While waiting for the tow truck to arrive I called around body shops and searched various user review sites. Being new to El Paso I chose the one I found with the most descriptive reviews: Southwest Body Shop. I called ahead and sent pictures to the owner, Jesus, who was quick to respond. So I had the tow truck driver take it here. The process was pretty straightforward from there; where my insurance was actually the one lagging behind. The body shop had identified the issue and told me what they found damaged with my car within 24 hours whereas my insurance took a week to send a representative to see the car. After my insurance got their lives together the body shop began ordering the parts and the repair was underway. They kept me updated with daily phone calls, because I was antsy about my car, and couldn't wait to get it back in my hands again. The owner himself even sent me pictures of every part they replaced! TL;DR: Great communication, friendly staff, and descriptive updates about repairs from first contact to receiving my car back.

Called to make an appointment to have the outside handle of my car replaced…read more When I took my CR-V in, Ralph Hernandez, the Business Owner, looked at the car and further checked the front hood area, which needed bracing. He ordered the Handle and asked me to bring the car in the following week when the handle should come in. Within an hour and a half, my car was fixed. Excellent job! Excellent service--he braced the loose body parts as well. Mr. Hernandez is honest and communicates with confidence about his work due to his knowledge and his well-trained and competent crew. I was highly impressed with the quality of work and service, and would highly recommend this body shop! Huge thank you, Ralph Hernandez and crew - 5 Star Collision! Mike Reidland is a very dishonest mechanic. No integrity at all. I asked him if he could put…read moretogether my 1963 Chevy C10 pick up truck June of 2017. I gave him 11 things to do. 1 make a wire harness. 2 take fuel cell from behind seat to relocate in back of bed, 3 fix a small hole the size of a quarter on the driver side floor. 4 put the windows on the driver side doors and handles. 5 put the wooden bed on. 6 put seat belts in. 7 mount the bench seat. 8 mount the rearview mirror. 9 put side mirrors on the door. 10 install front and rear bumper. 11 put new steering wheel on. If Mike would have just done one thing a month he would have been finished. Instead he did half of one. Half done wireharness that now I have to pay someone to check it and finish it. I provided all the parts for Mike Reidland. I gave him 4000.00 dollars in October 2017 to get my truck going. From June 2017 until October 2017 he did nothing to my truck. He started my wireharness in November 2017. He finished a half done wireharness in May of 2018. Mike started off telling me he would have my truck done in November 2017. Then he said December 2017. Then January 2018 came. After January he started to say he need two more weeks. I final went to see the truck in May of 2018, and I saw my truck full of dirt with scratches on the paint job. I picked up my truck 343 days later. I've asked Mike for a invoice, and it's been two weeks. Still no invoice. This is not a restoration guarge. Mike gave me every excuse. Do yourself a favor find a different mechanic that knows what he's doing. I'm writing this review, so he doesn't take advantage of anyone else. Mike is incompetent as a owner, and as a mechanic. SHAME ON YOU MIKE REIDLAND.
