I straight up photoshopped my house colors on and they helped me achieve my vision. From the consultation - Evan and Travis gave me a lot of their time, answered all my questions, and didn't make me feel rushed. I felt super heard and like they were there to help me understand! I chose a paint and remodel company because I have a 1930s craftsman home and wanted its beauty and character preserved and enhanced - I knew a regular paint company wouldn't accomplish that. Then came the actual painting. I think I had them try like 10 different swatches and I changed my mind half a dozen times up until the last minute. The crews (led by Jeromy, Richard, and Jason) were all incredibly patient, warm, and friendly. Even when I panicked over my bold choices halfway through the painting, they were calm and easygoing (while still doing diligent and quality work). The guys on the crews were painters and carpenters capable of repairs and rebuilding my wooden porch railing. I will honestly miss seeing the guys around because everyone was so nice! It feels like I have a brand new house and I am so in love! The neighbors have been oohing and aahing as well. Returned with his wife and teen son. Our only conclusion was that the teen son did the painting as evidenced by pictures. Did ABSOLUTELY NO PREP! Nail holes were not filled. Did not remove switch plates. Did not remove picture hangers or wall anchors. Did not ask questions about what to remove. Painted a wall (twice) that he was asked not to paint. Claimed (twice) that he had fixed all issues about which we expressed dissatisfaction. He cleaned up only things he thought we could see. Pictures attached to this review are the AFTER pictures. AFTER he had fixed ALL problems. We will be filling a complaint with the CCB.

But the "warranty" apparently is bogus, and he is not even giving me the courtesy of telling me he is unwilling to fix things, and unwilling to give me any recommendations for a different painter. I could have done it myself and rented a sprayer. But I would have had to buy tarps, and a lot of tape, and better ladders etc. and it was just too daunting. So the walls weren't getting painted. Jim did the whole job in a day for $700 and with a guarantee. He used the best paint, and would come back to touch-up any missed spots, but we haven't found any. No mess, no bother, no straining my neck and shoulders, no clean-up, and no rentals to return. Well worth the price.

We are sure glad we did! First of all, you will be hard pressed to find a nicer and more honest person than Jim. Second, he is VERY skilled in his craft. Our home looks BEAUTIFUL! The quality of the paint job is second to none. Jim also provided a color consultant. This is something that we would never have thought of. We had Shannon from Shannon Campbell Designs out to our home, and we went with colors that again, we would have never thought of. Our home colors are beautiful, and we have NEVER seen out exact color combo! Trust me, we spent literally months looking at homes, websites, etc to choose our colors. Jim and his crew pressure washed, prepped, and painted the house quickly. They left NO mess. Our painted decks were a total mess. They were so ugly that we used to close the slider door blinds when guests came over. Jim explained the correct paint to use so the deck could "breathe" and guaranteed that the decks paint won't peel again. Speaking of guarantees: Jim will come out annually for three years to inspect the paint, make sure all is well, and that we are happy. And finally, Jim told us that the paint job didn't require as much time to paint and prep it, so Jim cut the price of the job by $700.00! He could have kept the money and we still would have been thrilled. We were beside ourselves with Jim's honesty. This type of customer service is sorely lacking in our society. Chico was quick to respond and provided us a quote within 1 day. After waiting for two additional quotes, from other Painting Contractors, my wife and I decided to go with Double Diamond Painting because of the value competitive quote and genuine professionalism of Chico. The Painting project started on time as promised and they completed the job 1-day ahead of schedule. Negatives: The only negatives that my wife & I have, though minor, was the attention to the finishing up details. Items such as putting back the correct electrical plates back on wall, wrong door knobs on the wrong door and leaving cigarette butts on the ground in our back yard and front garage. These minor details is what prevented me from giving Double Diamond a five-star rating for this painting project. Overall: All in all, my wife and I are very satisfied on how this Interior painting project turned out, especially the color scheme. Bill was extremely helpful in selecting color combinations and which paint brand to use. He told me to get bids from other painting companies before I made a decision so I did. His bid was $500 less than some of the other compaies would have charged. I was worried since his bid was so cheap but I gave him a try anyway. I am happy I did because my house looks great now! Pros: Best price! Pressure washed the whole house before he painted. Left me a color fan so I can choose from hundreds of colors. Small business so Bill, the owner, is actually on the job site the whole time so you can trust everything will be done correctly. Left me touch up paint for the house and trim. Cons: Starts at 8am so dont expect to sleep in. I saw some paint chips left in the bark dust from scrapping off the old paint. Overall, you cannot beat the price. Bill charges much less for the exact same paint job you would get from other companies. Very friendly and willing to customize the paint job anyway you like. I got a nice bright red door!
