Worst nail experience. Woman did sloppy job from start to finish. She cut nails so one end of nail taller than the other end. And both ends of the nails were so pointy you could cut with them. She was going to leave them like that so I took nail filer and filed my own nails. I asked for sheer gel color. They don't have sheer gel colors. Instead of just telling me they don't have any sheer colors , one of the other Asian ladies blurted out a number that is not even the number of a sheer color. After she put cotton ball soaked in polish remover onto nail and wrapped each nail with aluminum foil, she had me stick hands in slot under UV light while she sat there looking at cellphone. She seemed to intentionally smudge nail polish surface. I mean she really does not care. She is sloppy. And she doesn't care. They keep door locked when not expecting anyone. My friend has been coming here for a while to get a full set and pedicure every two weeks. Her nails always look fantastic so when it was time for me to get my nails done for my sisters wedding, I came here to Nyugen. She is excellent I came to weeks before I needed to get them done for the wedding to get a trial done and see how I liked it. I got a full set with hombre gel and a pedicure. My full is precise and stayed on for over two weeks. Nyugen is amazing! It is very hard to find someone who does a very nice full set in the Lehigh Valley. I was not crazy about the pedicure because my heels are always pretty bad and they didn't do anything for the heels and the color didn't last long. But if you're looking for a nice manicure or full set definitely check this place out you will not be disappointed. read more

She filed them weird, no frills, no hot towel, hand cream was watered down and her hands were very rough. She messed up the color on 3 nails and had to redo 2 and just put a thicker layer of top coat on the one . Needless to say every nail smushed off very soon after I left the shop. I was a walk in which I usually don't do, but I sat there for a while because everyone was busy (which I understood). When I finally got called back I picked my color, and she began to work on my nails. She took a very long time, which I would have been fine with, if it was worth it. But I had to ask multiple times to shorten or make my nails thinner. None of my nails are the same length, she didn't even check them. All of the nail polish at my cuticle is uneven. She left acrylic gunk on my skin. They also don't have covers on their UV lamps, I burnt my hand taking it out. When she started to paint them I had to ask her to fill in multiple spots she missed and she left nail polish on my skin. And the color doesn't even match what I asked for. They also do not accept tips on a credit card so I couldn't even tip her. I will not be going back, unless I go to the younger women, who looked like she did nice work! read more

I'm visiting from out of town and decided to get a pedicure to relax after a long flight the day befor so I came across this business . I walked in the door and was completely ignored . I mentioned I wanted a pedicure and they had me wait . I was taken care by an older woman who was cold and spoke no English as she looked me up and down . The woman was very rough and was hurting my leg and instead of asking me to re position my feet she yanked and jostled me around . She rushed me to pick a polish . She told me they didn't do mail designs which the man behind the counter later told me they did . I'm not sure what I did other than perhaps she didn't like the way I looked . What hurt me most was as I was getting a pedicure a older woman came in and instead of having her wait her turn for the pedicure they set her up instantly and let her take her time to pick her polish unlike me . I went in for a regular pedi and mani cause I needed to treat myself for doing such a great job in the yard and with my hands and feet kind of in need of a good pedi mani. I moved to the Allentown area in Sept. 2015 and after going to 14 nail salons I FINALLY found my place!!!! I typically try to find a salon near my home, but after trying several without success, I decided to expand my search. Although this place is abt 10 miles from where I live, my nail tech TINA certainly makes the experience worth the drive. Here is what I look for: 1. Clean Salon- I visited the salon twice, once on a busy Saturday and yesterday, a rainy Wednesday. Both times the salon was clean and inviting. 2. Color selection- I use Gel polish on both my mani & pedi. I love to be able to put on my shoes and immediately walk out the door without worrying abt ruining my polish. They have 4 - 5 color wheels to choose from, approx 18 polish colors per wheel. 3. Communication- are we able to communicate and understand my needs, and yes the techs speak and understand English. 4. Cost- by far the least expensive cost in several years. $88.00 for a fill, a pedi, and eyebrow and lip wax. I expected to pay $30 higher. 5. Quality- Both times Tina has done a exceptional job. Nails are NOT thick and look natural. The polish is very clean and precise. I also notice a beautiful spring nail Art on her own nails. Left hand was done by her and her right hand by her co-worker. The hand she did was 100 times better, with the tiniest details, I was very impressed. 6. Speed without compromising Quality- I hate spending all day at a nail salon. I was there abt 1 hr 30 min for a fill, pedi, and waxing. The majority of the time spent on the pedi. So I give this place a 5 star and I'm ecstatic I found TINA! BTW- I learned yesterday there is a girl by the name of Christina, different lady than the one I use. I've only used with Tina and can only provide feedback on her work. read more

