Nothing luxurious about cramming 20-30 people on a boat for 4 hours with just one head.

The cost of the cruise is not cheap either..For $60 one should get a better experience. The vessel itself is in a very bad condition and in need of upgrades and repairs. The security guard and skipper were extremely rude and very unprofessional. On Saturday Aug 24 I was participating in a Caribbean themed cruise and travel all the way from Guelph to get to this cruise, I had woken up very early to arrive at this cruise on time and as a result I was extremely tired, once on board, I took my seat in the dining room and must have nodded off briefly while waiting for the food to arrive. I was rudely woken up by security and told I am to be removed from the cruise for being intoxicated..I had not even ordered a single drink that entire day...This rude security man and skipper started to escort me off the ship before we even left the pier...I asked for the organizer of this event to come forward to defend me from being wrongly removed from this cruise boat and she explained to both the skipper and the security guard that I'm am sober and had been traveling a long way to get to this cruise on time, and me falling asleep was due to fatigue and not from being drunk. Finally the skipper allowed me to remain on board this cruise..The incident was extremely traumatic and very embarrassing and it ruined my enjoyment of the cruise. I will never sail with this cruise company again.

Plenty of quality food, beer and other alcohol choices were on offer for sampling and there was a variety of good music and prize giveaways as well. This Event took place a few weeks later in the summer than the Cruise I attended 3 years ago, therefore it became dark earlier and with the humidity/clouds among the encroaching sunset, an almost ethereal image was cast around the boat. I found that both of the Yelp Boat Cruise Events I've attended were just the right length at about 2 1/2 to 3 hours - not too long and not to short. Both Events also appeared to be very well organized and the boat large enough and well enough maintained to help ensure smooth 'sailing'. I hope to be able to attend the same Event next year.

What a HUGE mistake. As many others have already stated, the boat was rusty, old, dirty, and especially stinky; I think we were all high on diesel fumes by the end of the trip. The food was not as advertised, pretty much inedible. The tour itself was also not as advertised, not going around the island at all but staying in the harbor and putting around at super-slow speed to try and fill up the two hours. While I will plead with anyone reading this to NOT give these shysters your business, I will say that we ended up having a pretty good time, poking fun at the awfulness and making the best of a terrible situation. I feel sorry for anyone who paid full price for the cruise; even Groupon's reduced price of $30 was $30 too much.

To break it down; the boat looks like it could have been the May Flower, its so old. The food was nothing to write home about and didn't fill us up by any means (we used yelp to find us a place to get dinner after we docked). Thirsty? A plastic cup of coke, mostly filled with ice, will run you $3, Then again, so will a bottle of water. And you kind of have to buy it or you'll end up dehydrating by the end of the night. Which by the way, feels like it would never come. The music initially was way off from the 80s retro night it advertised. After dinner, about an hours time in, the music started and this part wasn't too bad. At least the music playing was from the 80s - the dj however could have been better. He wasn't very good at mixing at all. But hes working for a run-down boat, so I suppose I couldn't have expected much. My advice- if you've never been on a dinner cruise before, it is kind of nice to go on the outside of the boat and look out at the water. Should try everything once in your life, but use a groupon if you're going to go. You'll thank me.

Came for an event June 15th 2024 and was having a good time until things took a turn for the worst…read more I was with a group of 5 people including my girlfriend. After some time she began feeling sick like she needed to throw up and was sent to the main floor to throw up off the side of the boat. I was with her when our friend hosting the event told her to go to the washroom to throw up. As she needed to go down some more stairs my friend said I should go as well and make sure she was good which I did. Just in case she was to trip or fall down the stairs I helped her into the bathroom and then to the stall where there was an out of service toilet in the middle. As the two other stalls were occupied it was the only option and I moved the trash bin out of the way for her and held her as she was vomiting. While doing this a woman grabbed me out of the stall and told me to "GET OUT" aggressively. I dismissed her and was only focused on my girlfriend. The female then placed herself between us and began forcing me out of the bathroom by walking into me. Once we got to the stairs my girlfriend was trying to hold this female and tell her to stop. She decided to put her hand around my throat and choke me while I was trying to grab my girlfriend's hand. As this is happening a security guard came down the stairs and grabbed my hair pulling my whole head back. I stood my ground for about 10 seconds before turning around and realizing it was security where I then stopped resisting and was escorted upstairs. In the end I was told I was being aggressive to the female who was A STAFF MEMBER the whole time. After the event a random girl said that I put hands on the other woman (she wasn't even there). Another staff member as well as the girls in the washroom stalls said I was being aggressive with her even though they were in the stalls the whole time. My hands never went up once but because I am a man I was told that I was the one who was being threatening. There were a million ways this could have been handled better and the fact that I was chocked and had my head pulled without consequences for those involved because the other females defended the staff member is DISGRACEFUL. She is still on the boat go at your own risk.

I tried to had a relaxing time at the Ontario Place on a Sunday and Saturday afternoon, a picnic with friends... what I got instead? overwhelming and throbbing beats from Stella Borealis that seemed to be moored in front of Trillium Park in the Ontario Place for a more than an hour not going absolutely anywhere. next weekend the same sh%#. seriously, this boat is suppose to cruise around Toronto Islands, yet it spends more than an our around the Ontario Place two weekends in a row. till I've read these reviews I thought honestly nobody on board cares about where they go as long as they have music and booze, and I wanted to suggest going as far from the waterline as possible (like middle of Ontario lake seriously, to spare all beach/park goers, not to mention just Toronto or Toronto Islands residents ears). can the management of the company consider how obnoxious to so many people their enterprise is? Can they play the music not so loud, or make the boat go farther away from he shore? or have it actually moving along instead being moored at the same place for more than an hour? Stella Borealis inflicts torture, it ruins experience for people who live in the city, don't own cottages and just have nowhere else to go but to the lake to cool off. I used to think jet ski were loud, but comparing to Stella Borealis music, jet ski engine sound is like a whisper. I mean it.
