They have snacks and drinks for sale and you're able to move around the boat while it's in motion to look at everything. Our guide narrating everything was HILARIOUS, just absolutely hysterical. He had a very dry and witty sense of humor and was incredibly funny. I was laughing the whole time. He was under appreciated by his audience and I think that may have been to the speakers not being the clearest but I just stood up and moved closer to them.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I spent over $400 on 16 tickets for the Sunset Cruise for my birthday on September 27, 2025. We never made it because Toronto was completely gridlocked from the Messi event. I called and was told by one of the operators that I would be able to use the tickets another time, so I wasn't worried. When I actually tried to rebook, nobody answered the phone. After calling over and over, I was forced to use their texting service. Suddenly, I was told my tickets couldn't be used, I couldn't get a refund, and they wouldn't offer any credit or compensation. Instead, they told me to contact travel insurance. I'm from Northern Ontario. Why would I buy travel insurance for a day trip within my own province? Keeping over $400 for tickets that were never used and refusing to work with a customer in any way is terrible business. The complete lack of communication, impossible customer service, and unwillingness to stand behind what your staff told me is unacceptable. I won't be booking with this company again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either.

You must be a member of the RCYC in order to sail or dine here or be invited by a member to attend. Sarah assisted me in coordinating our group getting on/off the water taxi from Toronto over to the island and also with helping people get situated for the event since I was unable to attend in person. She did a fantastic job and went the extra mile, ordering an extra water taxi for me when one of our VP's was running late from a very important meeting. Everyone who attended gave me rave reviews on the skipper and crew than ran the three 8' foot yachts I reserved. The photographer I hired through the yacht club also did an amazing job. I set up a small training session with appetizers and drinks before they sailed, and that was well done. Dinner for everyone was also reported back to my VP's and GM's as delicious and executed well. They raved about the steak. The wine selection offered to me was a great choice of red and white from Canada, US, France and Italy. They have a strict dress code. No blue denim, short shorts, mini skirts or tank tops. Hats are only allowed on ladies if they go with their attire in the dining room. Collared shirts are required for dining. No cell phones or computers are allowed in the dining room. Non-marking soles are needed for sailing. They require a waiver be signed by each party before sailing. Due to weather, the skipper may cancel/change plans for the event. Turns out that when I was trying to book the place back in May, their power went out due to a large wind storm.

The clubhouse is situated at the end of Gordon street and offers a fantastic view of lake Ontario. Amenities are much like those from a well kept small resort with the convenience facilities like the showers, a staffed bar, multiple outdoor patios and communal BBQ for the members and their guests. Since we joined towards the end of this year's boating season, we did not get to experience the regatta and other fun activities like the Octoberfest planned by the club, but we're looking forward to enjoying the full experience next year.

From intro sailing for little kids (called Mosquitos) to more advanced sailing programs (White Sail) to advanced sailing techniques and racing (Broze, Silver, Gold), the WYC is a superb place for smart, active, eager kids who love the water and want to learn many life lessons and skills they will hold onto for the rest of their lives. Our favourite instructor Ian has moved on and now Emma has taken over. My son raves about Emma and the other instructors. Both on water and classroom instruction. The little kids play games too and have fun. Sunscreen required...at least SPF 45, applied at least twice a day. At the end of the year there is a banquet and the kids get their diplomas, have a meal and awards are handed out. Trust me, this is a great summer program. Space is limited. Go to www.wyc.ca and check out the summer school brochure and schedule. We're not members of the club, you dont need to be either. I hope a couple of members review the club itself...seems like a great group of people.

Don't skip out on the VR, it was well worth it & you're able to "fly over the mountains". I'm making plans to go back, and I would only tweak one thing - if you're going with 2 people or more, spread apart your flying times - ex. 11am (you), and 1130am (friend). Once you're in the flying zone, you can't take your phone and take pictures. But if you scatter your times, one person can take photos while the other flies!

We arrived in the morning with all the little kids and their parents on a Saturday and it was raining. But the park didn't close and it was actually not that bad in the actual trees. However, we did get very wet and some of the wooden obstacles were quite slippery. I would definitely recommend wearing the right clothes! Wearing grippy running shoes helped get through the obstacle course - even in the rain. And the long pants and long sleeve hiking jacket kept me from getting rope burns. It was overall a good time and would definitely recommend it to other people. The only thing is, we were only able to get through 4/6 courses with a short break in between because we were a bit more cautious than other groups. It took us 4 hours so we ended up getting kicked out in the end because it was only supposed to take 3 hours. I wish they had let us stay a bit longer. 6 courses in 3 hours would only be possible for people who are already quite athletic I think. Otherwise staff were friendly, the orientation at the beginning was helpful, and the snacks are a really good price. I think it was less than $3 for a mini can of Pringles or a small bag of chip nuts. There's also water and popsicles available too. Washrooms weren't the cleanest but I wouldn't expect them to be in an outdoorsy place like this.

There is not one but several ports of entry. I followed Google Maps and that's the port I used. Another tip that will save you some $. Drive one more street (Yong St. toward Kibo Sushi) and you will find a parking lot that charges $20 from 6am-6pm versus the one near the Jack Layton Perry Dock that charges $20 for 2 hours! Come really early as initially we had difficulty finding a parking that would fit our SUV (w/o scratching ours and others' cars!) When we complained and were about to leave, the parking attendant found us a better space that had more room. We came with our toddler (2.5-ish) just for her. I agree with sentiment of some other reviewers that the rides could use an upgrade. If it's first time your kid is riding, I would sit with them on slower rides. At least they had some animals (rabbits, donkey, horses, sheep?, goats, and Llamas). Food is the same that you would expect anywhere in an amusement. Pizzas, burgers, fries, etc. etc. Important note: When going back, you will see "Water Taxi" signs and "Ferry". Do not stand in massive line for Ferry. We waited almost an hour then decided to ditch the line and it didn't take us much time to get a water taxi instead. There were few people and in very short time, enjoyed our ride back. Kudos to the water taxi companies. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It's old and outdated and expensive. Basically those are the 3 adjective describe this place! It's for kids 10 and under I would say. You can go in and do splash pad for free.
