glaring-- not only was she not friendly, she was rude! Consider saying please or thank you if you work in retail. Or if you're that unhappy working there: quit! I can't believe this is a Christian-owned business. It's quite baffling! Furthermore, they told me they couldn't take an item back because they didn't sell it anymore (meaning: it wasn't populating on their iPad). Instead of doing some due diligence or giving a consumer the benefit of the doubt, they'd made their decision: we're not taking this back! I literally had to walk all the way to the back of the store and grab the item which they still sell (pic attached) in order for them to even consider they were wrong. Oops! No "sorry about that", no "oh you're right, our fault!" Just a dull look on her face obviously disgruntled because I'm making her do "extra work." Really-- either be happy at your job OR just quit. Don't suffer others because of your lack of happiness. I had $5 left on my gift card which I gave to the customer behind me because I'm never coming back here again, I'll go out my way to go to Michael's. Awful job, Hobby Lobby.

I came here to buy black paint, matte liquid topcoat, (I painted a layer using bleach on just the…read moretop, so the topcoat was used to preserve it) as well as cute gold knobs, to help makeover this coffee table, (in the attached picture) and I love how it turned out! Horrible customer service experience tonight with Lisa and the manager on duty. The only positive…read moreemployee was Emerson, who genuinely tried to help but was told by Lisa and the manager not to assist us. It's sad to think of other customers having to go through this kind of treatment. I came in around 8pm and at 8:30pm asked to have fabric cut--30 minutes before closing. I was told they could only cut three fabrics due to it being so close to closing time. We had wanted 6 fabrics cut but decided not to push the issue. Lisa cut two, then stopped early to begin closing down the store. At 8:53pm--still before closing--she refused to cut the last fabric, claiming it would take "5 to 10 minutes" to cut one piece of 3-yard fabric. That excuse is absurd. Measuring and cutting fabric is basic service, and there was still time left before the store officially closed. When Emerson stepped up to help, she was directly told by Lisa and the manager not to serve us. This was after we had already spent about $150 on fabric and other items. Refusing service to paying customers who are well within store hours is unacceptable. I understand not wanting to keep staff past closing, but when a customer is in the store before closing time, they should receive service until that time--not be dismissed early. Tonight's interaction was dismissive, unprofessional, and damaging to Michael's reputation for customer service. I will be escalating this to Michael's corporate management, because I believe the company would not condone the way this store treated its customers.

There was an amazing selection of clays I was looking for. The staff was helpful and friendly which…read moremade my time easier here. I saved a ton on this trip shoutout to the coupons available!
