Crew ignored people openly smoking on non-smoking vessel and the bar overserved - many passengers very drunk. Cruise was too long and the worst part is once you're on board there's no escape.

I highly recommend people go even without the Groupon as it was a great experience. Our cruise was on an old time schooner called the "Empire Sandy", a lovely ship that dates back to the second world war. We set sail at around 7:30 pm and they started us off with some appetizers that consisted of corn chips, salsa, fried beans and celery/carrots with dip. There's room on the ship up top to hang out and enjoy the view as well as a formal dining area below deck. The cruise was about an hour in at around 8:30 pm before dinner was served (it's a very late dinner so make sure to eat a bit beforehand!). Dinner consisted of potato salad, rice, coleslaw, chicken and ribs. No complaints on the food as it was cooked extremely well by the crew. A dessert table was also included but was not served until the tail end of the cruise, they provided us with fresh fruit, carrot cake, brownies and cheese cake. The cruise itself was amazing. It offered a very unique view of the city where you could see the city light up at night. The atmosphere was very family friendly with couples and families young and old enjoying the ride. The crew was very helpful and really added to the experience too, everything went smoothly and they even fired off a cannon for us. There is also an on board DJ and dance floor if you choose to enjoy that. A few recommendations if you do want to give it a try, make sure you wear casual wear as it could get uncomfortable standing around for roughly 4 hours. There are also certain dates available for the dinner cruise from the website so you have to make sure you book before hand (at least a week before the cruise).

Once everyone got off the boat I asked for a receipt and he stated: "he forgot his book at him but will give me an invoice on Monday". As Monday rolled around he emailed me following details "Amount: ***" thanks for having your event on his boat. I told him this is not a receipt as it has no information its simply an email with my amount and he replied saying this is the best HE COULD DO AND STOPPED PICKING UP MY PHONE!!!! he stated he cannot provide HST # for his company (even though I paid HST) BECAUSE HE DOES NOT DO IT FOR SMALL PEOPLE AND tried to change the topic by asking "did you have fun" that's all that matters money shouldn't matter. LASTLY, he had said I could have my own coke bottles on the boat and when we were in the boat I noticed they were missing, this was because the staff had taken my bottles and put them behind the bar and when I told them I already spoke to the captain, captain wife wanted to clarify and when she asked him infront of me he denied that HE HAD SAID THAT TO ME! VERY VERY VERY STRESSFUL !!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND, I rather paid extra for more professional service !!!!

All guests were anxious and hungry. Due to the delay in dinner we never got an opportunity to really enjoy any dancing as the while night we were waiting on food. We were not given any updates on that situation and even went back to the dock to the confusion of all guests to pick up the late dinner. A little courteous update would have been appreciated. I was pressed to give a tip upfront!! Rude! Tips are to be earned, and they were very undeserving of a generous tip. The boat was dirty from top to bottom and the food was mediocre. Overall I would give it a 2/10 and will not be recommending this company to anyone.

The cost of the cruise is not cheap either..For $60 one should get a better experience. The vessel itself is in a very bad condition and in need of upgrades and repairs. The security guard and skipper were extremely rude and very unprofessional. On Saturday Aug 24 I was participating in a Caribbean themed cruise and travel all the way from Guelph to get to this cruise, I had woken up very early to arrive at this cruise on time and as a result I was extremely tired, once on board, I took my seat in the dining room and must have nodded off briefly while waiting for the food to arrive. I was rudely woken up by security and told I am to be removed from the cruise for being intoxicated..I had not even ordered a single drink that entire day...This rude security man and skipper started to escort me off the ship before we even left the pier...I asked for the organizer of this event to come forward to defend me from being wrongly removed from this cruise boat and she explained to both the skipper and the security guard that I'm am sober and had been traveling a long way to get to this cruise on time, and me falling asleep was due to fatigue and not from being drunk. Finally the skipper allowed me to remain on board this cruise..The incident was extremely traumatic and very embarrassing and it ruined my enjoyment of the cruise. I will never sail with this cruise company again.

Plenty of quality food, beer and other alcohol choices were on offer for sampling and there was a variety of good music and prize giveaways as well. This Event took place a few weeks later in the summer than the Cruise I attended 3 years ago, therefore it became dark earlier and with the humidity/clouds among the encroaching sunset, an almost ethereal image was cast around the boat. I found that both of the Yelp Boat Cruise Events I've attended were just the right length at about 2 1/2 to 3 hours - not too long and not to short. Both Events also appeared to be very well organized and the boat large enough and well enough maintained to help ensure smooth 'sailing'. I hope to be able to attend the same Event next year.
