Genius marketing and concept from Aritzia! Came here to grab an afternoon coffee after buying something from Aritzia, which is linked right beside. A-OK Cafe is owned by Aritzia so it's no surprise to be seeing these coffee shops popping up. The reason for my 5 star review? Their staff. Their staff were amazing and had such great customer service! They know how to keep their customers happy! The woman running their cash at this cafe chatted me up while I was looking at the menu. Seeing that I had a large Aritzia shopping bag, she casually asked me what I got this season. It was a coat and she made me feel really good about it! The next thing I knew after ordering my coffee, she said it was on her! Comping both coffees that I wanted to get. How did this make me feel? To the moon (haha!) Genius customer service tactics that they have! Now onto the drink. I got my iced coffee with oat milk and it was creamy. nutty and had good coffee flavour. What is the most memorable about this cafe is the interior. It's beautiful, chic and a great place to hang out or catch up over a beverage. They also serve alcohol, and displays alcohol bottles on the shelves. I'm a happy customer that will be coming back! :)

I love the vibes and aesthetics of this cafe. It's very open / spacious but with just enough seating (for a weekday anyway!) We ordered a drip coffee and cappuccino. We did not really enjoy their espresso so I'll probably try their tea lattes instead next time. There is a self-serve water station at the back of the cafe which is nice. The pastries were good but -1 star since they didn't have the ability to heat it up. It would've been much better if they could and I hope that's something they change in the future!

Very good service and nice atmosphere. I got the caprese pastry, it was pretty good, except I think it would have been better if it was warmed. I came here with low expectations because I was thinking how can Aritzia make good coffee? They aren't even a coffee store! When I had my first sip of my latte, I was quite surprised they did coffee art and the coffee had flavour. One latte I wasn't sure what the picture was, but the heart tulip was adorable. The decor was very nice and calming inside, luxurious, but not overly decorated.

Newly opened inside Aritzia a cafe/bar where you can grab regular cafe food and beverage with some unique options as well like an ube latte or alcoholic beverages. The space is actually quite larger than expected with seating and nice aesthetics for photos and vibe. You can shop then enjoy a nice cafe/bar or vice versa.

This is very Montreal-esque/styled cafe inside Aritzia! It's spacious and there is plenty of room to sit. There is a "no laptops" sign which is nice to see and it might be hard for people to stay for a long time anyways cause I did not see outlet. I got an oat matcha latte and it was decent! They currently use minor figures oat milk which is the typical brand that we see at most cafes if you are looking for dairy alternatives. Perhaps they were still learning to make the drink, it did take awhile to get mine and it was lukewarm. I'll be back to check out the coffee next time. Might I add, this is a nice spot if your partner is waiting for you as you take hours to shop and try on clothes at Aritzia.

Vanilla latte and matcha latte with oat milk

This is a coffee shop associated with Aritzia. The vanilla latte was a perfect balance of coffee, vanilla syrup and milk. I would go back for this. The matcha latte tasted a little fishy for my liking and I would not recommend this. Service wise, the baristas were polite. Ambiance wise, it was very nicely decorated. This is not a laptop friendly place.

Love everything about the decor.. The green of the sofas, the lights, the mirror, the green marble tables!! Great place to catch up with friends as it is a no-laptop-zone. We only tried the matcha lattes and thought they just tasted like milk with a hint of matcha. Wasn't that flavourful so hopefully their coffee is better.

Such a cute little cafe at Markville mall! It's perfect for a date or catch up with your friends. There's a lot of seating and I saw a sign for "no laptops" which I thought was different. They want you to relax without tech distractions! The space is renovated beautifully. The drink sizes only come in "small" sizes. I wished they had larger options.

I tried the Ube Latte from the newly opened cafe in Aritzia. This drink was pretty good. The ube flavour was really strong, which I liked. I also added in oat milk, which made the drink more creamy and nutty. Although the drink was good, it was quite pricey considering the cup size.

tried a couple seasonal drinks at this relatively new location inside Aritzia at Markville the hibiscus lemonade was super pretty but i'm not big on floral flavours so i enjoyed the chai latte more - strong chai flavour w/ hint of cinnamon powder (all the fall vibes) also love their interior

Love this cafe! Taro or ube latte is my favourite drink. I also tried the mushroom hummus and chips which was okay. I like the workers and baristas who are super nice and the cafe vibe is great. They do have a no laptop policy so defiantly not a work remote place.

