The first time I found out about PartyTO was at a Yelp elite event at HotSpot Bubble Tea in Vaughan…read morelast September. I got to experience it again at a recent event at Rouge River Brewing Co. At the HotSpot event, I got to meet Don from PartyTO. He was an incredibly talented twist-balloon maker. I saw baby Yoda (Grogu) as a balloon design and knew that I had to get it. Don did a fantastic job creating the cutest balloon version of Grogu. He even added a bracelet strap so I could wear it like a corsage. It was awesome! At the Rouge River event, I met Yannick, who did my caricature. I haven't had many done of me in my life, but his version turned out great. He featured my big skull and bangs. He even noticed that my hair had reddish-purply colours that they ended up in the caricature, too. Both Don and Yannick completed their masterpieces in perhaps five minutes. They were super fast and efficient creating their works of art. I also enjoyed chatting with them and they didn't mind engaging as they twisted balloons and caricatures, respectively. Both love their craft and work at it full-time. PartyTO seems like the perfect vendor to hire for fun corporate events. I tend to plan events for my team at work. However, if I ever have the chance to suggest getting a twist balloon or caricature activity to spice up one of our corporate events, I'd definitely suggest PartyTO. (37)

We showed up with two little ones just as the place was supposed to be opening, at 10. It didn't…read morelook open, so I sat outside for a few minutes watching the cars speed by on the 401 only a few feet away. Finally I tried the door and it was open, and I stood around for a bit until a staff member came by. She was on the phone--in fact, she was on the phone the entire time we were there. The place wasn't set up yet and she was vacuuming the place and setting up a party room, all while on the phone. I'm not a fan of this place for my kids. One room was ice cold (it was December). I didn't find the padding at the foot of the slides sufficient, and the thin carpet over the concrete floor has no bounce to it and any kid who falls would get a pretty good bang. The climbing equipment was not easy to move around on, and I didn't have easy access to the kids when they were high up in the climbing apparati when I needed to. There's a climbing wall with no padding on the ground below--one quick slip to the barely covered concrete below. Perhaps most egregiously, there wasn't any coffee--that would have been a nice touch for the adults--and nowhere really for the parents to sit down. It's $8 each kid to play all day, which for us was about an hour. Not the best value to me. I prefer the Amazon playground on Vaughn Road, and the best I've seen so far is Amazing Adventures in Burlington; it would have been worth the drive.

Larger play area open to private parties as well. reasonable price for what is offered. Large space. Easy access from highway. Overall clean facility. Cons: the outside appearance looks very run down and unattractive. Entrance on the back side of building. Some of the decor is very old and falling apart. NEEDS AN UPDATE. number of games were not working (when I booked the venue, was not made aware of it. On day of party when I raised concern, was told as a matter of fact without any efforts to apologize or make up for it) . The host is very indifferent, did not take initiative. When we asked for a few extra chairs, was said no. Verdict: not going to be my first choice, but for its convenience and reasonable price, it will make the bottom of my list.
