While he did fix my PC the tech was digging all through my files even connected to my server (at my house) via RDP and added his own Trojan horse. Not once did I tell him to use my OS I just wanted the board and CPU to post. I'm seriously contemplating calling the police. Then he sat for a Few hours and copied every MKV and MP4 movie from my PC. Now I have to drive to each of my clients offices and change the RDP password since he had access to all of them. I'm seriously contemplating getting the FBI or my attorney involved read more

I took my PC to them several years ago. They diagnosed the problems and eradicated them. They were exceedingly professional. I have been with them since and have no plans to go elsewhere despite the fact that I relocated to the North Shore. read more

Not many people carry enough cash to pay for a computer repair and I am on Social Security and every time I can save a little money is a big thing. When I noticed the sign that there is an EXTRA charge to use a credit/debit card I walked next door to get cash from the ATM to save a few bucks. Later that evening I was going to file away the receipt and noticed that, even though I paid cash, I was charged the EXTRA FEE! The next day I sent them an e-mail informing them of the error. I am yet to hear back from them! Guess they don't care. If they lack integrity over a few bucks, I wonder where else they try to extract extra fees from their customers. The courtesy of a response along with an apology would have negated the need for this review but since they don't care about customer service, I feel the need to warn others of this practice. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS CAREFULLY! read more

Great experience! I have never used a computer repair place, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very impressed. They quickly diagnosed my problem and repaired it before the day was out. They also returned the used part in the new box so I know the work was done. Everyone was polite and professional. Thanks, A Prompt! I posted this under the wrong address. They have moved to 1539 Lafayette St. Gretna. read more

do not use this shop. they don't listen. they lie repeatedly. when confronted with the completely contradictory statements by the technician versus the "owner", they lie some more instead of trying to make things right. they try to prove the customer wrong instead taking responsibility. i called to discuss the service i needed and asked if they made appointments. good. called back and made an appointment for a specific day. he kept trying to push me to one day earlier. no i want the appointment on the day i stated. bring the computer in the day before, which was done. i asked before giving the computer over to them, do you use solid state backup devices to speed up the back up process. yes. i get a call the next morning - mid morning so they had not even started on it, so much for appointments, trying to upgrade my computer to a solid state drive. sorry but i already have one in there. three times they are trying to upgrade me to windows 10. each time i tell them no, but obviously they don't listen. try to scare me, oh that is not safe on the internet. what do you think they make virus protection software for!!!!!!!!!! so just more attempts to extract money. i get a call at 4:30 pm from the technician. we are backing up your "my documents" folder" but there isn't much in there. yes there is, there is a ton of files and data. can you give me a name of a file or folder. yes. if you don't know where to look for the "my documents" and you are asking now then you have not done any work on the computer all day. oh yeah we have been checking the ram and the hardware. i didn't ask for that to be done. oh we do it anyway. it doesn't take hours for that to happen. don't talk down to me. yeah well, you haven't done anything all day, i am going to come get the computer. i get there and the owner starts saying how there is so much data, it takes forever to backup. when confronted, your tech says there is very little data and you are saying the opposite. your tech last night said you had solid state drives that make backups fast and easy. no comment from the owner on that one so i know he and his tech were lying to begin with. when caught in the lies and told he's been caught he kicks me out of his store. that is not what a professional organization does - professional organizations take responsibility and make it right. if the technician cannot find the "my documents" in the root directory and see that the "pre- installed" my documents folder only contains manufacturer pre-installed folder with little if any data, the company and the technician don't know what they are doing. i get the computer back and the battery is down at 15% so they weren't even bothering to plug it in. more unprofesionalism. read more

I've never used a computer repair place before. I had brought my computer to an out-of-town Staples about a year ago, telling their computer repair "expert" that I was having problems charging my computer. He gave me the news I didn't want to hear - it's the plug attachment in the computer and it would cost me $300-400 to fix. I might as well buy another computer for that price, right?! I wouldn't have brought my laptop to these folks if my roommate wasn't already bringing hers. I figured, what could it hurt? They charge $30 to look, but if you get the repairs done there, they deduct that from the bill. I felt like that was a pretty fair bet, and it actually paid off. Guess what, Staples? It was the power cord! And when all was said and done, the cost to me was seventy bucks. Now I can have access to my yelp messages since I don't have to rely on my work computer. Yippee!!! read more