The staff there were super friendly and helpful, and since this cafe is a laptop-free area, it was nice to just sit and chat with my friend. I'm not normally a citrus with coffee kind of girl, but the Tiger Bomb looked really interesting to me and I do love an orange and dark chocolate flavour! The drink did not disappoint at all, and one of the staff members explained different ways I could start drinking it in order to get a blend of the different layers of flavours that were going on. I loved that there was a flavour profile card with the list of everything that was happening both taste-wise and aroma-wise, and it was a lovely experience. My friend had ordered the coffee trio taster which I can't recall what there was exactly, but I do remember there being a citrus tonic kind of drink, an espresso shot, and a latte to finish off (in order of recommended taste by the staff members). We did end up sharing a slice of key lime pie as a nice treat too and it was nice and tart and not overly sweet! The price is a bit intimidating, especially compared to the rather small portion size, but it's definitely not coffee flavours that you can get at your typical cafe or chain coffee shop so I would recommend giving it a try for sure, just for that experience!

Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary, either. But what you really go for is the view of Toogood pond. With a review like that, you'd think I'd rate it higher. So why did I give it only 2 stars? We liked it enough that we tried to make a reservation again. Only now, their policies had changed. You had to make a $25 minimum per person, and on top of that, they add a 20% penalty (what they euphemistically call "gratuity". But it most definitely is not a gratuity, because a gratuity means that it's voluntary. There's nothing voluntary about the 20% surcharge. So call it what it is - a penalty). Because of these 2 extremely dumb changes, we'll never be dining there again. There are plenty of other delicious spots in Unionville (including 3 other Italian restaurants that don't have these practices), that there's no need to tolerate these policies.

Service was superb with very friendly servers - so friendly that even my toddler with stranger anxiety liked them and engaged with them! Atmosphere and view were great since it was sitting on Toogood Pond. Inside was really cute too. Tables, chairs, and even the booster were clean. Zero complaints! The only thing is the washroom is the public park washroom so it's not the prettiest and cleanest; there were some bugs and some smell. In terms of the menu, there aren't a lot of choices for pasta but it makes sense since it is a bistro. Ordered the Mortadella & Burrata and Tagliatelle al Ragu. Both were really delicious and the pasta tasted fresh even though we don't know if it's fresh pasta. Had a really good experience here and would definitely come back! This spot is perfect for date nights since there are many small tables and the vibe is just a date night vibe!

It was my first time here and i was surprised to see that they also have seating here as well. I was intrigued with their seasonal menu and I'm so glad I checked them out because their drinks were delicious and well rounded in flavour. Opted for their blueberry latte and peach jasmine cloud and both drinks were so delicious! The blueberry latte had a nice subtle blueberry flavour with the coffee. The peach jasmine cloud on the other hand was refreshing but had that savoury cheese foam on the top as well that worked well with the drink pairing. What a great local coffee shop with nicely curated drinks in Markham. Worth checking out for sure.

Also got a Kyoho Grape Hand-shaken Iced Tea. Originally asked for the latte to be iced, but when it was ready, it was hot. I mentioned to the barista, who double-checked the order placed, and said they could make me a new one. But because I didn't want to wait any longer, I said it was ok and I would just enjoy the hot version. I was still waiting for my iced tea, so while sitting, the barista came over and gave me some change and said because they had charged me for an iced tea, it was only right to refund me for the extra charge. I appreciate the honesty. The Honey Cream Latte had a nice sweetness to it. The Kyoho Grape iced tea was also slightly sweet, but balanced and refreshing. If staying in, there's a few tables inside that seat 2 per table. Some patrons were eating food that they ordered off the menu, while others were on their laptops, or chatting with their friend. There's also free parking in the plaza's lot.

Their coffee/espresso is solid here (Hatch beans!), so you know you're getting a good drink. I went for their sea salt cheese foam latte (iced), which was a perfect blend of espresso, milk, & slightly sweet, salty, creamy foam. I also appreciate how there is some seating available (high top table by the front windows, bench seating along one side of the store). It's not the best cafe if you want to work or have a long chat, but it's nice that there's the option to sit and relax instead of just taking your drink to go. I wish the prices of their speciality drinks were slightly less expensive though, because $8 for an iced drink (while delicious & pretty) is a lot to spend.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)
