Trustworthy, knowledgeable and capable. Also didn't leave any debris after he was done. Love that! 2 yrs ago. Gary of Sterling locksmith is the owner and such a wonderful human being. He is a consummate professional, available when you call, shows up on time & commits to doing the work at the same price quoted over the phone without seeing the project, and very amenable. I highly recommend Gary's service, he gives such a personal touch and he really cares about his customers. His wealth of knowledge is also shared, unlike some other professionals in the industry who just come, they serve & they go after their paid but not Gary. He looks for the welfare of those he serves by giving recommendations, offering solutions that are cost-effective and complementing that with such great service, I would highly recommend using Gary and Sterling locksmith always. there's no doubt in my mind that this person & this business are above board and very ethical, he doesn't hold you ransom in a situation where you are in dire need of service.

I needed to have the locks changed for my new office but also I needed to be careful with money…read moresince I lost work during the Covid shutdown. I saw that other people in my building had a variety of locks and I wondered what was best for me. Gary of Sterling Locksmiths responded to my call very quickly. When I explained my situation, he told me that I didn't need the fancy looking locks that others had. He said I needed good quality locks that do the job. When he came to my office and assessed the locks that came with the place and said they were of the highest quality already! I was so relieved to hear this. He suggested that I keep those locks and that I stay with using keys instead of keypads since my operation is still quite small and I can upgrade to keypads later when I have recovered more economically and if I decide to take on more employees. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to see how much he could "up sell". I felt he was an honest, genuine person. I would recommend his service.

I locked my keys and my belongings, in my car. I contacted DBMS Locksmith which serves Lee County…read moreand nearby areas of Southwest Florida. During the initial contact, I was not informed of the price for the services even though an address was provided. I was expecting a range from $100-$250. There was no agreement on a price. The company's description on Google stated that they served the area in which I was located. To my understanding, this meant the city was not out of the limits of where they were willing to provide services. A man showed up ready to work on my vehicle. I stood next to my vehicle and observed him attempting to open my passenger door. He tried the first time with a tool I was not familiar with and could not get it to open. He then proceeded to grab another tool and attempt to pry the door open enough for him to insert a tool into the door. At this point, he was not able to pry the door open while he was inserting the other tool so he asked me for my assistance. I was pushing the tool that was prying the door open while he struggled to insert the other tool into the passenger door. This took about two attempts in which I was also working alongside him. Once the door was open, I asked him for the price of the service and he informed me that he had to make a call to what I assume was his boss. His boss would then be the one responsible for giving me the prize, even though he was not present. He called his boss and his boss informed me that the price would be $345. This price caught me by surprise as it is quite the amount for the service provided. I was aware that due to my own negligence, I would have to pay; however, I did not think this was fair or reasonable. I voiced my concern and asked the boss if we could come to an agreement since the price did not seem fair for the service provided. The boss was not receptive at all to my concerns and was audibly frustrated with my unwillingness to pay quickly. The boss informed me that he expected all the money. As a woman working in a rural town, I was not comfortable arguing with men about money. I transferred the $345 to the boss through zelle. I believe that if I am reaching out to a professional for their professional work, I do not expect myself to be found in a position where I am working alongside the professional to solve the issue, especially when I am paying such a hefty price. The boss's tone was very unprofessional and rude. He sounded audibly frustrated that I was not paying quickly. He was neither understanding or receptive. He gave no explanation foe the price and was unwilling to hear my concerns with the service. As a customer this was very disappointing. I was uncomfortable and felt pressured to send the money quickly. Further, visible dents were left on my car as no precautions were took. For the price, I believe this is very unprofessional. If you want help during an already stressful situation this is not the company to call. They are both predatory and unprofessional.

Today was different--our garage door would not open because the spring that assists the door to open had broken after 15 years, and we could not get our car out for some important appointments. Mike adjusted his schedule to come help me open the garage door so that I could get the door open and our car out, then returned to his regular repair schedule, and returned two hours later to replace our spring for reasonable cost.