I was staying in Allentown from, out of state, over the weekend and needed a pedicure. I used Yelp and saw the ratings. I called the early evening before to schedule 4 pedicures for 10am. I was told that it could be done but my party needed to be there on time. My arrived 15 minutes early, to wait until their staff arrived around 10:15 - mind you they open at 9:30. While the staff was pleasant - the spa pedicures were ok (and I have had quite a few in my life). I went to this salon because I needed a quick mani on my lunch break. I walked in and was greeted warmly and after waiting only 3 minutes was called back by a lady who proceeded to sit down, put her headphones in and 'do' my nails. It was certainly a quick manicure, she barely filed my nails, barely buffed them and was very rough. She didn't say one word to me, but for $10 i'm not expecting an amazing conversation over a wonderful manicure so I was ok with it. Until she started painting and I looked at my nails. There were globs of top coat on each nail , not even smoothed out and when I sat under the dryer i looked and 3 nails weren't painted completely (corners and top just left undone) and my thumb nail was completely slanted! So i asked her to fix it nicely and she laughed, said something in another language and pulled out a clipper and clipped the tiniest piece ever off, which did nothing. I said whatever and said down to finish drying. When I was almost dry she walked over with a file and filed the nail messing up the polish and it is still slanted. Then she walked away. I went to pay and she just said "$10" so i said, ok you can make it $15 and keep 5 for yourself (I always tip, i feel horrible if I don't). She said "we can't tip on card" so i said oh ok. But she charged me $15 anyway??????? Handed me the receipt to sign and my copy and didn't say thanks or anything. I rolled my eyes and left. I used to be a regular customer here but their service quality has definitely gone down. Their color variety in gel nailpaint has really gone down. They don't carry any of my usual colors and say they can't reorder the ones they uses to carry. Just went in there today. Only 2 other customers in there. 3 techs sitting in the breakroom and the main tech with a customer. All techs kept looking towards me and refused to come out and ask what I was there for. If you have all the time in the world and are just looking for basic service, this place is tolerable. I just went to this salon for an eyebrow wax. I waited 40 minutes. There was no one in line ahead of me. In fact, six people came in after me - the employees didn't even acknowledge their existence. Two of them had appointments and still waited at least 20 minutes (I left before they were taken back). The last time I went here and I waited almost an hour to get my eyebrows and nails done. Not worth it for a manicure! Over priced for the mediocre job. I called in at 5:30 on a Wednesday (they take appointments this day). I asked if anything was available for 6PM and she said "Yes, we are available, please come in". I said I was on my way and would be there at 6 for my manicure. Upon arriving, I didn't get seated until 6:30. The manicure as a whole was sub par from the beginning to the end. The paint job was what really left me wanting more though. They didn't paint the sides all the way down or the nail to the end of the cuticle. They also left lines on the sides from the 2nd layer that they never smoothed out. Every single nail on my left hand has a line from the 2nd layer. When I asked her to fix the most notable one at the time, she looked annoyed, painted over, and left a larger line. I was there 6 days ago for a mani pedi. The pedicure was fine and still is. I got a gel manicure. I showed the nail tech a picture of nail art (a simple heart) and asked if she could do it. She said of course. The heart is not well filled in, the "matching" one on the other hand was terrible. The manager told me the nail art would be no cost. It was so bad that I asked her to remove it. She removed the one but said she couldn't remove the other as it was dry. 4 days later all the gel began to peel off. Today I need to remove it as it is catching on my hair and sweater and looks terrible. I won't be going back.
